Every time I visit mom, the staff is friendly and helpful. They answer my questions, update me on how she is doing that day. And, Mom loves the food!

The physical environment is very "homey", clean and set up well for folks with dementia. The staff and care they provide are excellent - from the Director, to the RN and aide caregivers as well as the cook and maintenance man. Everyone pitches in and helps where needed and they all treat our loved one with respect and compassion; she has severe dementia, but seems happy and comfortable / content there. We are very happy with her care at Eau Claire Azura Memory Care.

Excellent care, clean facility, caring caregivers

Azura - Wausau has been my daughter's home for over 2 years now. She was diagnosed 13 years ago in her late 30's. She is so happy and well cared for at Azura. The Azura staff of caregivers are the most empathic, loving and caring people I have ever met. My daughter is safe, happy and loved at Azura. I am so grateful for Azura. Azura doesn't just hire staff, they hire angels.

I am very happy with Azura. The staff are friendly and professional. They have taken the time to get to know my mom's life story to understand her better. They are receptive to suggestions. I like that there is an option to see a nurse practitioner that comes to the facility. The director and staff are willing and open to talking to find solutions as things arise.

This is a wonderful memory care facility. It is smaller in size so the residents will get more personal, individual care. The staff is always very professional and respectful. I feel that my family member is always safe and well cared for.

Everyone is very helpful and very nice. I feel very comfortable knowing that my grandma is getting the best care.

When our father passed away, there was a huge void in all of our lives, but especially my mother. They met when they were 14 and had 60 years of marriage. My mom needed the kind of care we could not give her. She has been at Azura Wausau for five years and has been cared for by the staff with consideration, understanding and compassion. I thank my lucky stars for them.

There are not enough words to say just what Azura has meant to our family and mom. Having to move her to Azura 4 years ago was very difficult. But the past and present team enveloped her and us with open, loving arms. Azura cared for her as one of their own. She recently passed away, but was surrounded by her family and the Azura family as well. We cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Azura is top notch in caring for persons with dementia. I highly recommend them.

Azura - Larson House is very nice there. My mom loves it there. She loves all the activities they have there. I'm very happy she lives there. I don't worry that something would happen to her. The staff is awesome, they are so good with all the residents. [Name removed] that works there, my mom says she loves him. He's like a son she never had and I think he is great too. [Name removed], the director, she is so great too, very caring. She let my mom bring her cat with her there. A lot of the workers and residents have to come in to see mom and the cat. Rosie, mom's cat, loves all the attention.

My husband, [name removed], has been a resident here for less than one month. I have been impressed by the care during that brief time. Not long enough though to feel we know the staff well enough to nominate for the True Blue Award.

Only the brand new employees (and this is expected) do not meet or exceed the high standards expected of them.

I highly recommend Azura of Wausau for any loved one requiring specialty care due to its small, warm and caring atmosphere. It might not have the luxury of a new building with movie theaters, private bathrooms, etc., but the facility is kept up to date, clean and has all the amenities needed to care for the 19 residents. My mother has been a resident at Azura for many years and my family and I are very happy with the love and care she receives. This year, we experienced the frightful results of Covid-19, along with the horrible effects of Alzheimer's among our loved ones; however, Azura will conquer having gone through many changes will become a welcoming house for all... residents, family and friends.

We had several choices and toured several places and we think mom ended up in the best place!

Azura has been home to my aunt and now my mother in-law. They have lovingly cared for them and we are grateful for their service. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs memory care.

What I appreciate most about this community is the level of interaction that takes place between the staff and the residents. I see the staff devoting significant time engaging the residents in conversation, participating in activity with them in addition to the basic physical care given. The environment is pleasant and clean. My mother, who has been hard to please, tells me how nice it is to be there.

Great people. Worked very hard to get more admitted during Covid for us. Always inform us on what is going on in the center. Contact us if she needs something. Very clean environment. Mom seems very content. Friendly staff. Always answer any questions or concerns we may have.

I feel Azura is a very caring facility. Everyone is very friendly and good to the residents. I feel safe to have [name removed] live here. The only thing I notice is why don't they wear scrubs as everyone is different shapes and sizes instead of those t-shirts. I think they would look more professional, maybe all in navy.

Wonderful staff. My parent is happy and loves the staff. She is clean and eats well.
