Management represented Larkspur as a active adult community. It was in the beginning but as of late more people are moving in that should be in assisted living. The place is going down hill fast. Lots of maintenance issues that fall on deaf ears. Very disappointing. Didnt plan on living in assisted living yet.

Very unhappy with the response I got when my family member resident's air conditioning went out in hot June. Instead of getting a portable unit right away, they were going to make him wait 4 days for the parts to come in. His room got to over 80 degrees. I had to threaten to call the health department to report the director for neglect to get the situation resolved.

THE RENTS PUBLISHED ARE A LIE. I AM PAYING 1250.00 FOR A ONE BEDROOM APT. THE MANAGERS ARE VERY SLOW. IF YOU ARE NOT IN THEIR LITTLE CLICK YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK. I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE VERY SOON. CANNOT AFFORD THE RENT MUCH LONGER. THEY WANT PEOPLE FROM CALIFORNIA THAT WILL PAY AS MUCH AS THE OWNERS WANT. THERE ARE SEVERAL WIDOWS HERE ON SMALL INCOMES, THEY COULD AFFORD TO MOVE IN A FEW YEARS AGO BUT NOW THE RENTS ARE GOING THROUGH THE ROOF. THE ELEVATORS WORK PART TIME, IF THERE IS A FIRE AND THE DOOR IS BLOCKED YOU CANNOT GET OUT. THE SCREENS HAVE TO COME OUT FROM THE INSIDE, BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE OUT A WINDOW TO DO THAT. THEY ALSO LOCK THE MAIL ROOM .

My nephews and niece where trying to handle everything and because they did not write a letter to management the facility charged them another months rent Compassion is not high on their list nor did they check on him as they should have

I lived there for a year. The apartments are dated and very small. The staff is not the nicest people, they act as if they hate their jobs. Most of the people who live there are on walkers and ox. tanks. Most should be in a nursing home. They have a lot of sorry events that most normal people would never attend. The pets poop on the sidewalk and most of the people are to old/sick to pick up their pet's poop, so you sometime will step in the mess. The place is not very positive. Don't move there if you are a positive and happy person!

Beware of crime. Police were here for daylight robbery & last week a stolen car. Things are going down hill fast with new owners. Grounds are not well maintained once you leave the front. Always trash around the walkways. Also the maintenance staff fly around on carts & we have almost been hit twice since they did not stop or even look before rounding a corner. Office staff does not care.
