Highly recommend this community for excellent care for dementia/Alzheimer's community. The leadership is stable and leadership and staff are very caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their jobs. They have multiple activities during the day to keep the residents engaged and out of their rooms. Small community that provides residents home-like environment. As a healthcare professional this is the memory care unit I recommend.

Every visit the staff is kind and caring to all residents. I am a hospice worker and my patients are very well taken care of by facility staff. Facility is always clean. When I walk into this community it always feels like a home rather than an assisted living. [name removed] is an exceptional leader. [name removed] is a great nurse and above and beyond leader.

Great! All the people are so good with the residents ( I know I would NEVER have the patience). One surprise is how good the food is! I have been here many times (every day pre-virus) for meals and have tasted!

I am a hospice nurse at Encompass. I've been coming to the community for over 1 year. I myself have no concern on how our patients are cared for. The staff is very caring and loving to the residents. What impressed me most is that unless they're 2 hours up 2 hours down, they are all out in dining area participation in activities. Even the house supervisor is top-notch in caring for residents and making sure everything is done correctly.

My loved one has been at Colonial Gardens for three years. He has Parkinson's Disease. Although he participates less than he used to, there are many great activities for the residents. The care during the pandemic has been exceptional and the staff very helpful. The current Executive Director has a passion for the residents and has elevated the care of the residents since she was hired. She's readily available and assists in solving any issues. I love the small residences where there is a family feel. The food is delicious too.

My mother was placed in Colonial Gardens in July 2019. I had taken a tour of the facility earlier and found it was very nice. There was never a foul smell. There was a key pad on the door for the patient's safety. No one could just push on the door and get out. Safety was always important. Mom had three meals per day that were freshly cooked. When she didn't want what was cooked, one of them made her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. No complaints from the staff when I requested this. Given, [names removed] took excellent care of my sweet mom.

Letting you know that you have some fantastic caregivers here, but [name removed] are the best! [Name removed] came in on her day off to help transport my father to see my mother who was hospitalized due to her fall, she hadn't seen my dad for weeks due to her injuries. Thank got for such loving, caring, and just plain nice people like [name removed]. God bless you all for the great care my father receives here.

Colonial Gardens offers "peace of mind" for you families needing to find a safe supportive environment for their loved one. They specialize in helping people with activities/dementia. The staff are highly trained and passionate about proving the best care for your loved one. The property looks like a home (rather than a facility) and is decorated beautifully with antiques, offers a large outdoor area with mature oak trees.

Before [date removed], I was going to see my Dad every day. Anytime during my visits, the facility was clean and residents were engaged with activities. [Name removed] is a great Activity Director. [Name removed] is totally engaged with the residents, he plays Bingo, bowling, and arts + crafts. Since the virus (COVID-19) I am unable to go in. I visit, the place is clean, nurses were wearing a mask and obliging by the state guidelines. I hear [name removed] performing an activity in the background. The facility continues to be fun and residents look good, even during the circumstances.

Colonial Gardens has been a great place for my family member. All the staff and nurses have been great and very attentive. As a family member, you look at the area and see the environment, the facility is always clean, our family member room is clean and the residents are engaging in some activity. I am pleased with the Activity Director, [name removed]. [Name removed] is engaging and enthusiastic with the residents. [Name removed] encourages the residents to participate with activities: painting, bingo, dominoes, crafts and exercising. When their is a Holiday coming up, [name removed] is their decorating the facility (inside and out) to fit the occasion. The nurse staff have a smile and kind words to their residents. The nurse staff is their to reassure me that my family member is well taken care of and they attend to their needs. The Director, [name removed], is always their to answer questions and hear my concerns.

I couldn’t have made a better choice for my spouse than this community. He has been in this facility over a year and I couldn’t be happier with the care he’s getting. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. It’s nice to see the interaction staff has with the residents. Credit new management with improvements.

My family and I and so happy that we found dads final home. The director and whole staff are wonderful. The director [name removed] treats each person there like a aunt, uncle, or mom or dad. Our dad usually is happy and singing, of course he has bad days but don’t we all. This has been a bad time for all of us but the staff have gone above the call of service. Can not say THANK YOU enough. Thank you for taking such good care of our hero. If anyone is looking for the perfect home to place a loved one. THIS IS IT!

The moment I walked in I felt comfortable and at piece. This house feels like a true home. A very family friendly place regardless of age. I noticed that the house did not have that special odor that a lot of senior homes have. You know the one ,old and stinky. Our dad has been at Colonial Gardens for going on 2years. During this time before Covid my brother , two sisters and myself have been able to witness the staff and the director first hand. They all treat their job like it is family. Like all families people in the house have good days and bad days. If one person is having a bad day the staff all try to change their mood. I have even seen residents family members who are visiting their loved ones try to chat the person having a bad day up to try and help change the subject to something happier. Sometimes it works sometimes not. The point is everyone tries to help. The staff and the director go above and beyond the call of duty. When I leave I feel like my dad is getting the best care and love possible. There are activities and a true family life going on in this house which is a home. The director [name removed] and her staff from the caregivers, cook, even the Gardner have gone to great lengths to keep this house covid free. My family and I can’t say enough about the quality of this house.

Staff and facilities are excellent. Owners have made changes for the better and we are very pleased with the care and attention detail. Local Manager has a good heart for her work and pays attention to the community’s needs. She keeps us informed and we are very confident that she is in touch with our father’s care.

Every time I come to the facility I am treated very well by all staff. Residents are very well taken care of. [Names removed] are always so pleasant and provide some good customer service. [Name removed] goes above and beyond to meet resident and visitor needs. [Name removed] is always easily accessible and very pleasant. Great team
