Very profit-oriented, it shows. Staff too busy, cannot adequately monitor or care for residents. Most staff do their best, but must take care of specific chores per shift. I blame corporation, not staff. It's their MO. Employees are required to do laundry for all residents-no laundry service, so employees always rushed, laundry is damp or still soiled, or not even done. Laundry room has 1 commercial washer/dryer, but not large enough to keep up with laundry. Lack of communication. Staff does not communicate enough with each other/family. One director-type person has much experience with dementia patients but that does not filter down to ordinary employees-although in support groups, this person is supposed to be a "resource." NOT! No alarms for unsteady residents. Visitors have, at times, alerted staff to issues, comforted residents, and prevented falls because staff was unavailable. Dining tables and floors are ALWAYS STICKY! Visit DAILY if your loved one is a resident.

My husband suffers from Alzheimer''s. On [date removed], we moved there together. I had toured it after one of the biweekly meetings. The Hollis unit was clean and appeared to be an ideal place for my spouse and me. They talked the good talk about all they offered. During our 2 month stay here my husband was in an ER 8 times due to the uncleanliness of the dining room and the individual bathrooms. He almost died in December due to a UTI which the staff failed to tell me he had as I refused to use their doctors. My husband had never had a UTI nor sinus infection before and I was simply told the Alsheimer's was progressing. 2ER's and a 3 week stay at a Geriatric Hospital later, he went to ER#3 where they admitted him and the doctor at LGH said he was suffering from a major bladder infection and a very treatable UTI. a few days later we return to Bridges only to leave the next day to take my spouse back to an ER. There is so much more to this story of neglect but no more letters.

Unfortunately, I have not found this institution worth the money they charge. The very first thing I would like to address is the fact they claim to be Assisted Living, however there are many, many residents in which need nursing home care and are not staffed to do as such. They go by the rules and regulations of Assisted living which leaves a lot of extra care absent for those residents which need more . They also overwork their LNA staff to burnt-out point . If considering this place please do yourself a favor and talk with some or many family members of the residents there and asked their opinions. There are so many complaints and no results.

Beautiful Living Environment however, the best staff seems to leave. There is such a high amount of staff that leaves and a lot of the great staff I have met have left since I placed my family member in this home. Also there is a lack of aids I have seen 3 aids taking care of more than one house hold. They should have more staff especially when taking care of a large group of individuals who suffer form Alzheimer's and Dementia. Disappointed.

Light on staff at off-peak times. Staff need more training in dealing with those with dementia. Observed "activities" focus on TV-watching and listening to music via earphones. Residents oddly passive. "All-inclusive" does not mean there won't be extra charges; it just means all levels of dementia are accepted, including final stage. There may be significant extra charges if you need to hire a companion, etc. Their one-sided contract allows them, for example, to expel a resident at their discretion. Read that contract very carefully, and go by its wording, not by what you are told verbally. Attractive place; family members will like the look of it.

We were looking for our father. We contacted the Waterstone, expressed our interest (especially after we ran into an old soccer coach who lived there and recommended the community), took our father on a visit, and arranged for his medical evaluation at his apartment. It was then that we discovered that my father's medical condition would exclude him, but the nurse gave us hope with a "We'll see." And that was the last we heard from Waterstone. We get it was a no, but it would have been nice to hear this directly. We didn't expect to be ghosted by grown women. Corporate was also unresponsive when we asked for an explanation.

My mom was a resident for 4 years in their Westwood facility until we recently moved her out to a safer environment where she is now well cared for. The experience left us frustrated and frightened. Upper management promises to rectify inattentiveness and unsafe practices but failed miserably on all accounts. I had to constantly oversee and remedy situations myself. In addition, because they are grossly understaffed, I had to pay for private aides to care for mom. The facility looks nice, but it's all smoking mirrors. The majority of staff are aloof and not held accountable for their inactions. You get the feeling that corporate only cares about heads in beds and are willing to take in residents who clearly need to go directly to a nursing home. Repeated assurances by management to correct issues proved worthless and we were left with no options other than to move mom out.

my sister was a resident this past winter. I want to warn other desperate family members that what they tell you they will do is not true! No continuity of staff or care. Aids on cell phone all day. One nurse was great and one kitchen helper was kind. The rest including head nurse and director were uncaring once they got our money. be ware if your loved one needs anything more than 3 meals a day go else where! Sadly my sister past away and the director never even called to express sympathy. pathetically cold and indifferent from beginning to end!

They did not take care of my wife. The staff had warned me that my wife would not be taken care of. They are understaffed. The layout of the community is ok, The food was ok. They did not supervise the staff. They would promise my wife would get certain care and then it would not be provided. They ran out of toilet paper. They let her eat with her hands and did not wash her hands. My wife had a hearing device and they did not make sure it was properly attached so it would work.

I have a family member who was at this facility. We recently moved her out! They do not have enough staff to meet the needs of residents. Typical activity is line up the patients in front of the TV, which allows for fewer aides to be needed to watch over the residents! The communication from the director to staff is poor, and it shows in the quality of care. The director is basically a salesperson for Bridges, trying to keep the rooms "filled". Epoch is first and foremost a real estate company, and only secondarily is it a home for memory care patients There is no nursing care, unless you want to hire your own private aides or nurse, which will almost double the already high cost. Look around; there are better places for your loved ones.

Our experience with Bridges has not been good, so far, my loved one is really not enjoying it. The memory care unit is brand new, with very few residents, which also means very few staff. It just seems like a lot of what they sold us on while we were touring is not in place yet. For example, the food has been very disappointing. We were told there would be a menu to order off of, and good meal variety, but this has not been the case at all.

I have a family member who has been at this facility for over a year. The staff is kind but I definitely would not recommend this facility. They do not have enough staff to meet needs of residents. The communication from the director, to wellness director, to nursing, to caregivers is poor and very frustrating as a family member. There is a high turnover of staff and inconsistent care. Aside from giving meds, there is no nursing care, not even as much as an occasional weight check. As I said, the staff is kind and compassionate and they do try but major organizational changes are needed to improve here. We would move our family member except for the for the upset that would cause him. Could not recommend.
