I visited here on April 14th. Very secure with the guard gate. Looked nice and has an assisted living facility on the grounds.

Larry was in rehab here twice. Older but the staff is kind, attentive and almost adequate. Always a good sign when there is a great deal of turn-over in the staff.

It was fine. The care was fine. They’re very kind there and very attentive. You can’t get in without signing your name and they would always ask us if we needed anything. They get to know you on a first name basis. My mom’s medications – she was getting too much but it wasn't their doing. She was only there on a temporary basis and it was fine.

It's an assisted living and Cindy has been letting me know when things become available and we've had to turn her down the past couple of times because my dad doesn't think he's ready but when we get to that place well make the move. It's wonderful and really good, Cindy even went by and visited with my dad. I like the idea that he can go from the assisted living to the memory care when the time comes so we don't have to change places again.

We're good, you know, she's happy and it's close by, it's all good with our insurance company who has strict guidelines. It was hard, they really have a lot of strict guidelines but she's good now. They just take care of her and if shes happy were happy. They've got little activities and stuff and cut her hair, which isn't too big of a deal but its nice. There's always something with everything, we have a little blurp with getting supplies in for her, we wanted to pay for them ourselves and they didn't get registered when we brought them in so we got billed. It was taken care of but that was a little bump. As far as rehab, shee's walking, sometimes she has a wheelchair but they had good ots and pts there.

It was another very nice place. n Assisted Living areas, the hallways were more subdued than in Terrace. Nice "old people" prints. Rooms had fridge and microwave if wanted. Did not like shared rooms in memory care unit and saw a womwan trying to get out of her bed and noone was around. Staff was called...Definant difference between Assisted Living and Memory Care. Overall, liked it very much. gardening and balcony area.

Has 2/2 in main building on ground floor. Near main medical complex. Not sure of time in cab to get to Incarnate Word. Gardens and walking paths may not be as nice as Inn At Los Patios.

It is beautiful and very well respected. It has the added bonus that the units have patio's or balconeys which is nice. Good layouts and full kitchens so the meal plan may not be necessary.

Looks really nice.

For my folks, they may feel that this is too sophisticated for them, even though everything was top on the line and they deserve this.

Liked the area, but not the complete set up.

Toured Hampton at Spring Shadows and liked it for the most part.

The Cookie facility...liked it a lot but not the best location. Tour giver's mom works there and her grandmother is a resident in the facility. Tour giver was friendly to all residents and spoke to them by name as she passed them.

I would advise others to make sure your family members needs are in independent living and not assisted living. Patriot Heights is a retirement community. we really liked our loved ones room and also liked that their apartment was cleaned 5 days a week.

Was a little slow go with getting cleaning done but they have added another staff person so getting done more often. Otherwise, feeling pretty at home now

I toured here at Brookdale, and I thought the community was very nice. I also appreciated that when we toured, they did not have a room available for my loved one, so they referred us to another Brookdale faculty close by.

While we were touring this facility, we noticed that it is a very new facility and the décor is very modern. While on the tour, they had us try the food and it was really good. What really turned me off about the facility is that a lot of the time while we were there, you didn’t see anyone doing anything. No one was around and there weren’t a lot of activities. The staff was friendly but the community felt institutionalized. I would recommend this facility.

We had to place my mother-in-law in here for about a week for respite care and overall she had an OK stay just a few things we didn't like which was the person at the front desk kept telling people my mother-in-law wasn't there when she had visitors and even a flower delivery and that wasn't professional at all. And then the activity director was out on maternity and no one stepped up to take her place for the residents. But the staff was great with her very caring and attentive. The food was great and everything stayed clean.I also loved that snacks were available at anytime. I would still recommend this place.

When my sister stayed there her therapy was amazing. The therapist was gentle but knowledge and did such a great job. The overall staffing was very nice and kind the kitchen staff was able to accommodate my sister diet by being vegetarian they didn't make a big deal having to cook her something special they were happy to do it for her but the food was not as good as it could have been. The community was clean and maintained.
