We really wish that they had healthier meals. Also, I have heard residence complaining that the food isn't always hot. Definitely wish they would listen more to food suggestions to be healthier or at least I have healthier options. The car service should have more availability. It's frustrating that they have already increased the rent and I've heard from other people that their rent was all of a sudden raised significantly.

Staff is extremely professional. They really do care for AND about each resident living there. They also care about the families of their residents, which is not the case in other facilities I have seen. They have assisted me as well as my father in some his daily necessities when I was not available. They have done a marvelous job in making my father feel truly at home. The activities of the facility are nonstop daily. The facility puts on so many different events to keep their residents active every day! It’s fun to walk into a active community singing and truly enjoying each other’s company. That is direct correlation to the staff and residents relationships!

We picked this community because it was clean ,had good reviews and services. Close to us (5 min away) But a brand new Memory Care unit. Don't think they are fully ready and staffed. They hav no nursing staff on 2nd or 3rd shift on site. It's just young caregivers.

People do what you inspect, not what you Expect. VISIT your loved Mom at different times weekly without fail!!!Small and the People have a caring attitude.Great Nurses.

We picked this place because of the location location and the staff. Nice place but pricey. I would recommend to others.

[name removed] and [name removed] are VERY RIGID when it comes to pill time and dining. They feel they should be taking their pills at the same time as when they were at home and not at the "random" times distributed now. The pill passers can be short sometimes (3 rating). The care givers have been great! Very helpful and accommodating. (5 rating). [name removed] and [name removed] say they have too much chicken. Once again, meals are different than what they've been eating for YEARS, so I think once they get use to life at HP, they'll be fine. It's been a pleasure working with the staff at Hartland Place, from the initial contact through the moving in process. The caregivers are helpful and accommodating, trying to ease the changes our family members need to make transitioning from their home to this new community. I would recommend this facility.

My loved one is currently a resident at Bellevue Senior Living. The facility itself and most of the staff are excellent. There have been some let downs with the housekeeping and the laundry. However, the issues have been addressed and are better now. The management has been great, they're very responsive. The meal plan is great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My loved one is a resident at Encore at Bolingbrook. Our experience so far at this facility has been fine. They seem to be doing a good job with my loved one, he is not the easiest to care for. We moved my loved one from his previous facility to this one.

My decision for not picking Encore was that they still had not done any outings, Whereas [facility name removed] takes them somewhere several times a week. That was a big deal for me for my mother... In addition it had low ceilings and was very dark inside. And I didn't see people out of their rooms. However the lady who was showing me around was lovely.

My Mom actually ended up only staying at the Courtyard for about 2 months before moving to another Assisted Living Facility. I felt sad at the time because we were certainly hoping it would be longer, but there were a couple of circumstances that happened that didn't work for her to stay longer. The staff as far as the director, and residency coordinator, were super nice and helpful, and I felt really went out of their way to help her move in and accommodate her needs, etc. Her room was spacious and accommodations beautiful, and most of the staff seemed very caring. I had asked in her care plan to have staff check on her regularly and they accommodated that without an issue. The main issues came with the meals, the main cook was out for a medical leave and apparently the back up cooks were not good at all. But in addition to that my Mom said the portions were super small, the meals were served very dry, and other residents were literally afraid to complain. My Mom also relied an incidence where a resident was moved to another dining table without asking her, and when she asked why she was yelled at and made to cry. I found that very upsetting. My Mom also had some issues (mainly with night staff) where they were accusing her of breaking rules she said didn't happen and overall it was an uncomfortable experience for my Mom. Ultimately we made the choice to Find another place for her, but my Mom has expressed her concern for the residents who are still there mainly about the terrible food and lack of food.

Our family had an in person tour with Encore at South Barrington and we thought it was a very nice tour experience. The lady that took us around the community was very friendly and helpful. There were just a few reason we did not pick this community for our loved one - the room they had available was a two person room so our loved one would of had to share it with another resident and we did not think that would work. There are bathrooms in the rooms but not showers, so the showers would be in a communal area. Also at the time we went it was mainly women, we saw very few men there. However we have heard very good things about their meals .

The staff members here are really nice and just great to work with. After doing some research and looking at everything our loved one receives here, the value is comparable and we would recommend Bellevue Senior Living to other families. According to our loved one there seems to be a little bit of an issue with the second seating and sometimes the meals not coming out as hot - not a major concern at the moment. There are plenty different activities going on for the residents, it seems like they do a good job keeping them busy.

My loved one is overwhelmed, by how big the place is but she is gradually getting used to it. I visited her today and she commented on how friendly the staff is there. If there is one issue that she has is that the meals, (especially the vegetables) are sometimes cold . But otherwise she likes her room on the first floor and likes looking outside at the weather and the turkeys that come around once in awhile. Like I mentioned, all of my siblings liked the this place because of the brightness of the place and all of the activities my Mom is interested in.

Overall, this facility is a good place. We're happy with mom being here. I will say, based on our experience, the care staff at Rehab facilities seem to be more skilled than the care staff in Assisted Living facilities. But the staff is good here. They're always pleasant and nice. Communication with the family is ok. I've reached out to the Director with questions and there were a few times that I didn't get a response back from him. Mom enjoys the food, it's good quality and they offer a good variety. Housekeeping is weekly and trash removal is daily and they do a good job. The activities are good, I think they do their best. Sometimes they have activities listed on the schedule that don't end up happening, I was told that in those cases it is due to lack of participation. But they do have quite a few activities. Mom really enjoys Bingo. She's definitely been more active since being here and she likes it here. She had to move to a Rehab facility for awhile. As soon as she finished Rehab, she was ready and wanted to come back to this facility. I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

[Name removed] is great! I would say it's a great place for loved ones now that they are fully staffed. Communication is good by all staff. There are three meals a day and plenty of snacks! I'm not sure of all the activities but she was coloring a Christmas print out the other day. Exercises at 10 am. Planting in the summer.

With mom's mobility issues, some of the facilities we looked at had rooms, at the time we were looking, that were too far distant. This facility came closest to meeting her needs. We particularly liked the layout of this place. They have issues, like many businesses - in maintaining staffing levels, as well as quality of the staff. The major complaint here seems to be food quality.

I think they are doing a decent job with the memory care group of people.

I think that the places don't seem as great as what they can be while your loved one is adjusting during the initial process . But once settled in and more acclimated to the new living situation things tend to start getting better over time.

I like the people and cleanliness of the community. I don't like the smoking area, which is outside by moms window. The director was helpful and made commitments, and kept them. Overall, it's a very nice community.
