Mom moved into memory care from home I was surprised at how all she adjusted to being there. She liked being around other people and the facility is small enough where it’s not too disorienting. That was the reason I picked it in particular as opposed to the larger fancier places where I knew she would be lost when she left her room. The staff seems very nice. Most important I always find her clean. Her room is kept clean and neat. The facility is well maintained even though it is older.

Since my mom got there the marketing director quit, a new financial person & nurse had just started and I just heard they fired the executive director! Better communication with family members is needed. We had some growing pains when my mom got there and if I did not have private caregivers with her I would not have known what was happening. All in all it is a decent place. You just need to make sure the staff knows what your loved one needs.

We are confident Dad is in a caring place; there can be improvements. The cleanliness is reflective of dads messes though. Everyone is friendly. One person wasn't always, but she is no longer there. All the attendants are helpful and kind. The medication management is confusing. We briefly used the service & are thankful dad is able to manage his medications. I've enjoyed some meals there and they serve the residents well and give options on the menu. They always have activities going on & keep the residents involved in the community. I am thankful Dad is in a good place with people who care!! Also thankful for patriot angels who helped us secure funds through veterans services. God is good! Thank you to A Place for Mom for helping us find a great place for dad lol!

The worst has been meals on the weekends, specifically breakfast--if they get one. Cooks consistently don't show up, calling for a late breakfast that might not consist of much. It's been a great place for her! She has met many people, made friends, and is happy with what is provided for her. Based on this stage of her life, it has been the ideal place for her to live.

Overall, very good but there is a notable difference sometimes between the night staff and daytime staff in terms of care. Less oversight (night) = less care. They are undergoing a change in ownership. The food is a sparse selection, they are often out of basic things like orange juice or a breakfast meat for days at a time, and it just isn't very good. Steady decline over last 3-4 months.

What we like the most about this community is that we feel good leaving our loved one there because she is happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far. I've had friends and relatives in understaffed homes and all you see is neglect. The Collier is one of the best.

[name removed] is great! She sold us on The Collier. The staff is great too! It’s a very nice place. The price is a little high considering that they don’t provide anything at all. No furniture, no supplies, not a thing. It’s close to my house and they do take Medicaid if you can apply and get it.

The facility and staff were very nice. I would have liked more communication from them the first few weeks. They had a system set up for this, but it didn't work. I would have like to see more attention to my brother during initial transition. If I didn't have other health care workers going to visit him I would not have known how poorly he was doing. Unfortunately he passed away after living there for 7 weeks. He missed his home. However he was unable to adequately care for himself and needed to be in a facility.

The experience was good. They took care of my mom as much as she would let them. They checked on her pretty regular and they were nice to her.We checked several places. Mom found faults at all but this facility. They had a room she liked available we had her moved in the next day.

My overall experience was good, there were some concerns in the beginning as to my Moms care, but things seem to be better now. We felt Wickshire would be a good fit, its just the right size and convenient for our family. The staff are very attentive to the residents and that was important to us.

Staff is very nice. Most services are good. There have been 3 chefs since I have been here. Meals are mediocre but some are good. overall not a bad place as cleanliness is excellent. This is a very high priority to me. I would recommend this place if price is a priority. The one thing that needs a lot of improvement. I am relatively independent but one time I rang for assistance the response time was over an hour.

The Pointe as a whole has been a blessing. We thank the staff who share their compassion for residents and our mom, including daily care, planning activities and family gatherings! Our concerns are the disrespectful attitudes of the staff (some) towards moms questions or needs, adding to her anxiety and feeling of being unvalued. The inconsistencies of scheduled care such as med dispercement, showers, dining, laundry and room cleaning are ongoing. We are hopeful these areas will improve.

When it comes to the food to me is not quality meals and sort of not heated well and for instance grill cheese sandwich with 1 slice of cheese on a non toasted bread. Wickshire Port St. Lucie is very nice. Clean in memory care. Aids are especially caring. I did have some problems that took 1 year to get taken care of, but that was due to a help problem in the maintenance department which has been taken care of. All around clean and pleasant. Would definitely recommend and happy to have a safe place for my step dad to live.
