The care is very good. The community is good at working with Hospice. I would highly recommend the community.

It is a very good value for your money. You should look into it. They have nice people. The residents are friendly and happy. The food seems more to be intuitional than we would like for our loved one. There are some meals that are better than others.

The staff is very friendly and they really treat everyone with respect. They know all of us by name. They truly care about their residence and it shows. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience. I trust this community with my loved one

The staff members have all been very friendly, and the community itself is clean, but we are having some issues with our loved ones room being kept clean. The staff does a great job keeping an eye on our loved ones medicine, she seems to be doing really well. Our loved one only eats the dinner meals and so far has not complained about them. She does not participate in the activities so we aren't sure if they are still limited or not. We do think the value for cost is pretty good.

I thought the tour was good. It was okay overall. As tours go, it was informative. But of course they highlight all the great things. As a virtual tour goes, I think it was done well. But it's still a virtual tour and not the same as seeing it for yourself. You can’t tell if the place smells, for instance. The people I interacted with on the tour were nice, answered all of my questions, and were informative.

We chose The Bridge at Charleston because of the convenient location as well as at the time they were the allowing facility that was allowing in person tours. After she moved in, I was also still able to go and see her. She is in a 1 bedroom apartment and it is perfect size for her. They haven't been very communicative with covid, but now they have hired a new activities director and I am getting a lot of information from her. The one issue we did have that is an ongoing problem is managing prescriptions. We chose not to use their pharmacy and we do not use their doctor, so it has been difficult. Overall I would definitely recommend to others looking in the area.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. My experience was awesome and it is a really nice community. It does cost a lot more than other places but the marketing director was friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable. It is a larger facility and seems more like a hotel. I know this was not going to be a good fit for my mom because it would be too confusing for her. I would recommend this facility to other families who can afford it and to residents who are more cognitive and ambulatory.

My mom lived here for 10 years and I would say it fit perfectly for the time frame she was there. She liked it because she could pretty much take care of herself and the assistance was there if she needed it. The security was designed more so for the more independent people, though. The food they served was institution food, not home cooked, but it was reasonably good. They offered exercise classes, bingo, informational travels, and the activities director had current event questions every morning on top of reading and going over articles in the newspaper. They even had afternoon tea and shopping trips. My mom and dad had a very good experience here and they both did very well.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff was nice, but they did not have the care that we were needing at the time. The community was the clean and nice environment. They offer a lot of activities and a nice menu. We would recommend that families tour this community.

This community offers independent and assisted living. The independent living residents do not seem to mix well with the assisted living residents and this was the main reason we did not choose this community. This is a very nice community and the staff we met were nice. This community does not accept medicaid if you run out of funds.

This is a nice independent living community. The staff were friendly. The food was good. They offer an exercise room, a library and they post the daily activities. The community is well taken care of.

The Garden Plaza was very expensive. The community was very big, we were looking for something much smaller and more homelike. The place was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly.

We toured here when we were looking. I was impressed with them. It wasn't the right fit at the time, but now that I have more experience, I may revisit them to see if they would be a match for current needs.

We looked here when we were looking for options. It was too much like the independent place we had just come from and we were looking for something different. It was similar an independent place.

Westside Garden Plaza seemed like a pretty nice and clean facility. It is a pretty good place. The dining room seems to be pretty nice. Overall the facility seems to be, as I said, a very good facility.

No smells of tobacco or from pets, which are allowed. No noise from pets, either. Maintenance needed in the model apt. Is this an example of overall maintenance? Remodeling also going on of main dining room. Meal plans extra, but flexible. Units of several sizes and layouts, looked clean and bright, lots of windows and light. Multiple atria and wide hallways -- building suits its purpose well. People doing lots of activities and looking content. Outdoor courtyards safe and protected from wind and noise, landscaping on-going (it's spring when I'm writing this). Staff friendly and responsive. Didn't sample meals. Traffic noise loud in front balconies, open windows. Hampden is a busy street, right out front. Lots of transportation options and things to do. Nice library!

Our loved one has only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a positive one overall! The staff are friendly and professional, and the facility itself is well kept and clean.

It's very clean and the staff is friendly. They are doing a pretty good job. They were very good about working with us on price. We are very happy with value. There are little things that probably still need to be worked out. She seems satisfied with the food, but I would like to see a few more fresh veggies and things.
