I liked the staff( not admin) and no , I would not recommend. I would tell a friend, not to put their loved one there. They need to improve on, staffing, and communication between administrators and staff. I could never find the nurse on duty or get ahold of them.

Whenever my mother was ill the staff didn't or couldn't handle her illness. Tests were continually delayed and treatments (meds) were delayed. Also, I found it almost impossible to speak with someone about Mom when I needed them. My calls were not returned. Her apartment was cleaned about every three weeks instead of the weekly cleaning promised. The common areas were very nice. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend them. They were fine when they were the [removed], but the new group just couldn't get their act together. Unfortunately, I attributed some of mom's declined to their lack of attention to her when she got ill.

Very nice facility itself. If you choose it don't expect good service and don't let them manage your medication. The facility was very nice. But he had lots of problems with staff management and his medication service prompting him to nit tho it it was worth the expense so he moved. He did enjoy the attention to veterans and he did say the residents there were great. But several had the same experience as him.

These numbers are based on my experience with Terrace of Chestnut Hill. My mother's feet were so swollen for over a month where she couldn't put a shoe on also, she was never seen by a podiatrist in the almost 4 months that she was there her toenails are like claws. Also I saw a patient fall and the staff just picked the patient up off of the floor and put her back in the chair. Never wrote an incident report.

He fell out of bed when he was here. I took him here and told them I was bringing my loved one with no bed sores and appreciate if they would turn him while I was gone. the aid put him too much to one side and he fell on the floor. He was paraplegic and he was left on the floor. They said because he was in a home like bed he couldn't have bed rails up which meant restraints. I did not think that was very fair. They asked what hospital to take him to if needed and they took him somewhere else I did not have on file. I gave them plenty of medicine while I was gone and they went and bought a bunch of other medicines and then charged me for it. I would not recommend them to others looking.

I thought we found a perfect place for my Mom and Dad, who both needed memory care. We moved them from SC, and on [date removed], after already furnishing two rooms and gathering all of the paperwork, I sat with the director of marketing, to sign the contract. She went through the contract mentioning EVERY cost that was above and beyond the monthly fee, including small fees that were valid and acceptable. When we got to the signature page I signed my name and felt a huge relief. I started to pay the amount for the first month, and AS I PUT MY PEN TO PAPER, She said “Don’t forget to add the non-refundable entrance fee!” It was an ADDITIONAL $[amount removed]. I said right away that she had never mentioned the fee. She was very dismissive, and I quote “Oh, it’s in the contract like....three times”. I spoke with the Executive Director. She was apologetic and promised that she would speak with the corporate office.. Never been able to reach her again. See my other reviews for more.

My loved one lived here and it really started to go downhill. Long waits in the dining room, communication with the family was terrible, housekeeping was only every other week and her room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I even had trouble getting a response from the executive director when I would reach out to her. We ended up moving our loved one to another facility.

This review is for the memory care side of the facility. I think they need to provide more transparency about the price. The policy that any fall requires the residents to be taken to the ER by ambulance is a terrible policy. My loved one fell 3 times in the first week because they weren't watching closely. Each time the ambulance ride costed $295 each way. That was $1500 I had to spend in the first week. If that kept happening, it would have become even more experience. When I found out about the policy, I immediately started looking at other places. The facility is beautiful, but the upstairs felt like a warehouse. I did not see much interaction between staff and residents. They had a small TV in the TV room and it was old remotes that I could not even figure out myself. All in all it was not a good experience. If your loved on is a vet, please check out the VA home. It is a totally different experience.

This place has gone down hill since 2021. No care for residence. Never enough staff. Residence forgotten, unclean, miss medications, food is cold, dining staff a rude. Rooms aren't cleaned properly. Missing personal items. No longer about the residence but more about getting rooms filled.

When my mother moved in to Summer Village in [date removed], for the first few months, I was pretty happy. I do believe them when they say that Covid has made an impact on things. It has made it hard to keep employees. But, I also just think that the employees don't get adequate supervision. When they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing, either nobody really knows that's happening, or, they don't care. There's just a lot of things - they're supposed to check in on my mother at least once every two hours. There are times I'm there for hours and nobody walks into her room. I've been told it's because they saw me go in and they don't want to interrupt. But I don't like that answer. To me, they're still not doing their job. There are a few employees who seem to just sit around in the common areas all the time on their phones. And I don't really see them doing anything. If you have some extra time, why wouldn't you spend some time with the residents? Color a picture with them, or take them outside to sit in the sun. Numerous times I've come to visit and found there was no toilet paper in the room. I'll tell them, and they say they'll bring some right away. But then I'll have been there for an hour and half, and nobody comes by. So I have to ask again, which is totally unacceptable. So far since my mom has been there, they've had two changes in Executive Director. The gentleman they have now, even though his office is in the same building, I have never laid eyes on. I wanted some special permissions for visitors beyond the usual two that are allowed for her birthday (four total) to have a 20-minute birthday party with my mother. I called the Executive Director 3-4 times, with no response. I emailed him 2-3 times, with no response. That was very upsetting to me. They don't do any activities. They basically just blame everything on Covid. I feel like if you make a big change in the living situation of a person with dementia, they take a step or two down the dementia ladder every time. And she is basically happy where she is. She likes it there and has made friends, as much as someone with dementia can. And I don't want to take her out of that environment.

My number one concern for my loved one or anyone else's is that they're taken care of and not just left in their room. My loved one received very poor care here. I do know they have gone through a total leadership change that started in the time she was there. So I would recommend asking how well the new leadership is actually overseeing the caregiver staff. The caregivers were absolutely horrible for the most part, although there were a few diamonds. I loved the director of memory care, but she quit while we were there because of all the chaos that was going on. Until that caregiver team is worked out, it's just not a safe place for people who have a lot of physical needs to thrive. My loved one also had a bad experience with the food. When she would special order things, they wouldn't come, so she would go without eating. If The Sheridan did everything they said they were going to do, I would have had no issue with it. But we just had problems form the get-go, and they never got things in place. It was such a disappointment, especially after how highly they were recommended. The grounds and the facility are a beautiful setting, and they sell themselves very well. But it was all just smoke and mirrors.

This place went from and 'A' rating (during Atria tenure) to a 'C-' rating. Problems include lack of staff retention, food quality and options, amount of social activities, social activities boil down to watching movies, lack of exercise, change in accounting procedures, friendliness of management, lack of trips, minimal staffing so as to create extended waits for help, lack of communication with families.

Woodbridge has great potential but unfortunately, they take themselves for an independent living facility rather than assisted living. Watch for routine "upping" of care levels with hefty cost increases and no additional care. A few mature aides and medical technicians and other staff display the knowledge and temperament to interact with the elderly and are wonderful. Sadly, there are also immature individuals on staff who lack adequate training or do not have the temperament for a caregiving role. Imagine overhearing an aide say to your aged parent who has requested assistance to stand "NO...I'M NOT DOING THAT. YOU'LL HAVE TO TRY HARDER!!" I cannot recommend Woodbridge at this time. There is a critical need for staff training and in-services, including communicating with the elderly, which may bring the "tender and loving" part of TLC back to this facility.

I would tell others that the administrative staff I worked with were excellent and very responsive. But the medical side of it, I did not think he got the quality of care that he needed while he was here. I do know they have new staff but it is taking time for them to rebuild what was lacking. I was not pleased with our experience but I would tell others to check it out and decide based on your loved ones needs are.

My husband was in the dementia unit at Bridges, severely disabled from a stroke (could not stand up). Bridges sent him to the ER to petition a 302 on him: involuntary commitment to a psychiatric hospital. It was denied. A person with dementia is not considered to have mental illness, and is not eligible for a 302 which requires mental illness. I learned about this in a class I am taking at Family Service Association. Beware before you send your loved one to Bridges dementia unit. From a lawyer's website: "For a successful petition, a threatening behavior which has occurred must be related to a psychiatric condition. The conditions which cause the behavioral symptoms of dementia are considered physical illnesses, so dementia with dangerous behavior falls between the cracks and does not qualify as a mental health crisis."

Bridges has had a tremendous amount of staff turnover in the last year. And it has resulted in a decline in their ability to care for patients. This is all in the backdrop of Covid, so you have to take it in that vein. But there was no staff training on how to care for and properly use necessary medical devices. There seems to be very little communication between direct care providers and more skilled nursing staff. I will say that the activities department did a particularly good job during Covid of trying to create opportunities when social distancing was necessary. And as soon as everyone was fully vaccinated, they started offering a lot more activities. So that's been good.

My mother lived at Woodbridge Place for 4 years, mostly in the memory care wing. Shortly after she arrived there in 2016, it was bought by another company and it went downhill after that. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Woodbridge place for memory care, Even though there were some well-intentioned management and employees, the overall management , care and communication was bad. We were constantly having to advocate for mom and often not getting the results we hoped for. One of the biggest problems was that there was never a designated director for the memory care wing, although they kept saying they would get one. No-one seemed to communicate with each other, which is so important when dealing with residents who cannot communicate well for themselves! Overall, very frustrating experience but we still felt it would be more traumatic to move mom so we stuck with it. She passed away on [date removed] on hospice care there. Again, I would not recommend Woodbridge Place for memory care.
