At first I was very happy with them. As time went on, I was unhappy. They will not communicate. It doesn't matter how many times you call them and leave a message, they will not call you back. And that's not just one person. That's everybody there. For the most part they did a good job with his care, although at times I felt he wasn't getting what he needed. But it wasn't too bad. I didn't think they had enough activities. I was thoroughly shocked by the cost, but it was the same price at other places all over town.

We did not tour this facility as it did not meet our stay requirements for respite care. It is the highest priced facility that met our location needs. Otherwise the information provided was very satisfactory. Therefore, we would consider this facility as second line.

The community is very clean and neat and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and They do a good job taking care of our loved ones. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Our loved one was only there for about two weeks, but they were always willing and available to answer any and all of our questions. We would recommend this community to others during non covid times.

It seems like it was a good place. It just wasn't a good fit for my loved one. She was a fall risk, and one of the nurses called me and said it wasn't safe for my loved one to stay there anymore. The outside of the building was really nice, but I wasn't able to go inside to visit. My loved one told me she loved the people there, and that the food was okay. She just loved everybody there. When we moved her things out, all the people we saw said "Oh, I remember her! We loved her. She got along great here!" It was a perfectly good place for her until it wasn't anymore. The nurses really did care. When she fell, they took her to the emergency room. The hospital didn't immediately admit her and didn't want to put her in a rehab center. So they sent her back to Gilman Park. That's when the nurse said she wasn't safe there, that she needed more care and needed more of an eye on her. I appreciated that the nurses were honest with me about her care. Every time I emailed the nurse, she emailed me right back with updates. One thing I wish I had known before I signed the contract with them was that they require you to use their drug supply company, Consonus. Before moving in, we were getting her meds for free or very low cost per month, and all of a sudden we had a considerable monthly cost for all her prescriptions, as well as any non-prescription things she might or might not need, like laxatives and cold medicines. If there was an alternative, I didn't see it when we signed up.

The staff and nurses were really good. I did not care for the administration. The patient-to-staff ratio needed to be better. I think they were at a 15-1 ratio. I would not recommend this community to others right now.

I would recommend checking out this community. Gilman Park was very clean. They did have a great dining area. They had an outdoor area for the residents. The handy man was able to assist my loved one, when requested.

We are currently only able to play cards with other residents. The dining room is still closed and we are eating in our rooms. The food is terrible, you don't get half the items you order. You also get things you didn't order. Other than that I would say it is good community. The staff are really good and keeping us safe. They allow pets; however, there is an additional fee of $1,000.

I enjoy living here very much. I didn't like the necessary restrictions to our rooms but I know it's for the best. I look forward to the times we used to have before the pandemic. I appreciate the safety.

My mom chose this community because she liked the building and the price was affordable for her. The food is good and they offer a variety of foods. It used to be served in restaurant style dining. They used offer a lot activities. I would recommend this community to offer families.

This is a very good community for senior who are very cognizant and mobile. If your loved one does need assistance and reminders to attend activities, it is not offered on a consistent basis. The caregivers are very friendly and helpful. We chose this community because she was there once before and we were familiar with the community. This community is a good fit for certain people.

Nice place. People are friendly. Very close to hospital. Rooms are nice. Price is right there. good location.

I have been a resident here for 7 months and have been for the most part treated with dignity and respect..I am really happy with the location of my studio apartment. It has lots of natural light and is convenient for me and my service dog, Riley and taking walks and enjoying the beautiful landscaping and the ducks in the near by creekside and the area set aside for the residents own flower and vegetable gardens The gardens are beautiful. .

[Name removed] was so sweet. Mom liked the facility. I liked how friendly the people were--not only the staff, but we were greeted with kindness by many residents as well. I loved seeing positive interaction between the guests and staff. We are still "chewing" on the information. We are currently waiting on some information from Mom's doctor before we make a final decision.

Good care caring friendly people working there to help with residents with living. One thing that could use improvement is the food quality sometimes it's good sometimes not.

Gilman Park is a true gem nestled in a beautiful, historic community within Oregon City. My grandmother was a resident several years ago and had an overall great experience. When my sister and I were looking for a new facility for our mom, we decided to investigate Gilman to see if it was still up to the standards our grandmother had experienced. After touring the facility with their marketing director, [name removed], we were thoroughly impressed! The facility is clean, bright and welcoming. After meeting several staff, it was apparent they are very qualified for their roles and genuinely enjoy what they do. We wanted to move quickly since our mom was currently in a facility that was rapidly declining in care and safety. As a result, [name removed] moved the process very quickly for us and their administrator, [name removed], took the care and concern to ensure our mom's move in process went flawlessly. Currently, she has lived there a month and absolutely loves it! She raves about the activities, food and both the staff and residents. I have spoken to several residents as well and they all say the same thing which is even more reassuring. I can't tell you how much a relief it is to find a facility managed as well as Gilman! At this point, I am rating four stars since we are so new to the facility although will return with an update when my mom is more established, and a few months have passed.
