My Mom, when she first moved into Aspen she was so despondent and would rarely leave her room. She has improved so much that she rarely stays in her room and is in great spirits

I like how the staff care about the residents and take time to interact with them. I like that each bldg houses residents who are on the same level of care. Activities are geared toward residents' ability so...

Did not tour after discovering that they do not have a fall protocol. I was told in a phone interview that my mother-in-law would have to leave her door open so they could look in on her every so often. We are not comfortable with that idea. Otherwise I was hopeful this could have been the place for her. It's hard to rate without touring.

Clean, a little older, not as many meal choices as other locations, and a lot of Dementia patients.

The staff communication with families is not good. Staff changes so often I don't even know a lot of them. Every time I go in there's a new person. I know it's difficult right now with Covid/staffing issues. But it seems like the staff is not being properly trained , especially in memory care. And I don't know that their staff-to-resident ratio is being followed either.

It is not the best but it is not the worst. My mom was only there for a few months. The food was acceptable. The room sizes were ok but the bathroom was way too small for someone with a wheelchair or walker. They had outdoor space to sit and walk

Ashley court was okay, they were better than the place we were before. They were good about communication, and calling if there was anything we needed to know about. They didn't have anything for activities, and our loved one was very bored. The activities they did have were hit or miss, it was not a very stimulating environment.

Things started out good, but declined as time progressed. Facility was above average compared to others we looked at. Staff- hit and miss, management lead us down some poor choices, but I realize the choices were ultimately ours, just received some bad advice on treatment paths

Everyone very nice but disappointed with service to my wife. Not what I expected for the money I’m paying. Working on improving the service and they are cooperative but I shouldn’t have to go thru this as they are the experts. If I could get her stabilized with meds to control the sun dowing I’m bringing her home as I can take better care of her.

We had some issues with the nurse in building 3 We had no issues when in building 2 but felt there wasn't as much attention to care in building 3 The food was less than appetizing It was nice that they tried to include everyone in the activities...[name removed] is amazing Building 2 was more worth the money than building 3. We felt my Dad should have been in building 4 & maybe he would have had better care

They do not have good fill-in workers for their staff. We were not aware that we could order different types of food, but the activities were great. I would never put another family member at that facility. My suggestion to anyone checking out Ashley Court to have a meeting with all of the principals at once not just the marketing person. The reason for the low overall experience score, is because the staff dropped my mom and she had a fracture in her leg, which caused her to go from level three to level four, which took her out of Hospice. [name removed] is great however they have staff that they use for contract purposes to fill in and that was absolutely horrible. Communication between the principals and the staff needs to be more open. The staff was working with Hospice . They were not giving her showers because they said that was hospice responsibility. Hospice only comes in at certain times and they are to fill in the gaps miscommunication. The Weeeknd staff is filled with contract workers and they are very, very unfriendly one day.

My brother-in-law was there for a while. Place looked fine, almost rustic-resort like. Staff were pleasant. I heard from my family that the food was not good. The best cook/chef had left. The main thing that was a game changer though, was that residents could NOT control the temperature of their own room.

Prvt rm=$4850, semi=$4350 all services included. Incontinence supplies NOT supplied. Specializes in memory/high cognitive care (John's case). This must be an affiliate of Courtyard because everything was the same as the Farmington location. Although I do not like the building, the location is ideal. It still presents as slightly depressing. Sharon's email etiquette is lacking in business professionalism.

Always short staffed. Provides the state maximum caregivers allowed by law, but as a private pay facility I expected more and better care, which should include more caregivers. The caregivers are taken away from patient care to do laundry. If 2 caregivers are allowed by law, they should be caring for the residents, not doing houeshold chores. Gone in and walked around for 15 minutes and did not see a caregiver. Told at admission my mom would have a caregiver appointed to her. Never happened. Had to brush her teeth myself. Private pay should allow for more caregivers per patient, but they have as limited as possible so they keep more money for themselves.

I would rate everything except activities a BIG 0. What they could improve on would be communication and quality of care.

I gotta say I’m real concerned 'bout the night care she's gettin’ at Aspen Assisted Living. Her well-bein’ just ain’t what it oughta be. She’s been more tired, restless, and complainin' 'bout the loud laughin', folks bein' rude, and talkin’ on their phones. Seems like she’s waitin’ too long for help, and there just ain’t enough staff checkin' on her. It’s been keepin' me up at night worryin' if she’s bein' looked after right, and that weighs heavy on my mind. Her health is sufferin’, and she’s lookin' worn out. I hope y’all take this to heart and make some changes for her sake.

Their Staff had no professional medication Training. I ask the one girl passing medication. She confirmed it. So many licensing violations. All staff on evenings and midnights stayed in Living room on cell phones or watching TV. They never did an regular bed checks, my client laid half off the bed in Urine, was not bathe until the Hospice nurse and myself did it the day before she passed. The Director had her untrained sin passing medication etc. None of the staff went through trainings.

On boarding process is non-existent. No documented process &/or procedures. Jewelry was stolen. Medications not regulated. Doctors review was not scheduled frequently & had to follow up for evaluations. Getting return calls was difficult. And so on & so on.....

In the short time that my loved has been there, I have found that the staff turnover is ridiculous, and we could never find them. They also just replaced the director. My loved one has also lost several items during his stay. It also looks like the facility needs major remodeling.

What a joke of a place for "adults" to live! During activities nursery rhymes are being played. These people are ADULTS people, they don't need to be listening to nursery rhymes. How about some 40's, 50's and 60's music instead! The activities are so unorganized and childish for the people living there to be playing. Let's play basketball using a Little Tikes basketball hoop or how about ring toss using shower curtains. Everything is so unorganized as far as activities goes and very cheap! There are no games being played to enhance memory skills. The staff is more interested in talking about their lives instead of leaving it at home while at work. The air conditioning NEVER works in the building. Most of the time there are fans in the hallways to try and cool off the building, but then the people living there are susceptible to tripping on the cords. If you are thinking about having a loved one live at this facility, I would think twice about it! The things PROMISED at admittance are NOT followed through once the person is living there. Very poorly run facility!
