American House East II really does have that home like setting to it, it is very warm, welcoming and overall has a great family like atmosphere to it. It seems like all the staff members and residents alike are more then willing to get to know everyone and meet new friends. The director is amazing and even took over the cooking for an entire day when the chef was out sick. Everyone from top to bottom - secretary, activities director, etc is just so amazing. There meals are great and the activities are really good. There is a wide variety of things to do, but also the residents have enough privacy to just relax on their own. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families and in fact we would even move in ourselves!

Our mother had a significant decline in abilities after moving in and was unable to participate in the social activities. The overall experience and interaction with staff was stellar. They all are fantastic people. Every other category was better than expected and totally satisfying, no complaints.

They really do actually care. My mother has been in several other places, and especially compared to those experiences, I find the people here to be very kind to her. They know me as well. She'd rather come home with me, but she likes it overall and is getting used to it. All the staff is wonderful - we love them. If I bring anything to their attention, they listen and get right on it, which is so important to me.
