Emeritus was good. The only deciding factor was that they didn't have a big kitchen facility so for someone who was not ready to move to a real assisted living place that was too much of a change. They had counter space were you could put a coffee pot or some thing and a sink but no baking facility. Of course they had a dining room. It was just going to be too radical a change for my mom.

My dad was there for independent living but the community is independent living/assited living. The activities that we were involved with I thought were great. They were very easy to work with; I really appreciated that. It was way different from another place we saw in that the deposit that you put down came off a month of rent. That was really the selling factor for me.

Very nice but would have liked the patients to have access to a restricted area outside. Didn't observe ongoing activities for Alzheimer area. Did get the feel the staff cares about their patients. Wish there had been an 'in between' setup for severe Alzheimer's and assisted living. Staff was very nice and informative.

I like this place.

loved this one and right now would be our first choice. Liked all the amenities included in the monthly rent and that if needed could move into their assisted living area.

Friendly staff and residents. Clean and good smelling. Good food. Lots of activities for residents.

My mother has been there for a couple of months now and has begun to adapt. Partially it has just been issues adjusting to not living at home anymore. But she is not happy with the food. And there aren't a great deal of activities. A lot of it is staffing shortages. It's just so hard to keep people right now, as is the case everywhere. The staff who are there are really nice. The director is really nice, and I communicate with her frequently. The outdoor area unfortunately some patients can't go out on their own. There's not enough staff to make the accommodations for people to get outside, although she has been able to go out a couple of times on pleasant Spring days. Cleanliness is about average in the rooms. The rest of the facility is very clean. I just wish they could make it in more often to the residents' rooms to vacuum and change sheets and things, although I know they're doing the best they can.

It's a pretty good facility overall. There are a few things that might need tweaking. I realize lockdown is a little bit hard on everybody. But it seems like it might be a little bit too hard, just too much isolation with the residents in their rooms for weeks at a a time. I think the staff are pretty good. They're friendly and seem to do what they can, although they're short-handed. I'm not sure that they have a whole lot of interaction with the patients, although with Covid, my visits have been limited to my loved one's room, so I'm not out and about in the facility to observe.

I would tell others looking into West Fork Village that they have screened in porches for the residents which is a very nice feature to have. The apartment sizes here are also very nice. I would recommend to others looking in the area.

It seems like the worst part is that they don't have enough employees and are understaffed. The care it fluctuates. The people who work they are pretty good but that just don't have enough. The food is average and they offer a limited variety. We chose this community because is was recommended at the time. I would not recommend this community to other families right now

My mother has been at Gramercy Hill for about 11/2 years now. She seems very content an comfortable there. She chose Gramercy herself. As soon as she walked in she felt welcome and felt this was the place where she wanted to be cared for. I don't think you'll go wrong if you chose Gramercy.

People are good at the service they provide

My mom seams to like it and attends most of the activities. I have been impressed with most of the items at the Meadows. I do feel they could really improve on the food. The selection does not seam very healthy or creative. When we eat with her we stick to a sandwich, salad bar or burger. Last time we had the meatloaf and it was not good and it came with frozen wilted looking vegies and a few red potatos.

The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The residents are able to walk out of their rooms into a bright, active area where they can participate in activities of mingle with other residents and guests. The Activity Director is amazing - planning such a variety of daily/monthly activities & inviting guest performers and entertainment. Concerns: 1. Staff morale and turnover. The CNAs are always kind and considerate of the patients but the new faces week after week is alarming. Often the facility seems understaffed especially at night. 2. The RN that is shared with the AL section is never visible in the Memory Care unit and did not return any of our telephone calls. 3. In 6 months, The Meadows Directors was seen mingling with the guests, residents and staff only once.

Getting medication dosages and times were a little problematic for the first couple of months. There is not enough staff for extra services unless you pay to go up to a higher level, making it necessary for home health services. Now that mom has leveled out, things are much better, but were a little rough in the beginning.

My Mother was here for 8 years and due to the flooding, this facility has been shut down. While it was here, there had been a few different owners but Brookdale was the best. The staff was very friendly but they didn’t have that warm homey feel to it. I didn’t really like that the staff let my mom go to her room and isolate herself. The food here was good and they had a lot of options to pick from. Usually, at every dinner, they had 3 different types of meat.

We toured at Brookdale Irving, and I really liked the community. The gentleman who led us on our tour was amazing; such a nice man, and such a nice facility as well. my only issues were the far distance and the price.

This looked like a nice community when we visited. This is a two story building. They do not have individual apartments as the rooms are one big room with a bed and bathroom. The person that took us on tour was nice.
