They are a nice facility and the best we felt however they had a lot of turnover during the time of us for no contracts etc which was very frustrating and even hard to sign an agreement. We got through. Staff super nice but lower so time to get took a little longer than like...overall it's fine..

Traditions at North Bend was very similar to another place we toured. It felt more like they were doing business than anything else - as opposed to considering care for our loved one. The facility was glamorous and had all the bells and whistles, and there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you're looking for. But their businesslike demeanor was a turnoff for us.

They had to hire more, housekeeping staff for cleaning. My loved one receives, alot of care but requires more help with getting dressed. They are often short staffed. There has been pretty good interation with staff. My loved one loves interacting, with other residents during meal. They also, have an onsite salon, in which they can get there hair done once per week.

Staff has been asking people to come write a review about their experiences. The cleanliness of the facility does not meet standards. We have been patient and asked several times about it and have been given a blanket statement each time that “we are working on it”. The front offices always have their doors shut and blinds closed, we assume to avoid questions. My parents put their urine soaked bedding in the window to try and dry it off instead of the aide just washing and changing the bedding for them. The kitchen never has the meal schedule correct and residents are notified when it’s the end of the month and the budget is running low. The receptionist, [name removed], is very helpful. When she is not up there it seems like nobody knows what to do, very unprofessional. My parents love happy hour and we see pictures of them participating in activities on the lobby screen which makes us feel more comfortable. The staff is nice, but being nice doesn’t get the job done.

I am not happy with the care received for my parents. On top of of all the other concerns, a group of us family members have come together and realized the only person that checks on our loved ones when we are around is the activity director. The activity director is also the only one with efficient and fast communication. There has been all management changes within the last few months according to other families in the community. The executive directors door is always closed or she’s out of the office. The residents consistently complain of not knowing who she even is; I suggested to the activity director that the nursing staff makes a Facebook page and maybe families could receive quicker answers this way. I’m not sure she has started this page yet, but I can imagine how busy she is being the buildings only trouble shooter. The Facebook page should also be used to start a support group. The “restaurant” they advertise is a different topic of concern. *insert eye roll*

We toured with Hilliard and it is a very nice facility. There were just some cons that we came upon that we knew this was not going to be the right fit. One of them being that they do not take the medicaid waiver after 2 years. They were also still under strict covid protocols so we were only allowed to meet with the gal in her room.

I have mixed feelings about Traditions at Solana. Some days they were helpful and other days they were not. I'm not happy with the costs that we had to pay for 3 weeks of care. About [amount removed]. I plan to call their home office and ask about that. That seems very outrageous to me. I would maybe recommend them depending on the condition of the individual.

Our loved one was there for a respite stay. Everybody our family talked to was very friendly. However, communication between the staff is horrible. Before my loved one went there, they did an assessment. And I had specifically told them that in the mornings she gets disoriented. They assured me somebody would check in on her in the mornings and make sure she made it to breakfast. Well as soon as she moved in, they went into lockdown due to Covid. And on that first day, no one came in to check on her or bring her food until my sister came to visit that afternoon. My sister was there for about 8 hours, and she said no one came in the whole time she was there. She finally went out and tried to get some food for our mom. My sister said it seemed like they didn't care that Mom wasn't eating. She has daily medication that we had brought all sorted out and ready for us to administer to her daily. There was no mention that they were going to lock those meds up, but they did. So then we couldn't find them. And there was nothing noted that she even got the meds. When we couldn't figure out how to set up the TV, they came in right away to fix it though, and they were very courteous to our mom. It just seemed like they were discombobulated during the few days they were on lockdown, and the staff just wasn't talking to one another like they should be. Other than that, they were very nice and polite. The food was good. It's a very nice and fairly new facility. But the closing bill was triple what we were expecting based on what they had told us. And the main problem was communication.

Some of the staff members were great and some were not. The care givers were great, however the management was not attentive to our needs. Normally we believe the activities were good, they did try their best under the circumstance. Their medical director and head of nursing was somewhat disrespectful and not attentive at all to our questions and concerns. The facility is great if you are more independent.

You need to be pretty mobile to be a resident with lower care needs. They have a small staff and it may take a while to get help. The food is okay. The room sizes are fine. The layout is ok, it is kind of spread out.

My first impression of Park Place was very good. The administrative staff was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind this was my first experience with an assisted living facility. At the time, very few facilities had openings. Park Place was one of the nicest we visited but also one of the most expensive. I would say that Park Place is more of a retirement living than assisted due to the amount of nursing staff and their lack of education. Many of the "nursing staff" had no qualification for helping my mother. My mothers main connection with the staff was a button which often went unanswered or was answered after a long period of time. A few of the nursing staff appeared to hold the whole department together. These key persons were wonderful but unfortunately they didn't work every day. The food is marginal at best and includes a lot of chicken and turkey. The cafeteria is not clean. Dirty dishes are often left on tables for long periods of time. The apartment cleaning is done once per week but they seemed to have problems staffing this area. The maintenance persons were wonderful help with moving her in and helping set up some furniture. Park Place is not a good fit for my mother and her physical needs.

I had visited this community during the construction of the building because they where in the process of opening up there facility and it felt just like a hotel. I just did not think that was the feeling I would want my mother to have in her living environment. The hallways where very long with big units. It was a nice experience it just was not the right fit for her.

We had a nice tour of this community. Everything went well. The staff was kind, and helpful. The community was nice, and clean. It was a good experience. Our concern was that this is a fairly new community, and we wanted a more seasoned facility. Overall our tour went well, but not the one for my mother.
