I would like to see them upgrade the kitchen. I am aware that the kitchen is not a full functioning kitchen. Other then that I have no complaints.

For the most part we have had a very positive experience with the Amethyst Gardens. We have had a few issues with their dining hall and there just being poor service, but other than that we really like the place.

Beautiful grounds and apartments were nice. I wish they had a washer/ryer in the apartments rather than down the hall. The ‘age in place’ approach to independent living is nice. Seems like good value for the money.

The facility is clean. They have great staff there. The food is okay. The activities are good as well. The facility is okay.

The rooms and the facility itself are very nice. It is very clean and well organized. The staff is caring and friendly. The food here isn't terrible, but it could be better. The level and quality of care here is great.

The staff and residents are very kind and friendly. My apartment is very clean and the housekeeping staff keeps it that way. The food and maintenance service is less than average but if you complain enough you will get a response shortly.

We have already gotten Mom situated. We love Amethyst Gardens. Mom had fallen and we didn't know at that time that she was having problems with daily activities. When we went to Amethyst, we set it up so that she could have assistance with dressing. It turns out that Mom got better and she did not need the assistance. We did not really utilize the service and they credited our money back. It really was nice of them to do that. The food could be a little bit better.

They keep changing the restaurant hours and menu items. I'm not sure whether that's good or not, but it seems to be confusing to my Mother-In-Law. The other amenities such as cleanliness, parking spaces, etc. seem to be fine. Overall a good place.

We toured this community while looking into options for a loved one. I thought The Commons on Marice looked like a nice place overall, and it was definitely somewhere I'd consider as an option! However, at the time we toured none of the rooms they had available had a floor plan that worked well for us.

They can improve on the food. They need to do a lot with that since it is really important for the residents. It's a nice place though, the people are friendly and the rooms are nice too. They could do a little better on cleaning the rooms, but other than that it is okay.

I would recommend this place. If you are looking, this is about as good as it gets. The one thing is that they have been out of things in the dining room, but that is getting better.

Mom is having health problems so it took some time for the staff at Amethyst Arbors to get adjusted with her issues. The only real negative I have is I was real disappointed when mom had an accident and she had to go to the hospital, I didn't realize we had to get our own transportation. I think they need to make sure people know this up front. Some positives are the staff is very patient and caring. They have communicated with me really well. I would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone.

They have very lovely people working there at Amethyst Gardens. The staff is very thoughtful and very considerate. The food tastes good too. All the residents there seem to be receiving very good care.

The people there are very nice, both residents and staff. Any maintenance issues are taken care of immediately. And the facility itself is very well maintained and clean. The biggest problem that my mother is having at Regal Palms is the food. She likes the BBQ and would prefer they prepare the meals to order somewhat, like a restaurant. Dinner is earlier than she is used to, also. But she is trying to adapt. We wish she was encouraged more to participate in activities. After living alone so long, she is hesitant to "take the first step," but would like to be reminded of exercise classes, concerts and other events. She isn't used to anything we don't take her to. We know they treat the residents with respect and don't coerce them but she could do with a little coercion! We feel she is in a much safer environment and might start to feel more independent rather than having to defer what she wants until one of us could take her. It has only been a few weeks ... we hope she will soon get more into the swing of things!

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought Westpark Village seemed like a very nice place, overall! The facility was well kept and clean, and the staff I met seemed friendly and caring. It's a smaller place, so the residents seemed to get a lot of one on one care. However, it was also fairly expensive.

My loved one has been here almost a year now, and things are working out very well! They do a good job overall at Amethyst Gardens. The staff here are friendly, and really good at working with individual families and the needs of their loved ones. My one complaint would be that the dining staff could be better trained, the service can be slow and sporadic at times. But overall we are very pleased, we love this place and we're glad we found it!

It's been good so far. It's an old building, but it's well maintained. They are doing a few different projects on the building now. I would give them a four out of five.

Amethyst Arbors is the only facility I found where the rooms open out into an outdoor grassy area. There is a patio on every unit. It has a very home like feel to it. That said there is some room for improvement. Over weekends they seem to be a bit understaffed and it really impacts the level of service that they receive. Also, there was one time when my dad was running low on a certain medication he really needs and they waiting until he was completely out to get it refilled, which led to him having to be without it for a couple of days, which caused some issues. So there is definitely some room for improvement.

It's been a good place. The food is pretty good. The only minor issue I had is that they could of did a better job at the orientation. They should of let everyone know what happens at the facility sooner. Other than that, we are very happy with the Amethyst Arbors. It's a nice place. They have a lot of activities. Everyone is very friendly. The staff has been accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this place.

It's very clean, and the staff is really friendly. The food is very good compared to other places we have been. They offer the same activities that most places offer, but nothing really exciting, or different from the typical things you would see. They could use a few more caregivers. It's a very attractive place.
