I am so impressed with the Regency House. I toured the community today and the residents were so very nice they all said hi and seemed to be very happy. I am looking for my mom a place to call home and the Regency House is definitely the community. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are spacious and either have a balcony or a patio. The community is very clean. I really liked how they are still taking precautions and monitoring for COVID. I look forward to my mother having a great experience at this community.

I work in the Healthcare industry and have several residents I visit at the Regency House and this community is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and help the residents when needed. When I walk into the community the residents are socializing with their mask on laughing and having a great time. When I speak with my patients they have nothing but great things to say about this community.

My mother is a resident at the Regency House and she is so very happy with the staff and the care she receives. The residents seem happy and are always socializing with each other. The food is great. I applaud the community and how it handled COVID. Even to this date the Regency House is taking every precaution to maintain the safety of their residents. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a great place for their loved one.

I chose Haywood Estates because the house I lived in was very close, so I was close for moving things and I am familiar with the area. I have a one bedroom and it is pretty spacious. The staff was very helpful. I would certainly recommend.

Haywood Estates is a wonderful place, the staff members know all of the residents by their first and last names and even their families. It has been really great even through COVID, they are keeping everyone busy. We chose Haywood Estates in the beginning because of the convenience to restaurants and other places in town. It is in a nice, popular part of town but also quiet. They have a walking trail outside which is very nice for the residents. We got the smallest room size, but it works out very well. The closet is very spacious and he has a balcony. I strongly recommend it.

We chose Deepwood Estates because of the cost and the location. The apartment sizes are big and spacious. I would want other people to know that this facility has been very accommodating for everything that we have had issues with or need. I would recommend.

The Regency House is my home now for 8 years. My friends and I get together and play games, go to lunch, and socialize. The food is wonderful! The staff is nice and go out of their way to help.

We chose this community because of the location, it is very close to my aunt. Also, the services that they offered such as the hair salon, meal services, etc. The overall layout of the apartment was nice as well. The apartment sizes are pretty good, plenty of space for one person. She likes the food. I would recommend Lighthouse Pointe.

My move here is one of the best moves I have ever made. The staff here could not be any nicer or more helpful. I am treated with respect and always with a cheerful attitude. The food is so good and again, if I have a special need the chef is most eager to help me and always comes through with the right food. This place is great!

The price for this community is good, and one thing that really stood out to us most was that it looked like a nice fancy hotel. The rooms are nice and very well laid out. The food was great at this community, we would love to eat there all the time. We would recommend this to a family or friend.

I toured the Regency House for my mom. I was highly impressed with the community, staff, and residents. The rooms have been remodeled and are beautiful. Brought my mom back to the community and she is now a proud resident!

Today I had a tour at the Regency House. I was impressed with they way they are handling visitor's during COVID. All the residents had their mask on and were laughing and enjoying themselves. The community is very clean and the staff is super friendly. I met the sales leader, [name removed], Activity Leader and the house keeper for the floor I was touring. This really impressed me how they took the time to speak with me. I am very active and the residents I spoke with are active as well. I will be signing by [date removed].

If you are looking for an independent facility, it would be a good option. It is not as intimidating as some other facilities. They only have a retirement community, and it is easier to transition. It is very similar to an apartment, but my mother is around more people. It is a smaller community, compared to other communities. It is three stories, and easy to is navigate.

I started my research over six years before I was planning on moving in anywhere. There were things I needed in a facility and some required a personal visit. Rivers Edge far exceeded all the points important to me; (Allow pets, how clean, staff, facility appearance) just to name a few. I made several visits to Rivers Edge over an extended period of time and was never disappointed. I have lived here for two years this November and have never regretted my choice.

[name removed] was the first to cal me and so personable and knowledgeable. She sent me a virtual visit via email including the apartment Mom would be should we choose this facility. It is a one bedroom on the first floor with a patio and is lovely, but I don't think Mom needs this much space now. I am going to follow up with her to see if they have or will have a studio available. Just to update: they do not have studio style apartments and I really do not think a one bedroom is needed.

I am so pleased to be a resident at the Regency House. The staff is amazing. The food is delicious and well prepared. It is a very clean atmosphere. We have a lot of community events no one is every bored.

I am a resident of the Regency House and have lived at the community for 5 years. “There are many positive reasons for living at the Regency House. I and my family spent four years visiting sites for independent living for seniors, and I kept returning to the Regency House to visit one more time before finally making up my mind and moving in. It was a perfect choice for the following reasons: It is a safe and secure place where the management and employees care about the residents. It is all on the ground floor with outside doors into the courtyards or parking lot, as well as secure inside hallways with outside doors that are locked at all times. The employees here are well-trained, honest, and caring. I have never requested any help or favors that weren’t fulfilled quickly and with a smile, whether it be from a housekeeper, cafeteria servers, or other employees. Two of the special opportunities we have, especially for those who do not drive anymore, are church services and three meals a day here is especially valuable. This provides nutritious food that we do not have to prepare, but it also provides table companions and talk during the meals, which is delightful.” Activities going all the time, and they are creative and appropriate for the age of the residents here. There is no time to be bored if we tenants take advantage of all that is offered, and the events vary from music by good artists to varied card and domino games; programs such as that about the Dust Bowl, a Memoir Writing Class, exercise classes or special interview programs with and for the residents.

The Regency House is by far the best retirement community in Decatur. The residents are so nice to my mom. She has lived at this community for 6 years and loves it. The food is amazing and you actually have choices to choose from. Mom likes that there is a calendar full of different activities she can choose from, as well as different clubs of interest. This community is worth the trip to visit!!
