This is a clean and beautiful community. It has beautiful views of nature and the park. The people are nice but right now is a hard time for everyone with the staffing challenges that everyone is going through. The administration staff have been very helpful and available through the process. The tour was great and I got to see everything that I needed and they gave me all of the information that I needed.

This has been a great move for my loved one. I would make sure to ask questions on what is most important to you and your loved one. I would also recommend you get the answers from more than one person. My loved one is thriving here. The staff have been helpful, and great at listening. There is one meal a day that is included in the monthly fee, along with housekeeping once a week. Some of the activities that are available include exercise classes, water aerobics, yoga, wellness classes, arts and crafts, socials, and more for the residents to choose from.

We chose Senior Star because it was recommended to us by his doctor and also when we came to tour this was the facility he really liked the best. The room sizes are a little on the smaller side, they could be bigger. They do offer a lot of activities and there always seems to be something going on. He has Parkinson's and the staff seem to really work with him and help him out when they can. We would recommend them to others.

There was a lot going on, the residents were really getting engaged but for our parents since we were overwhelmed we thought they would be just as overwhelmed. However, everyone was still very nice and accommodating.

Nice people. Quiet community. Very clean. This place is a possibility.

The nursing staff was good. The lady at the front desk can be a little less than friendly. I would recommend this community that is more independent is a great place. If your loved one is above a 2 on the scale of care needs, I would recommend you go to a different community.

Our loved one is in memory care unit and they have a nice garden right outside. It is a walking trail and our loved one likes to walk it a lot. We would recommend Senior Star community to a family or friend.

I talked with the representative on the phone and in person before taking a tour of the community and having lunch in the dining hall. The rep was very friendly and made me feel welcome and interested. She was the main influence who helped me make my decision. Since I moved in she was dismissed. Sorry for that. She brought sunshine and happiness to the community. We miss her. The dining staff are very friendly and give excellent service. The food is excellent most of the time. The manager is friendly, above and above the average. The activities director is very friendly and does her best with the variety of ages and mobility of the residents. There is a variety and she does her best to help everyone be involved. I am happy to be living here.

We toured this community for my husband, and his. Our tour went well, and this is a nice community. It was a good experience, and everyone was very polite to us. The community looked great, and well-kept. The staff was friendly. Everything went well, but it was not the community for my husband.

The experience was a good once. Unfortunately, they were unable to take my father for his respite care stay because he was on a mechanical soft diet at the time.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my father and it was a pleasant experience. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them. I thought they had a nice floor plan with lots of great amenities for all of the residents. It was a nice place but just was not the right fit for him in the end decision.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. She has been making her way down to the dinning room and enjoys the meals they are providing. I am pleased to see that she is slowly starting to get involved with a few of the activities they have available throughout the week. The staff have been easy to work with and I am comfortable with the care they are providing.

This was one of my mothers top picks to where she would like to move too. Unfortunately the location wasn't convenient for us. However our tour went very well. This is a nice community with nice people. The staff was kind, and answered our questions. We did like this community, and our tour was nice.

Everything is going well for my mother with her move to this community. She has been the transition into this community very well. The staff is taking good care of and her, and needs. All is well for my mother in this community.

The staff knocked our socks off when we toured. Food was excellent. Will recommend this and one other facility to my parents and leave decision to them. A big plus for them is the nature preserve setting. My only downsides are that for this being the highest monthly price of ones we are considering, I wish they had an on-site ATM machine, on-site medical clinic, an indoor pool for warm water therapies and a dedicated auditorium/theater room like the competing facilities. Also, some apartments have been updated at expense of residents but some are in need of some updated kitchen cabinetry, built in microwave to free counter space, new paneled doors and wider doorways in bedrooms/bathrooms. At this price, all residents should get the upgrades. But if the staff gives as much attention to their residents as they do their visitors, my folks will be well looked after.

We are satisfied with the care that my loved one is receiving at the Senior star. The staff are very friendly and take very good care of her. They are caring and sit with her during meals if she needs help. She loves how quiet and peaceful it is there.
