A wonderful and caring facility. We wish mom could continue to stay there.

They are very friendly. I have absolutely no complaints. She’s just in independent living, so she doesn’t use the care services. It’s a very nice place! I think my aunt’s been very happy. I’d refer people directly to Senior Star.

Loved the facility and the personnel however it is out of their budget

I recently moved my 92 year old mom into her apartment at Senior Star. I was able to stay in one of the apartments for several days during my stay in Davenport. This afforded me the opportunity to observe actual interaction between the staff and residents. This was my top priority. I can't say enough about the sincere caring attitude from every staff member. I left there with total confidence that my mom would continue to receive the best care possible and that she would adapt quickly in such a cheerful and genuinely caring environment,

I really like them. It's very clean, and the staff is great, very helpful, and very friendly. The food has been great. She has enjoyed everything she has had. I would recommend this place to anyone, I would live here when I get to that age. The residents were also very friendly here, which is one reason we chose them.

We found the entire organization to be friendly, accommodating and helpful. We recommend this facility to anyone looking for senior care.

I have nothing but good things to say about Wexford Place. So far, everything has been great and I have been very pleased. I can't think of anything they could use improvement on yet, but it's only been a short while. I really do believe that the caring attitude of the staff is the one thing that really stood out to me.

I like it very much! They have good food! That is the main reason why I moved here. They have all kinds of activities. They have an exercise room with about twelve different machines. Very good transportation, so good that I sold my car! They have a bus and several vans that will take you to the medical office, church, post office, etc. Any place you want to go within Franklin County. We go to Wal*Mart and Kroger frequently on shopping trips. If I wanted to go to a specialty store, and there wasn't one in the area, they wouldn't take me there, and that's the only problem. I am happy to be back in Ohio!

Had a lovely tour with Kara on the 26th of Sept. and really liked the place and it's location to me, only 5 minutes away!I need to look into mother ins. and what would be covered and hope tyhat she chooses this facility as a place she would like to reside at. She is thinking about it now but not quite ready for a commetment yet.

Beautiful setting, very clean, staff was very friendly. Interiors and exteriors updated. Wonderful activities and outings.

This one was more homey instead of being like a home for the elderly. The other places we looked at just didn't have that homey feel to them. Their staff is just wonderful, and will do anything for the residents there. They go out of the way to make sure everything is clean and well-cared. I'm ready to move in myself! It's a nice place and if there's anything wrong they come and fix it right away. My mother's feeling better and not so stressed out like she was when she was living in her home. Her face isn't distressed like it was before, and I don't have to worry about her anymore. She's even getting around better now. On a 10 out of 10, this is 150! I can't say enough good things about this place. They go to the store, and they'll even go shopping for her if she doesn't feel like going herself.

It's great! They make them feel welcome and right at home. The people that are living there are part of the sucess of it too. They're very welcoming and friendly. Wexford Place has met all of our expectations and what we were looking for. I'd highly recommend the place.

Friendliness of staff- 1 of the big draws for us, everyone with few exceptions very welcoming and friendly. Meals/dining - only true negative. Has deteriorated significantly since coming here. Probably tight budget but food very important to many of us. (Uniformly not hot and over or under spiced) Could also be staff related but servers wonderful (many students, really try hard).

Overall we had a good experience while she was here. We were pleased.

We had no complaints during her respite stay here. Mom seemed to like it and had a good experience. It seemed to be a well run facility and they did have activities for residents to participate in and she liked to do those. If she does end up needing a facility in the future we will probably come back to Senior Star. I would recommend to others looking.

It worked out great for us. Our transition was during the pandemic, and they made it east due to the circumstances. They assigned us a point person to get information and this was huge for us. This allowed better communication about my loved one. They allowed for ease of transition to assisted living. This made it even easier due to the contact person and people involved.

It’s been a year since my last review, and even with the pandemic, this place continues to provide outstanding care! Little issues with dietary were easily resolved with an email, and the responsiveness of [name removed](the healthcare RN), [name removed](the administrator), [name removed](the activity director) and [name removed](community liaison), all of the front desk staff and[name removed] have exceeded my every expectation. I’m an RN still working and totally understand the impact of the pandemic on congregate communities, but this community has successfully gone above and beyond to protect and serve its residents and their families.

My mother is at DRV. It is a place she likes and had done well. I was really drawn in by the friendliness of the staff and the way they treat resident family members as part of their extended community. Mom likes the food and we all like the ability to have dinner with her in the dining room periodically (COVID notwithstanding). I was especially impressed with how quickly management get on top of the COVID pandemic to keep residents safe. Revised practices and policies were in place before the state made its announcements. Furthermore, I like how these policies and practices evolve slightly to better meet the needs of the residents. COVID has created an environment with many challenges. Certain resident activities have restarted as appropriate, but the overall number of activities seems to be down. My only suggestion is to have more "safe" activities that will fill the void of the "unsafe" activities that have been blotted from the list. Great job staff!

My father has been at Burgundy for 2.5 years. They have been an unbelievable God-send for him after my mother passed away. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond in every aspect of life for their residents. I could not recommend Burgundy more highly!!
