Friends and family may likely be one of the most important and overlooked factors in assisted living. The staff at Lakewood Park Manor treats my Mom and all the other residents like family. My Mom came to Lakewood Park Manor lonely and in despair. She's now happily part of a community that feels like family. She has made many friends with the other residents.

Great, professionally run senior living facility. My mother liked it before she needed their care. We've been very happy with their care and services for several years now. A good value. Increasing care needs have been progressively available and provided by Hillside

The Commons has become family to us. The staff is more than helpful and so caring. My mother is feeling at home there more and more. Her physical needs are significant. Fam is very involved. The medical care she receives is more than adequate. We are very happy with The Commons.

An institution is only as good as the people who work there. The staff at The Commons is outstanding from top to bottom. Everyone is professional and courteous. They have created a "family" environment with the residents. The facility provides good food, entertainment, excursions, myriad activities. Very immaculate. Reasonably priced.

My mom moved in to Lakewood Park Manor about a month ago! I am very impressed with the constant activities and environment of the building. No one is ever bored and employees are well trained. The staff is so amazing and shows real compassion towards each resident. Care is very individualized and the facility is very clean. Nothing like other assisted livings I’ve visited before choosing Lakewood Manor. I couldn’t imagine a better place for mom.

We moved Mom to Lakewood Park Manor about 6 months ago from another facility. There is no comparison between the two facilities. We visit Mom almost every day. While there, we observe many of the residents and the interactions between each other and the staff members. We are impressed with all the daily activities and also the great quality of their meals. In any new facility, they have some adjustments required, but every issue we observed had been resolved quickly and efficiently. Communication between the staff members has been outstanding and they are always willing to listen to our suggestions. We would highly recommend this facility to take care of your loved ones. If you are looking for a facility that treats your loved one as family, Lakewood Park Manor is the facility you need.

The caregivers at Lakewood Park Manor are amazing. Everyone in the assisted living center has patience and compassion. They are friendly, courteous and proactive. This place has been a lifesaver for my dad! He is taking part in lots of activities and thriving there.

I been here for 4 months and I am still adjusting. The place is clean and doesn’t smell. Staff are helpful and I made new friends here. They have transportation provided, I am able to get to my appointments. They have a beauty shop downstairs, I get my haircut there. I like the fitness room they have. My physical therapist from home health would take me in there when she comes by to give me therapy. I would recommend to those who are looking for independent or assisted living.

I am a vendor, I usually deliver packages here since this is one of my routes. I been to many different communities and healthcare. This community is one of the best and nicest in Downey. No odor, residents here are well groomed and dressed. Place is very well kept up and very clean.

Best assisted living in the area. After touring several facilities in Downey, we saw Lakewood which was clean and smelled good. The rooms where spacious and the staff was friendly.

Absolutely a yes! The place is a great location! They are across from Downey Landing and Downey promenade. My mom recently moved in and she loves the place. Staff are great and caring! Lakewood made it easy for my family and during the transition. They took care of medication refills since they have in house pharmacy, transportation if she needs to run errands or get to her appointments. They also have a beauty shop, gym, game room, couple of beautiful common areas and coffee/tea/water station per floor and inside the game room too. I saw a pool table and a bowling alley! Mom is happy and so are we!

You’ll have to go for a tour in person to see the upgrade there. Looks different compared to online photos. Place is beautiful and you’ll see residents interacting with one another and staff assisting residents. We came in while it was lunch time, food smells good and they have alternative menu options too. They have a mini bowling alley in the game room which is pretty awesome. Place is very clean and smells like fresh baked cookies

I am a resident at Lakewood Pak Manor and have been here for 18 months. I enjoy living here because the staff and residents are very friendly. I keep busy and there is a lot to do. I work out in the gym with the help of the staff. The equipment is nice and modern. I have a one-bedroom apartment that is recently upgraded. It is well equipped with all the appliances. Very convenient with transportation for shopping and doctors appointments. Help is also available if needed within the premises.

I recently had my grandmother placed here in assisted living and the staff has been outstanding thus far. The manager was more than accommodating to show me all around and explain anything to me I had questions about. The staff is also upbeat and friendly. My grandmother absolutely feels comfortable and welcome here. My family and I all feel comfortable with her here for her safety and her day-to-day life. My grandmother has macular degenerative eye disease and they've been more than accommodating in setting up her room and getting the necessary things that she needs. I cannot say enough about good thing about Lakewood Park.

This facility is amazing. The entire staff is extremely friendly and professional. The independent living facilities are beautiful and pristine. The dining room is like a country club. The food is quite good. There are many daily activities to choose from. Our family member has been living here for a few months and is very happy. When asked if she misses her house, she said that she doesn’t because she has everything she needs here and has made many friends.

I have been a resident of Lakewood Park Manor for 5 years; I would not want to live anywhere else. I have been treated like a family member. I enjoy the activities, especially bingo. I have made a lot of friends here who have the same ideals. I intend to make this my final home for the rest of my life.

I have been a resident of Lakewood Park for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have recommended it to many friends who have as a result moved here. The Staff is outstanding - very caring and efficient. Our Activity Director does a great job with so many recreational choices. The food is very good as is the dining room staff.

Scheduling a tour was easy and not as complicated as I had experienced with the other assisted living’s. I liked the fact that I was able to communicate my wants, needs and expectations before touring Lakewood Park Manor. I was impressed with the building up keeping, staff and respect I received overall. I will be moving my uncle in next month.

I placed my mother at Lakewood Park Manor and she absolutely loves it! They have a verity of activities to appeal to different folks liking, entertainment room which is also open for family to use while visiting, meal alternates, transportation to and from Dr’s appointment & outings(which is great since I live out of state), friendly staff.
