Great facility! The people and staff at Venetian Gardens are very nice and extremely accommodating. They have made the transition of moving here very easy & much more enjoyable. The food is very good. I am very appreciative of all the activities offered through out the day. ** Best staff that a facility could have!

I definitely recommend the Venetian Gardens to seniors looking for an all-inclusive retirement community. They provide three meals a day which are good, as well as the service. The servers are friendly and really enjoy working here. All smiles!

I chose to live here because of neighborhood proximity to my daughter. Excellent personnel - managers & activity director are efficient and try to maintain a good standard for all workers. Housekeeping staff works very hard keeping building vacuumed & cleaned. Landscapers maintain flowers & bushes, grass cut. Food is OK and menu tries to include meats, fish & poultry. Thanks to all!!!

The glue that holds this community together is the paid staff. They are very professional and yet caring and sensitive. I believe this encourages the residents to act the same way to one another. It is the best possible outcome for a population in advanced age. Much better than I anticipated!

Within my mom's budget and offers amenities that she needs. However, their rates are about to change and will have to check back.

I was really impressed that immediately after moving my mom into Brentwood every single staff member knew her and her dog by name. And they continue to greet her by name every time they see her. She had just lost her husband of 69 years and relocated to this area from out of state to be close to family. She was very nervous about moving into a new place all by herself. The staff all went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. Very clean, cheerful environment with super friendly staff. We are very thankful for a safe, comfortable place for mom to live.

After researching at least 6 different Independent Living facilities in town I chose Venetian Gardens for my mother. It was not hard to choose Venetian Gardens. I found the facility ti be clean, neat, up to date, garden area and entrance supreme. The staff is exceptional, personal and very professional. It did not take very long; week only to feel the warmth and family atmosphere with activities and friendship beyond compare!

The staff is excellent and helpful. The dining room is well organized and meals of service enjoyable. Games and entertainment excellent - also bus service, medical help, apartments well cleaned. I'm lucky to be here and have no complaints!

This home exceeds my expectations in every way. It is very safe, clean, comfortable, friendly and appealing. Most of this is because of the very excellent staff. They are all kind, efficient and present. It is very smart to have them have open office doors and to pour coffee at the fine meals. It means constant contact with the entire house. They create a warm, consistent atmosphere. All residents know what to expect. It fills us to be helpful to others, participate in activities and stay as well as possible. We feel like family!

After my husband passed away, I stayed in my home another year. This was not good as I was eating alone and watching TV or working crossword puzzles. Here at Venetian Gardens where I have made lots of friends and can have them to eat my meals with. I'm always playing cards or attending exercise classes. We have nice entertainments. By the way in two more months I will have lived here 10 years. Time has flown by, I'm contented.

We are so glad we chose Elmcroft. It was literally the best decision we could have made. The former facility where the parents had been had a major change in staffing, all the way from the top down and the care went downhill considerably. After 3 years at the former facility and both parents almost dying due to lack of adequate assisted living care we had no choice but to look for another facility. We toured 2 other facilities and neither worked, for various reasons. Elmcroft is the perfect size, about 48 residents max. Staff ratio is 2 med techs to each wing (2 wings), a supervising LPN. It is all one floor going in a circle so no one can get lost. No stairs or elevators like the other facility which was a major problem. Everyone, and I mean everyone from the executive director on down has been fabulous since day 1. No problem is too big or too small to handle. Staff communication is wonderful, phone calls, emails and no unwelcome surprises like we had elsewhere where there was no communication. There is no dementia unit here at this point and no skilled nursing but if you are simply interested in assisted living with meds given by the staff and wonderful food, activities, residents and staff this is the place for you.

Elmcroft is a first rate place to live. My sister raved about the food and the staff. The rooms and all the surroundings were beautiful. The staff was ever so thoughtful as we dealt with a difficult situation. My only regret is that my sister didn't get to enjoy the facility for very long.

I visited St. Gabriel's of Corpus Christi is hopes of moving my Mom closer to my family. I was told they are now under new management and have a lot of positive changes going on. One thing I really liked is that there is a nurse in the building around the clock, not just on call. This is important to me as my Mom sometimes has issues with her blood sugar. Having a nurse right there will help to lessen hospital visits. They also have menu choices even for memory care. I love that, sometimes food is so important to good health. The food looked amazing and I was able to see the menu for a whole month on my tour. The staff was so friendly, and they were all interacting with the Residents on their level and that made it feel so like home. The person giving me the tour was also able to give me resources on groups to help the family deal with Alzheimer's and was invited to a meeting they are having there. I also loved that all care in included in the price, that I only have to bring her personal items. This is a great savings and they offered to help me with her long term care paper work. I also love the fact that they only do memory care there. Residents were doing activities on their level in small groups which was a plus. There is also secure outside areas for them to garden if they would like. This experience made me feel more at ease on this journey. If all works out and my Mom moves I will choose St. Gabriel.
