They are taking good care of my mom. My mom likes the food. The room sizes and layout of the community are good. They have limited outdoor space for the residents. Overall it has been a positive experience.

My loved one was treated with friendly cheerful care every day. I observed a tremendous amount of staff interaction. I was incredibly impressed by the layout too, it's very secure for the safety of the residents but you don't feel like a captive. My loved one had a stay at [facility name removed] in Raymore and the difference is night and day. I haven't reviewed [facility name removed] but I really should as a cautionary tale. There is no possibility I could have provided the care and support found at The Villages. This is A+ and I can't say enough good things about the people who work here or the facility itself. They treat everyone with dignity and respect and have a full calendar of events that enrich the lives of the residents.

It is always a heartbreaking situation to have to place one's ailing parent in a memory care unit. Mom lived out her days with the staff singing to her and smiling with her. They encouraged her to be active and move her extremities. She was well fed and well taken care of. No nursing home is perfect and things sometimes get missed. But I am so glad I chose The Villages for my mother. She was happy and smiled a lot. She got a lot of attention from the great staff, the activities director and the social worker. Dementia is never ever fun and watching your parent decline is one of the worst things in life. My mothers dementia is the heartbreak of my life. The only saving grace was having her in a facility that was beautiful, that treated her well----where she could live out her days among those who could care for her better than I. She was close, I could always visit and she was well taken care of. What more can I ask for?

My dad lived in this facility for over four years. Most of his time was spent in Independent living. In the past year he spent about 3 weeks in skilled nursing and about four months in Assisted Living. It took several months for dad to adjust to the change, but my dad grew to love his time at Karcher. He made wonderful friends. He had a two bedroom apartment, so had plenty of space and lots of light. He loved the friendly staff. Skilled nursing was a little harder. He was needy when he first arrived and sometimes the staff didn’t arrive as quickly as he wanted, but they taught him to walk again and how to care for himself. He called it “physical torture” instead of physical therapy.?? He then moved to assisted living. It was so nice that everything was done in the same building. His friends from independent living had easy access to checking on him. Assisted living took a little time to adjust to, after the years of independence. The aids administered his medication correctly and came when he called. The staff became his friends and he cared about them. At the time he passed away, they grieved with us. I am not saying everything was perfect. There were small issues here and there to deal with. But the staff and management were available and willing to work with us. They made things right. I do not regret placing my dad in this facility.

We moved my mom in the first week they opened the Carson-Tahoe Expressions Memory Care facility. Before mom moved in, they allowed us to come in and personalize her room by painting, installing furniture and even customize her window treatments! Even though it is brand new, it is not your typical “hospital like facility”. Each “apartment” has it’s own thermostat with a climate controlled system so the resident can be as warm or as cool as they like. Exceptional care has been taken to decorate the facility with art and furnishings reflecting an outdoor, rustic, yet contemporary feel with lots of local artistry displayed in the many pictures & photos throughout. All of the staff go above and beyond to educate themselves about medical, physical and emotional needs of each resident and extra care is given to accurately and appropriately address the needs of each resident. Additionally, the staff encourages visitors and family members to participate in activities with the residents. If your loved one wants to keep their pet with them, the facility allows for pets to be kept by residents (there is a pet policy & additional fee). Regular outings into the surrounding community keep the residents from becoming “stagnant” and bored by looking at the same thing every day. The food is delicious (visitors are welcome to dine with residents) and special dietary needs are addressed without compromising quality. Expressions Memory Care is a jewel of a facility and the people are the best in the business! I highly recommend taking a tour and seeing it for yourself!

Thank for helping us find an exultant facility. My Mother enjoys the caregivers attention that she receives at Prestige in Manteca Ca. The entire staff there works hard to guarantee that everyone is safe and happy. Thank you again.. .

Due to a decline in his health we had to find a good place for Dad in a hurry. Prestige impressed me favorably the minute we walked in. Beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained. Even better, is the terrific level of care my dad receives. Everybody is very kind, respectful and interested in helping him in any way he needs. Moving dad into Prestige was the absolute right thing to do.

Summerplace, like ALL Assisted Livings have turn over, staff that may not mesh with out loved ones, Administrative staff that are just too busy to take our phone calls, and foods we may not like. They do have 1 thing in common. The desire and want to care for our loved ones. My mother lived at Summerplace for 5 years. We saw it all. The good, the bad, the terrible.as a retired nurse myself, I can say that the Health office has the best of intentions and 95% of the staff REALLY cared about my mom. The other 5 percent, were the bad apples that just wanted a paycheck. Summerplace is a beautiful community. The new, improved, and long term staff will be an amazing team going forward in 2018. I wish that I would see it unfold. Summerplace is trying very hard to have an amazing reputation again, all in do time. The reviews below do not demonstrate the truth of Summerplace. I would highly recommend Summerplace for anyone.

My Mom lives here and loves it. It’s been wonderful and she’s really happy. The staff is friendly and nice, the food is good and there are plenty of options to choose from. They offer 2 main courses for each meal but you can also get an alternate if you don’t want either of the main choices. The overall feeling of the place is cozy and it’s very clean. If my Mom has any issues with her room, maintenance takes care of it. They offer bingo, movie nights, and shopping trips. They also have a bank, beauty shop, barber shop, convenience store, exercise rooms, pool tables, and big screen TVs. As far as activities are concerned, their calendar is always full. I highly recommend this place.

The staff was always good to me when I lived here. It was a larger community than other places and they have a lot more entertainment because of that. I enjoyed all of the musical activities they offered. The décor was nice and they allowed me to have a display of decorations in my room. As for the rooms, some of the rooms were updated and some weren’t. I would recommend this community to other families.

Great value for the money! Caring staff and clean. Wonderful atmosphere and the food was also good. Nice sized apartments and very homey. The residents were happy and interacted well with staff. Long term staff who could answer questions.

Mom seems to be doing well at Newport Beach Memory Care. The overall atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. It is a nice and clean community. We really like the open floor plan it helps make it more comfortable and inviting. The staff is very friendly and attentive to my mom's care needs. I have sat with her while she is dining and the meals look good. They do provide activities for the residents if they want to engage in them. There are walking areas outside that my wife and I like to take my mom to get out and enjoy the fresh air. It is a warm and caring community that meets my mom's needs at this time. I have already recommended this community to others.

My dad loved his cottage and the food is great. The other residents have been helpful and friendly. He had enjoyed the experience tremendously. I would recommend them to a friend.

My mom she likes the community and has been settling in well. She is happy with the meals, it is wonderful. She is surprise that the food is flavorful and not bland. She likes she is able to get half size portions when she chooses from the menu. They have activities available and she has tried a few but she tells me that is not for her. The staff are great and they check on her constantly. I would recommend the community to my family or friends if it was needed.

We like that this community is in a good location and it met the cost needs for my mom. She is doing pretty good and she tell me she loves it there. The staff are very nice and helpful. Mom gets 3 meals a day which is included with the price and that has helped us financially. They also have taken her to the doctor, urgent care and taking her around to get medication, they are flexible but prefer a week in advance notice.

We like the care that my mom is getting here. The community is clean and maintained. The meals are outstanding. They do offer her activities for her. I have recommended this community for the care of a loved one for the care and the value for others. My mom is very happy here. The community is like a townhouse and not inside with other residents. It makes her feel happy to have a home she calls her own.

My mom has been living at Sullivan Park for a year, and we haven't had any issues. Such friendly, helpful staff and fun activities for her. She loves bingo! I would recommend this place to anyone in need of an Assisted Living for their loved ones.

My sister has been in great hand at Sullivan Park in Spokane. Everything is good that they do and taking good care of her. She is still able to be independent with assistance from the community. Her meals are good and she has not complained. They give her medication and clean her room. They do everything for her that she needs help with.
