The staff was very professional very helpful and knew their job well. I would absolutely recommend Powell Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care to anyone looking.

When it came time to find a place for my dad we were sort of crushed for time. Van Mall had all the services we needed, a convenient location, and on the whole was the best place for us and our needs. We needed a place with more care services as dad needed more assistance, and Van Mall has those services. We also really like the atmosphere there.

Our loved one is not in care, but staff is helpful and kind. We would give the meals a 4+, Mom loves the meals and the environment of the restaurant. Her husband is not impressed, but he is a picky eater. Unfortunately, my mom and [name removed] don't go to the activities. Mom considers her meal times her social hours and Al doesn't want to do activities. It's expensive, but they get good value considering the cost of retirement homes in the area.

My loved one was previously a resident at Van Mall and the overall experience was good. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff and care services were good. However, there were excessive wait times to receive food, food was not prepared as ordered or food received was not as ordered, and food was not received at the proper temperature (hot foods were not hot when received).

I'd say it was clean and set up well for its purpose. We chose this community because it's close to us, the prices are decent, they had an immediate opening and they run a memory care facility right next door, which we anticipate my mother will need eventually.

I gave the cleanliness a 4 only because it is an older building and could stand an update to the walls (paint), floor and carpet as well. And food, sometimes limited options are not to my liking. Not that skipping a meal now and then would hurt my waistline, or health My primary motivator for selecting this facility is proximity (4 blocks) to main central public transit hub, great location. I chose one of the smallest studios (325 square feet) because it suits my needs and preferences, but I have been in others that seem quite nice, double or triple mine. There are GREAT view from the upper floors.

I cannot rate the value because I have nothing to compare it to. They could improve on the distribution of their "terrace tattler" however I am really enjoyed the Friday happy hours!

The only comment I would make is that it was sometimes, not always, it can be difficult to communicate with the proper staff to get my questions answered. I would recommend Evergreen Memory Care to other families.

Staff truly care about the people staying there So helpful getting to and from car & even carrying in groceries when needed Friends can be made instantly and yet they respect quiet dinners too Mom plays Rummy-cube Bingo Bunco And I've got it! Some of her friends come there just to play games ... Mom also loves her free housekeeping on Saturday's All staff know everyone! Never "stress free" for aging adults but safety and not being so isolated is so important!

My loved one likes the food. We picked this community, because the location was good for siblings and myslef. It was a cheerful l atmosphere, and it looked very nice. It felt open, comfortable and welcoming. Everyone has been very nice but their responsivness to requests has been slow. I would recommend to other families. Overall , we are pretty happy.

The location is great, just a few block away from a main public transit hub, which was really important to me. The building has 17 floors, and there are great views out the window. The staff I've interacted with have been excellent. The food is better than cafeteria food. Sometimes there's a long wait at mealtimes, but the serving staff is wonderful. I see a lot of activities posted if you like that sort of thing. I think it's a great value, which was one of the reasons why I chose them. I went for the little studio, and it's tight, but it's a lot bigger than other apartments I've had before outside of senior living. As a more active person, my needs and preferences might be vastly different than what other people are looking for, but for me it has been great. I really like it here.

The staff is extremely nice and helpful, everyone that works here tries exceptionally hard and is very nice and shows that they care. It does seem like the place is understaffed and could use more employees, though the ones they have are amazing. The carpets in the place are dirty, the trash disposal rooms are unkempt, and there is an unpleasant smell in a lot of the building. Also, usually only one elevator works, and the washing machines often break. Aside from that though, the staff does an amazing job, it just seems like they are overworked for how many people they have. It seems like the budget should be increased. The building itself is really fantastic, it's far more impressive than any others we looked at. The terrace level is expansive and full of amenities, the courtyard is beautiful, and the apartments are newly renovated. I would recommend, as the apartments are nice and my mom is happy here, there are just some improvements in upkeep and staffing to be made.

This community was not quite as good as the main community that I went with. My main choice just stood out too much for me to go with the other.

The person who interviewed us was wonderful. I think you just have to be very communicative with them about your person that's coming in, and say if there's something you want as an activity, or be wiling to say my loved done isn't getting enough of this or that. And they're more than willing to examine that and talk to who they need to to make it happen. The staff they have are great. Just like everyone else right now, they're having problems with staffing. But the food is very good, definitely better than where my loved one came from, which is wonderful. I think for the money, it's definitely worth it. My loved one is much happier here.

Caring, friendly staff took care of my mother during the December through March covid season. They got the vaccines. Without covid restrictions for visitors (from the state) it would have been completely wonderful.

Overall the community has been a good job. They had an issue with the cable and this left them with not much to do during covid, Communication could have been better after move in and we had to initiate and conversation. I would recommend this community

The staff at the community is very nice, our loved one really enjoys them. Due to the covid restrictions the community involvement is pretty limited, and the activities are limited. However most of the entire community has been vaccinated so hopefully they start bringing things back. The cost is very economical with independent living, our loved one has a studio plus apartment which a little nook for the bed, and that included all utilities and food. The only issue our loved one has is with the food, its more cafeteria styles instead of restaurant styled, and it can also be inconsistent.
