New Horizons

Things seem to be going very well at New Horizons! It really is a beautiful place, and I think they do a great job looking after our elderly loved ones. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful, and they do a great job keeping the facility clean and well kept. From what I have heard from my loved one they do a great job with the food as well!

We were very impressed by what we saw here during our tour! The facility itself is beautiful, and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our main concern here was financial. The facility had an upfront buy-in fee that didn't work with our current circumstances. However, if it is within your means this place looks incredible!

My Dad lived at this location for quite a while, and we feel like it provided really excellent service at a great price, especially considering some of the places we've seen since moving him out. It's a really warm and friendly place, and the nurses were always seem present and attentive. We felt like they really knew him, and that he got a lot of individual attention.

It's excellent, we've had no problems so far. They keep people very active, very engaged, their staff is always watching what they're doing. The food is excellent, she loves it, they made the transition fantastic, they put her right away with people that were friendly and she gained all of these friends right away. I couldn't think of anything they could improve on.

Great community; excellent tour with Karen. We're going to present options to my father-in-law and will hopefully make a decision in the next few weeks.

We are waiting for final approval but expect it in a day or two; however, would like to move in on 8/28/13 if all goes well. Everyone there is so very helpful and nice.

Beautiful facility and a wonderful value. Our fingers are crossed for a long relationship.

My loved one is in the assisted living building. It's important to know going in what that entails. So there is no emergency medical care, and you have to have your own doctor. They do provide some medical services, including a podiatrist. Just be aware that if an emergency happens, they call 911 and are not able to do anything for your loved one. The service staff is a little pushy. They want things to be done the way they want them done. Outside of those parameters, they still do things but might be a little grumpy about it. They do seem very caring, but just a bit pushy. Basically they keep really good track of the residents. The activities are good. The food is fabulous. And ultimately my loved one is doing really well there. Also, they have a low vision group and some related equipment, which is great if your loved one has vision problems.

The staff have been very helpful. They've listened to everything we've had to say and all the questions we've had for them. They've done the things that they could to get our loved one involved. She's actually eating, which is great because she was hardly eating when she was living alone. So the food must be pretty good. I would recommend New Horizons to other families.

hi, New Horizons staff is helpful and dedicated to making things right. I have found they listen to you and do their best to make it right. The community offers many activities and trips so one can choose whichever is of interest. In the 420 building there were many occasions to talk with and meet other independents. I have since moved the newly opened villas because this apt included a patio. So, there is much for anyone to do or participate in. Also, perspective residents usually talk with another resident to answer questions by a non staff person. this was a great choice for me. thank you for your help, [name removed]

New Horizons is a beautiful facility. It is spacious and always seems to be well run. It is always clean and airy here. The staff is very communicative and pleasant. The other residents here are a joy also.

It is restricted, as to who can apply, you have to live in a particular town or have family in the town. It's subsidized by a family foundation. They had good food. They really aren't set up for assisted living, more independant. They aren't set up to accommodate wheelchairs. The people were friendly.

New Horizons is a beautiful, first rate facility. It is beautifully maintained and provides a wide range of activities. Staff appear to be universally motivated to make this a wonderful home for my mother. Transition was difficult for her. The transitional services did not live up to advance billing. Meals are well prepared and portions are exemplary. This setting provides significant socialization. Table assignments are made for residents. It is important for the resident to have an assignment that is socially beneficial. The rooms are extraordinary. Her apartment is a source of great pride for her.

This was one of the places we looked at when we were looking for care for Mom. I had to start looking for options on very short notice, and I appreciated that they were able to get me in for a tour so quick. The administrator was friendly and helpful during our tour. The rooms were very large, and nice looking, as was the facility itself. I was not thrilled about the very large deposit that the community wanted, and that was one of the reasons I ended up selecting another community.

Staff is great. Food is good. There are activities and outings that anyone could enjoy. Overall I would recommend it highly.

I like that they have helpers. They walk around in red shirts and help if people get lost or need help with their tech or any other small thing. I wish they had online billing. You can pay online, but all communication is through the post mail. I wish there was more digital support.

I would recommend their memory care.

There seems to be not enough staff for [name removed]. The aids don't come at the appointed time consistently. The red shirts are amazing, the dinner staff is amazing, the front door staff is amazing so pretty much. It's a great place I would recommend it.

It is a nice, well kept facility with friendly staff and good meals, a good value. They were sub contracting care to [removed], which was poor. They have since switched providers. Sadly my father died at the end of September so I can not comment on the new care provider [name removed].
