My personal observations are that the staff doesn't communicate well as to the needs of some of the patients. My wife used hearing aids and the medical staff didn't know she needed help putting them in and taking them out. When I first brought them in they were stored in a medical room. I had to tell the person in charge of the wing where they were being stored and no one got them to her. [name removed]suffered a fall and had to be hospitalized. She got 6 stitches on the side of her head. No one knows why she fell and the hospital only treated her injury without looking into the cause. Two days later the nurse at Delaney said she wasn't doing well and sent her back to the hospital. She was seen in the emergency department and later transferred to the ICU. I was told she was transferred and she wasn't doing good. I got there and was told she was going downhill. An hour later the nurse came in and told me her tests came back and they didn't think she would make it through the night. She died within a couple of hours. Someone dropped the ball and I don't know if it was the nurse at Delaney or the hospital. Overall not a positive experience. [name removed] lasted four weeks after placing her in Delaney. I'm not trying to point a finger at anyone. It just wasn't a good experience overall.

Bellingham is clean and the staff is friendly. My mother has been enjoying the food and has met a few friends. The PT and OT have been more than helpful with whatever we need. [name removed] is the best!

Mom loves it there. Admin did everything to have us move in and r always trying to help. Family was told rent was fixed and inclusive of her care on memory care unless her care needs changed. But their annual time period is [date removed]. So after only being there from [date removed] WEEKS the rent increased $[fee removed]! Corporate would not negotiate this with the executive director. Corporate also let go the Associate executive director position and the memory care director left only to eventually hire a nurse who was excited to get the position but left after two weeks. So there r issues administratively and remember this is a BUSINESS.$$$ The staff and residents LOVE my mom She's able to still remember things enough to tell me if there's a problem so I can advocate for her. But even though I was told rent was a fixed rate there R added costs for her care that Delaney doesn't do. PLEASE get a copy of the resident agreement and read it thoroughly! Massachusetts has no rent cap!!!

The independent living apartments are clean and nice. Residents seem to like living there. We were attracted to them because of the location and price.

Can't rate quality of care as I have not needed care. The meals could be better and more serving staff would help as there are mistakes made with orders. Yes, I would make the same choice again and would recommend to others.

The staff are so friendly. I manage a visit maybe every 4 - 6 weeks and they always remember my name! Mom has made some friends and enjoys the card games. Her days have so much more human interaction than when she was living alone. Love that!

I was at clarendale for respite. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Two areas that probably need attention would be the food, although they did hire a new chef and the meals were improving. And I feel there could have been more activities.

The most outstanding feature of Sedgebrook is the 72 acre campus.

The staff is caring and very friendly. The food is good and there is a nice variety. It can be difficult to reach the nurse's station via phone. The facility is clean and the apartments are roomy and bright.

We chose Clarendale at Bellevue Place because the facility was very clean and bright and the price was more affordable for what you got. My mother says the kitchen is always short staffed. Complains about the food not being hot enough.

Dad has generally been happy, he gets a little frustrated with meals. Food never seems to be hot, often has to send back, and they tend to do a lot of ethnic themes he's not familiar or comfortable with. They've also cut back on things that were included when he moved in, like Happy Hour in the SkyBar, carpet cleaning, etc. As with so many places, paying more for less. [fee removed] for a glass of beer for a resident is ridiculous. They have a wonderful on site nurse in IL, [name removed] has been extremely helpful in helping Dad find care and assisting with several long term issues

My husband seems to be happy. There is no perfect place. The food is ok, but service is VERY very slow and portion size has been too small on occasion. The nurses are good, keep you informed. It is a clean place, no odors. Plenty of activities

Lots of staff turnover with aides, which does seem to be improving. They have been working to get rid of agency aides. Nurses are good to very good. We'd be willing to pay more to get better food with a better variety. Hard to know about value as we have no other experience with any other facilities.

After a rocky start for the first few weeks, my mother has done very well at Rose Senior Living for the past two months. Most of the staff and the other patients (in Memory Care) are very nice and helpful. The food is good and the facility is kept very clean. There are a handful of staff members who are less helpful than others, but most are very good.

Overall our experience has been good. The physical plant is well maintained. There is a perception of a lot of staff turnover, but that is not unusual. My parents say the menu could have more variety. They've established an Assisted Living Council, so they feel they have a forum for expressing their feedback

Only issues I have with this place - the different shifts of care workers don't always pass along definite care issues I need done for my mom everyday single day and on weekends Communications between the shifts need improving They also have too many people quitting too often and new people being trained to take over which makes it hard to learn my moms care needs.

Our issue are mainly they are very slot of help which is not our problem mainly assistance with help in morning and evening getting hassle calling and no one comes.

Positives: The professional staff is very friendly and capable: the physical therapists, the exercise teachers, the EMTs, the buildings and grounds, and ---mostly---the front desk people. The medical staff has not been as friendly: we did not have a good experience with the post-op rehab division, [name removed] ., the medical staff at Sedgebrook has seen a lot of turnover and isn't as accessible as we'd like. My mom has never been a joiner so she hasn't partaken in any of the many programs that are offered--they looked great to us, but she won't participate. The food hasn't been good, according to my mom, 4-5 days a week. It's institutional food. We ate Thanksgiving dinner there last year and I'd have to agree--it wasn't very good at all. The grounds are beautiful--it's like an arboretum, and the building itself is well-maintained although I think the hallway carpeting is much in need of an update. Much praise to Sedgebrook at Home-- they have provided her with wonderful drivers once-a-week, a consistent person, very kind. The cleaning staff is overall good-- a few are outstanding, some are just adequate.

The staff are great, friendly have been helpful. However they don't have a lot of staff so there's a lot of things that haven't happened for my dad that we've had to talk to them about quite a few times so, communication. According to my dad, the food it's OK but always cold . When we got him moved in I thought he would have some sort of orientation to the facility and he should have but he didn't so he didn't know what he was getting for his money and that took a good month and a half to figure that out where he was satisfied with the answer, he's happy there, but he says it's all show behind the scenes doesn't run that smoothly I guess.

I met initially with [name removed],and then [name removed]regarding my mother Akiko's admission. this was a difficult decision to make for my mom. the Heritage facility appearance was a perfect fit as my mother does not know about senior living options and the appearance was more like a very nice hotel and it did not cause her much anxiety. [name removed] comes from a small town and nursing homes are all she knows and also that they are often for end of life. since moving in she is always up and participating in bingo, movies, games, happy hours/football Sunday, shopping, and going out for lunch, and dining with her group. she has learned a lot being with other residents and is more adjusted to what is now and making the best of her life. this is a stark contrast from being home and not doing very much. thanks so much to[names removed] and all the staff at Heritage Assisted Living.
