My loved one's and I toured Brighton Gardens and thought it was a very nice place. The tour guide was friendly and able to answer all of our questions.

My sister toured Brighton Gardens, and I think we walked away with the impression that they are very professional. It was a good experience to tour.

I have no complaints about the tour I had of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to provide us with lots of great information as well as answer questions we had for them in detail. The property was clean and nicely maintained which I was impressed with. It just did not fit in my mothers budget the way we needed it too.

When I toured Sunrise of Clayton, I thought it was a pretty nice place. The person that took me around was friendly and knowledgeable, It was a good tour, but just not what I was looking for.

My aunt is starting to settle in, the first few weeks were rough with the adjustment period, but it is getting better. We took her some stuff from her home so it can help her feel comfortable. I would recommend this community because it has been a good experience for us so far.

The staff seems a little understaffed especially at night. The staff that is there are doing well with taking care of his needs. There is a physical therapy company in house. They do not seem to encourage the residents to participate in the daily activities and trips out. They offer restaurant style dining. The food is great and they offer a lot of choices. I am able to do my loved one's laundry at the community. They have walking paths. The area he is in now is clean. I was not impressed with the memory care unit as it did not seem clean and it smells of urine.

I had a very nice tour of this community. I toured it for my mother, and her needs. My tour went well, everyone was very kind. The community looked good. From what I saw everything was clean. The staff was nice, and courtesy. It was a pleasant experience.

Brighton Gardens seemed like a nice clean community. The people that we met during our tour were nice. This is a larger community and we did not feel this would work for our loved one.

Very comfortable setting, and clean. Rooms where nice size. [Removed] was very nice.

I toured Brighton Gardens when looking for my parents. It was a beautiful facility. I felt it wouldn't be a good fit for my parents because the apartment was smaller and didn't offer a kitchen.

This community was not for us due to the form of payment of Medicaid waiver. The staff was nice and the community was clean and taken care of. The menu seemed appealing. They do offer activities for the residents to participate. I would recommend families tour this community for care for a loved one.

Everything is working out pretty well with my fathers move to this community He still adjusting, but I know he is in a good place. They have a good staff, and they are very attentive, and kind. Overall I'am pleased with his move to this community, and I would recommend it.

"So far things are going ok. The care staff seems to care about the residents, however I don't think there are enough of them. I like that my mother can have her own furniture and TV and it keeps her from being in the wheelchair all of the time. I suspect the caregivers are underpaid and they are the ones who do all of the work.

My tour of the Sunrise on Clayton went well, but it was not what we were looking for. The place was nice, but I did not see as many smiling faces as I would like. At the community I chose, there are residents that have moved from this one and are much happier now. Not the right fit for my father.

Our loved one moved to Brighton Gardens of Washington Twp. within the past month. When visiting various communities, Brighton Gardens stood out because of the friendliness and "can do" attitude of the staff, the various tiers of assisted living available, the choices of foods at mealtimes, the location of the available apartments, the number and timing of activities, and the facility's condition and brightness. Keeping in mind the short length of time our loved one has lived there, we are pleased overall with the care and concern. There are a few small issues and one not-so-small issue that we are addressing; we understand that "kinks" have to be worked out in any new living situation. Time will tell how these issues are remedied. Also, there is a lengthy Personal Profile that is completed by or for every new resident which is intended to help staff get to know him or her better. At this point, it appears that only upper staff have reviewed this profile; the floor staff seem unaware of it. The cost is not cheap, yet it's not the most expensive, given that costs increase as the "tier" need increases. I would place the general costs within upper mid-range of similar tiered AL communities. The cost of medication management and delivery is very high, although thus far it has been given correctly and on a timely basis. It is difficult to hire and keep good care staff; Brighton Gardens is no exception. We have witnessed staff who need additional training and supervision, but also staff who go out of their way to smile and talk, and who understand the "big picture" of senior living. It would be nice if all care staff spoke more loudly and directly to our elders, and waited a moment to make sure their words are understood. Again, overall we are happy with our choice and understand that nothing is perfect. However, it's how the imperfections are rectified that will maintain our and our loved one's happiness.

A very, comfortable, homey residential space with a roaming dog and cat adding to the neighborhood community feel of this location. A limited number of beds makes it feel more intimate. All staff seemed pleasant, helpful and accommodating to the residents. Dining, activity and shared spaces were clean and welcoming. Rooms were cozy and didn't have the hotel-like hallways. Talked to one resident who was complimentary of the care, management and food. We left with a box of fresh baked cookies from the chef.

A good community for my aunt. They offer alot of activities for her to enjoy. The value is good for the great care. The food seems to be good and my aunt enjoys the meals that are served. A very clean environment inside and on the outside. A few times there was a lack of communication with the staff. I would recommend this community for anyone seeking good care for a loved one or family member.

Overall our experience with Brighton Gardens of Westlake was a good one. It is a nice looking place, the people are friendly, and we are satisfied with the services that they provide.

The staff is friendly and shows concern about the needs of the residents. Of the four facilities I reviewed, this one has the most homelike environment which played a major role in the selection. The facility could improve by providing more detail before/during Move-in about the operations without having to ask or finding out later (e.g., 3 different sign-in/out logs, handling of medicine administration, invoice processing (providing sample), etc.). Bottom line, there should be a structured orientation to ensure all areas are covered. Corporation wise, the contract has errors which should be corrected.

Well my loved one seems to be really happy over there at the Brighton Gardens of Westlake. My loved one has been gaining some weight while he is there too, so I think that it was a good choice for a facility.
