This is a nice community. The atmosphere is like being at home.A very clean community with excellent staff. I did like the staff who were very nice, but I knew my mom would like the new environment and not older. The rooms were not the size that my mom would of been comfortable in. The activities would of been good for my mom here. The menu seemed appealing here. I would recommend the care and value here for other families.

The care is going fine and like most places there are some issues but they are taking good care of my mom. They have been real good to straighten things out. They are honest and willing to work with me. The medication aids people really care about her. We had to do something fast and we appreciate the help very much from A Place For Mom.

Moving my husband from one community to Sodalis Buda has been quite an experience for all of us. The place itself is very nice, a Grade A community for sure! Most of the time he is very happy there and the food is absolutely amazing. The staff have been very great and the CEO is currently trying to help resolve an issue that is current to him being at the community or having to move him. Since there are times that he doesn't understand why he has to be there he attempts to come home. The most recent incident happened a few nights ago when there was a full moon and most of the residents were suffering from sun downers. Since it was such a hectic time for the staff my husband cleverly left the place due to a faulty door. He was gone from 9-1AM and the cops are the ones who found him. I am hoping he will get to stay now that the door is fixed but we'll see what happens. Overall, the place is outstanding my husband is just eager to be home in those times of sun downing.

Met with Exec Dir and really liked the responses we received to all questions. The Studio is a bit small and the 1BR a bit too large. But this one is on the list of possibilities.

Overall I think things have gone well at Brookdale Shadow Hills. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and the facility itself is well kept and clean for the most part. We did have a few maintenance issues when we moved our loved one in. The air conditioner in her room did not work, and there were a few little things like loose baseboards that needed to be fixed. They had all that cleared up within a few days, however!

We were not able to place my father at Sodalis in Garden Ridge since this location is merely an assisted living facility. They suggested their memory care facility in New Braunfels which we decided was a perfect fit for my father. Sodalis Elder Living in New Braunfels is quaint and cozy. There are 32 residents divided between two houses and the rooms are just the right size for people who get lost and confused. The staff is friendly and attentive. My dad has been living at Sodalis Elder Living for one month and even though he is going through transitional changes, he is adjusting quite well.

They are very friendly. They do a pretty good job, but sometimes I think they could do a little better with the care services. I like everything about it, the food is good, the service is good most of the time. They are going through a rough spell and it's been pretty rough lately with the staff not knowing what is going on and not knowing what they're supposed to. That's just been recent, not ongoing. I think that made it easy to transition is that I sold my house so I couldn't go back and I'm trying to make the best of what is here. It's a good place to be. If I can't be in my house, I am happy being here.

I love the staff they are very friendly. He eats there all the time, when I've eaten there it's been great. I would give the food a four. There are a couple of things I keep hearing: the temperature is either very warm or very cold, the controls are locked in the halls and it heats and cools three residents' rooms, so it would be helpful if each room has it's own control, also when they bring the medication, they don't always replenish the cart of what he has for the day, so they don't give it to him. I did hear that they have a new medication aide. They are very friendly people, but I don't feel like they are on top of it, they don't tell me until he runs out. Sometimes when he pushes the button they will take 20 minutes, not always, but sometimes. It is pretty clean, and cheerful, and I like his room, it's kind of cozy, it's been updated, and isn't depressing.

It was really good. Cottage Village was my second choice but the location, compared to my office and home, was not as conducive or convenient as another place. I really like Tanya, the woman I dealt with. She was really really helpful and helpful with no strings attached. They also have a lot of the cooks that came from Furrs Pie Kitchen when it closed down. That was something that I think my dad would have liked.

I was very pleased. They took very good care of my husband. It's all expensive but they were very nice. I didn't have any complaints at all. The staff was extremely friendly and watched after their residents. I was most impressed with that.

I have no complaints of how things went for my loved one at this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought they had a nice floor plan with a lot of great amenities available for all of the residents It was just not the right fit in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone.

Very glad to be out of SH. If you are mobile and self sufficient you can tolerate it. Otherwise, very little care and attention. Very sad. I would not recommend it at all.

They know their business but they need more staff. The room was horribly cold with no way to get more heat. They let my husband fall the first night he was there and had a serious head injury. Getting back and forth from a ER visit is a major problem unless you live in Amarillo.

I have had two friends who have moved there mothers to different locations; all of the other places are to far or down town. I have some down sides and I have some up sides. We would rather not move her if possible. She hates change, and she has had some difficulty adjusting to this move. Hate to move her again. Yes, I would recommend it because it is better than so many other places.

Nice apartments and grounds but overpriced for the services provided. The staff is friendly. We were told light housekeeping was included.(including taking the trash out, changing sheets.) That is not the case. And the "light housekeeping " is swiping a cloth across the kitchen counters, and sweeping the kitchen. The food is unacceptable. They had said with unassisted living they could take her to store , Dr, etc. But they can't since she needs assistance exiting the van.

I have had to ask them to clean the room and also give my husband a shower. They have also changed some meds without telling me. I am here 90% of the time and do most of his care. I feel like there should be a credit on his bill for that. They do let me eat and sleep here for no charge. I Am either sleeping in a recliner or on a flour mat.

Our family had an in person tour and our tour guide was very informative, professional and prepared. They had excellent control over their protocols and testing everyone who came in. However the facility itself was not appealing. It was a shared room and shower situation, it just like we were renting a room and nothing very personal.
