Caring Places Management

I've always talked up Artesian Place and recommended it. It's a terrific place. One of the biggest reasons why I chose it was because it was clean, and it didn't smell like some of these types of places can. Not having gone inside any further than the lobby since the Fall, the lobby area is always clean and refreshed and kept up-to-date. I noticed new chairs and flower pots, which I was pleased with. They are off the scale for friendliness. My family members have never been healthier. Artesian place helps them with showering, administers all their medication, and all that good stuff. The staff laugh with us, and I always experience happy people there. These people are amazing. The woman running the place has never not been available to me. She always takes my calls, and she's called me with any concerns she's had. She can be gruff, but she's aware of everything and knows what's going on. She gets things done. The staff is always cheerful, and we laugh a lot. The head maintenance man is on top of everything and knows everything as well. He's never once complained about any heavy item I've asked for help with in getting to my loved ones' room. He's just terrific. I wish I could tip them! But it's against policy. I've tried the food, and we tried it at all places we looked at. I'm a foodie, and found the food to be pleasant - not too salty, and the meals were balanced. The residents can also get whatever they want, whenever they want it. My family members don't really participate in the activities, but I do know they're offering some. I've seen people working on puzzles. The only issue I've had is that my family members' care level increased, and so did the cost. And Artesian Place didn't let me know. The first I knew of it was when my loved ones' checkbook wasn't balancing. It just would have been nice to have a heads up. I looked into how much it would be for them to go into nursing home care, and even with the cost increase, Artesian Place is still a great value. It's such a convenient location as well, just down the street from all their medical care.

I could not be more pleased than we are at Awbrey Place. They did just recently change administration and I have not met them yet, but the old administration was great. Even with covid going on they are keeping residents busy, last summer they had outdoor concerts and they had animals come to the parking lot for residents to come out and pet, etc. I have eaten here a few times and the food is great, they are chef prepared meals. When my mothers came here she head chef came in and sat down asking what her likes/dislikes were and took notes so she could make her things she enjoys. It is a smaller facility with under 50 people so there is a lot of 1 on 1 attention. They are an amazing place and do so much for their residents and treat them like family.

I would tell others to check out Artesian Place. They do take medicare as payment. The willingness to work with us for our loved one's placement is something that stands out to me. The staff are always great to deal with over the phone.

We think they go absolutely above and beyond the care and needs for their residents. For example our loved one has dementia and for her birthday we wanted to bring in cheesecake to celebrate and the community to it upon themselves to make the cheesecake for us and through a little party. Even the lunch lady when she sees our loved one coming into the dining room always waves to her. They are just very caring.

I chose this community because is was for my husband and his sister already lived there as well. I liked the cleanliness and friendliness. I liked the way the staff cared for the residents. The rooms were very nice and clean and was the whole facility. The caregivers were friendly and helpful. Overall, the food was good. I thought they did a really good of preparing the food and serving it in an attractive manner. I absolutely would recommend this community without a doubt.

They are so patient with father in law. The caregivers are very caring. They try to keep us in loop and have good communication. We looked at several places and chose this community because the price was so much better than other places and it was near my father in law's home neighborhood, The have been very accommodating with his foods requests and take his feedback into consideration. The community is located in a rural area.

The staff and just as important, the people living there seem to be quite friendly and had a lot in common with [name removed]. The staff was friendly and professional and he is moving in after Christmas. Remind me in six months and I can be more definitive but it looks like a good fit.

Very much liked the feel of the place. Secure. Small. Convient for me, not as much for my brother. cat ok. Nice center outside courtyard. Nice rooms

From the time I walked in I was amazed. [name removed] (LPN)aka [name removed] gave me a tour of the Memory Care. This place is awesome. Everything was clean and the atmosphere made you feel at home. Her staff are very nice and professional. The grounds are beautiful and the people staying there are happy. We are moving my dad in next week.

Everyone was very kind and helpful. The residents were doing activities when I visited.

This is an amazing place to be. Your moms, dads, or grandparents couldnt be happier anywhere else. Management is kind and steps in when someone has to call out, the employees are helpful and always ready to help, and the food is amazing. I couldnt possibly ask for more.

Awbrey Place, a home for seniors like no other! The administrative staff cares about each and every one of the people placed here, mostly by their families. The can feel confident that mom or dad will be properly cared for in any situation. The aides treat each resident like family and assist them professionally where needed. The kitchen staff prepares the meals and is helpful if extra food is needed for later at night. Awbrey Place is not just a business but a place where the residents know that the staff members really care about each of them. The love goes both ways! I have lived here for a year, and can't imagine living anywhere else.

I came to Awbrey Place 23 months ago after surgery and a stroke. The first 6 months I needed care with my daily activities and a little over a year for pharmacy care. Since then I have been self-sufficient. No matter the requirement I needed the staff were kind and efficient. I was also accepted and made friends easily. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for senior care.

Awbrey Place is the best place (assisted living) in Bend, OR. I've been here for 3 years and love it. It is a small home 40-46 residents, so it is easy to get to know folks. We have very caring staff and have a lot of activities, lots of entertainment. Everyone seems to get along together. Our home is the best of the best.

Mom has only been here for 6 days but I have spent a lot of time with her while she is adjusting and can say I feel she in in the perfect community. Residents I have talked to are happy, the staff friendly and taking good care of Mom. I am so happy with our choice.

Mom moved into Awbrey Place in [date removed], much to her dismay. It was really tough on her having to move out of her own home and into her own "apartment" 120 miles away. The entire staff and several residents went out of their way to make her feel welcome. In [date removed], she finally settled into her new home and now absolutely loves living at Awbrey Place. Through this whole process the Staff supported us and were very reassuring that this was "normal" for a number of residents to go through. Yes, there were some staff challenges - it's hard to find employees in Bend, much less the kind of people who have the patience and understanding when dealing with our parents as they transition and live in an assisted living facility. But the Staff at Awbrey Place are kind, caring, considerate and compassionate. We love that fact that Awbrey Place is a smaller facility and that they bring a variety of entertainment for the residents -- from the kids coming into read to a resident once a week to Friday afternoon happy hour with music. We love the fact that Mom is being looked after in a loving and caring manner. We feel that Awbrey Place provides great value for the money. If we were looking for an assisted living facility today - we would choose Awbrey Place in a heart beat!

My mom was only there for a few days prior to hospitalization and then her passing. However, for the short time that she was there she was treated like family and we were impressed with the love and care that we saw. The staff was amazing not only to her mom but to us and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home for mom or dad. I've Lived at Laurel Place for a year now and have very much enjoyed it. Whether you need a lot of help or are still independent Laurel Place is a great place to live. The staff have become great friends of mine.
