I liked this place when we had the tour. I thought they were a good community. We had a good lunch with them and it came down to my mom. It was based on how they interacted with her. It would have been a good pick and I saw nothing jarring. It just wasn't the right fit for her.

This community was walking distance from me, which I liked most about it. On my tour I got to see an outdoor walkway for all the residents. Everyone in the community was welcoming, even the residents had a chat with us. The staff are so helpful and informative. The community was very clean and maintained. This community was my 1st choice for my mom.

It has been a very good experience in this community. We are very pleased and my mother is happy. The community is very clean and well-kept. The staff has been very welcoming and helpful. She is trying some new activities. She enjoys the meals, the food is nice. Overall it has been a good experience. I would recommend it.

It's a fabulous facility. We were so fortunate that we were able to find this place for my aunt. We can't believe the Posada existed. You can't beat the price you pay here anywhere else.

I think that they do a very good job. My mother who lives there really loves the food. She says it is fabulous, and that has not been her view other other places she has stayed out. I do feel that the staff might be a little overworked and under-trained. I am taking that from what I hear from her, not what I have observed myself. Everybody has been very helpful and accommodating any time I have needed anything.

Mom is in the assisted living facility. She is fitting in very well with the staff and residents. She says she is getting the very best care there. The director Donna has been very informative and helpful. I am glad this was one place that was recommended to us.

Really close and familiar. Across the street from the library mom and dad would go to. Busy street (Capitol Hwy. Smaller facility--nicely maintained. Some units look more like apts (have their own outside door.)

When we started it was way better. The prices went up and quality went down. I would advise families to balance their expectations in what a small staff community can deliver. Most of the residents are challenged with small kind of memory loss, and it is hard to to care for residents who have lost their capabilities and memory I think the staff were exemplary when we started but the staff are under amazing pressure and it has effected the care.

I toured this community and the layout was odd to me. It was a very nice place, just not what I was looking for. The bathroom was down a long hallway, a pretty long distance away from the rooms.

Overall it is a nice place. The people here are friendly. It is a very clean community. The staff changes a lot. I don't believe they have enough help community wide to assist the residents. There are times it takes awhile for the staff to respond to the call buttons after the residents push them. The food is good, but it arrives cold. There are three meals served a day to the residents. There is supposed to be a menu for the residents to choose from, and there are times my loved one requests to have a specific menu item removed from the plate, the item will still end up on the plate when it is delivered to my loved one. I have tried to talk to management about the concerns I have and there has been no follow through on the requests.

Overall, it has been a hard adjustment. When we were looking at communities, we looked at six, and we felt that this was the best and most affordable place we could find. They offer a lot of activities, but she chooses not to participate in them. She says that the food is really good. There has been a lot of staff turnover, but the staff are very friendly. The cleaning staff scrubs the toilet with a brush and them used the same brush to scrub her tub, so, she has been upset about that.

Pricey for minimal services provided-memory care and asst living folks are defeated, memory care folks have NO outings outside facility, indoor activities are minimal. Not really memory care more similar to a nursing home. Pass.

This community was undergoing some remodeling when we visited. It was hard to get a good feel for this community due to this. The people I met were nice and it looked like they were trying to keep it clean.

We have not had the best experience, it seems like it is one thing after the other happening. My loved one has had to quarantine quite a bit since she has been here due to other residents testing positive. One of the reasons why I wanted her to move was so that she could socialize, but that is not happening. They had to relocate her into another room while they were doing some remodeling and they have still not moved her back into her initial room. The support staff are great. The administrative staff were very courteous in the beginning, but now it is hard to reach anyone with questions or concerns we are having.

In the entryway are two very soiled and stained chairs, that appear to be that way for a LONG time, and it's the only place you can sit. If this is the first impression you want to show people, that says everything about the attention to detail. Staff and management were coughing with residents and prospective clients without masks. Staff are expected to work 12-hour shifts, and limited staff. Frequently staff cannot get another person to cover, so frequently come in sick!! Staff had to sign in on the minute and out on the minute. They could not sign in a minute early and stand by the time clock. This says a lot about the company's focus, it is not on the client. It is money. The outrageous fee to open an application, of [amount removed] NON-Refundable is TOTALLY outrageous! Their costs are high and from what I saw the care does NOT match the cost.

We had our mother here for several months. I would NOT recommend this place under the current management. All they care about is filling rooms/money - this is evident by them not spending money on caregivers when they need to, in order to fulfill the needs of the residents; which means the caregiving we experienced was horrible in the last few months we were at Markham. We watched the facility steadily go down hill. I will say that there are a handful of staff that are caring wonderful people, but are being pushed out by the terrible management! It's such a shame. The GM may seem nice and that she cares - but beware. Stay away from Leisure Care.
