Avalon Memory Care

Thank you to all the staff at Avalon Memory Care for taking such great care of my mom. I know she is very happy there, and she really enjoys each day. She always says this is my home. She has no words to express her happiness. Being far away, I feel that joy in her voice, each time we talk. I am glad my mom is at Avalon Memory Care.

The love, care, dedication and high level of care Avalon Memory Care has afforded to my relative is exceptional. It's been a long time since I have been able to be so at peace knowing my relative's care is not lacking in any way. It is truly a great facility!

This facility far exceeds the care of her former facility from washing her clothes every day to her whirlpool baths to the in-house hair salon. The caregiver's special care and their great staff have made my mother flourish. They really understand the needs of the elderly and have dedicated their lives to doing so. One visit is all you will need to know this is the place to care for your elderly relative.

This was an absolutely wonderful and perfect place for my grandma. I can't express how appreciative my whole family is for the heartfelt care, and the incredible staff, the care gave my dear grandma. God Bless all at Avalon Memory Care who were caring for my mother-in-law, we appreciate all of you, and we will have all of you in our prayers.

I have a family member living in Avalon Memory Care. The facility is clean and the staff is helpful to the residents and visitors. They have activities that are age appropriate. I highly recommend this place.

The service and care at Avalon Memory Care are top quality. Very professional. Attentive to your needs. It is run by caring individuals who do all that they can to accommodate and ensure everyone is comfortable and happy.

A special thank you to the supervisory staff, aides, housekeeping staff, food services, maintenance, and pharmaceutical staff for assisting dad with all his needs. Dad had extremely poor eyesight and hearing and he was accommodated very well. He was treated like family by his co-residents and staff and was very comfortable at home at Avalon Memory Care.

Avalon Memory Care has a great facility that has a homelike feel. They put their resources into having a lot of staff per resident, which is what my mom needs. Since being here my Mom gained weight and has adopted a routine that really improves her quality of life.

We are delighted with the facility of Avalon Memory Care. We just placed Grandma in a room with them and couldn't be happier. It is clean and well-lit, and everyone greets us, down to the folks who clean up. The staff has been very helpful in this time with us as we were divided as a family as to how to make the transition. They are caring and knowledgeable about all aspects of the transfer, especially since the five of us kids were not in agreement with one another. Their activities are well done and helpful to the residents. Their policies helped to create an atmosphere that was the most accommodating, even as Grandma did not initially want to go. She is finding them caring and dedicated. When there is a concern, they respond immediately to us. They make every effort to help us feel comfortable with her being there.

I came to visit a family member who recently moved in, and I was really impressed! The staff is accommodating and loving I couldn't get enough. I really love the way they encourage residents to do activities. I didn't see a single person sitting around. I am so happy my aunt decided to move here. Thank you to everyone at Avalon Memory Care for all you do!

When the time came that my dad could not be cared for safely at home, I had the difficult job of finding the right place for him. I visited several care homes and as soon as I found Avalon Memory Care I knew this was it. Dad has lived here now for 4 years and I don't know where I'd be without them. They are like family and they treat my dad as family. He is safe, his medications are managed and he is surrounded by a stimulating environment. I visit as often as I can.

After considering other assisted living facilities, we moved our 93-year-old parent to Avalon Memory Care. [names removed] and all of the staff are so warm and caring. They are well-trained and friendly, particularly the front desk which keeps track of residents and visitors. The large living room on the first floor near the dining room and cafe is ideal because it feels like people are busy living. The beautiful backyard is welcoming. They really encourage families to visit by planning family-friendly events.

The decision one makes to remove a loved one from a safe, controlled environment at home and into a new and strange one is a tough decision to make. It is also, frequently, done at a desperate time. We are extremely grateful for the gentle, thoughtful, and proactive care Avalon has given my father during his time with them as well as the friendship and love that the staff also generously extended to our family.

I cannot say enough good things about the fabulous staff and amenities at Avalon. They have many activities to keep seniors busy and connected if they so desire. The staff and caretakers there are exceptional in every way. My mother lived there for almost 4 years, until her recent death. I will miss the staff at Avalon Memory Care as they became extended family members. They treated my parents and us like family.

I couldn't found a better place for my dad. They were kind and loving to him always. His needs were taken of completely during his time there. I could not recommend them any more highly! This was a great place!

My father was happy and always well-kept and clean and most of all safe. All the employees were happy doing their jobs with purpose. They engaged with dad and made him laugh. I witnessed them always being kind and gentle and patient. In addition, Dad was well fed with their deliciously prepared food.

My grandmother spent her final days at Avalon and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to care for her. The caregivers are attentive and kind, and many of them have been with Avalon for years. If you are looking for a place to love on you and your family in a season that is inevitably difficult, Avalon is a wonderful choice.

We placed our mother in Avalon Memory Care last year because she had developed a neurodegenerative disorder with severe cognitive impairments. Before that, we had been taking care of her at home with 24-hour assistance from caregivers. Much to our surprise, Mom appears happier now here than she had been at home, probably largely because of the increased stimulation she is receiving from other residents and staff, as well as the various scheduled activities. Meticulously clean, and tastefully decorated, and unlike many assisted living facilities I've visited, does not smell. The meals are healthy, and the residents always look forward to them. We have never witnessed anything but the best care.

My mom recently passed after spending 6 years at Avalon Memory Care at McKinney Ranch, McKinney, TX. The folks at Avalon have always been wonderful to my mom. She was in a safe and loving environment. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone.
