They addressed any concerns that we had respectfully and quickly. The activities were not bad. My mother in law just didn't like doing them. The food, not sure how they could improve, but it didn't look appealing.

They were extremely helpful in quickly registering my brother in law who needed a place immediately and they were within his budget. I would recommend to others.

At Oakwood Village the memory care workers have a special gift dealing with their patients. Some dementia patients get mean with their mouths at times but the workers continue loving them daily. I like how the workers will fill us in on what's going on with our loved one whether it's good or bad. We were told by a nursing home staff that my MIL could never go into an assisted living. Was she ever wrong! In my opinion Oakwood Village is MUCH BETTER than a nursing home...happier workers at Oakwood Village who really care....the cost of assisted living is half the price of a nursing home (with better care).. I was very pleased with them. They are not perfect but worked out so much better than her previous place. She had dementia and didn't join in a lot of the activities. I felt the respected mom as a person. Didn't push her or demand her to do things. So there were no fights w mom, which happened at the previous place.

What I like the most about this community is the different activities they have for the residents to participate in. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Lafreniere Assisted Living and Memory Care community to other families.

Very friendly, great physical facility. Security seemed lax. I came and left many times without signing in.

It is conveniently located, work with you, affordable, very nice atrium, staff helpful, rooms ok.

When it comes to the cleanliness of the community the floors aren't always clean and the meals aren't always prepared on time. Lately, there seems to be a high turnover rate with the staff. Several residents have left the facility.

I would say it's a good facility for people who don't need upscale or elaborate/fancy. The atrium is a nice touch inside. There are quite a few activities for residents. They have taken good care of mom. The caregivers & managers are nice.

My mother is currently a resident at Holly Court Assisted Living and Memory Care and things have been very good for her at this facility so far. I would recommend Holly Court Assisted Living and Memory Care to others.

I've only had mom in another community. Holly Court seems to be better able to handle her Dementia. The caregivers apparently are better trained. They are up and around, sit with mom in the common areas. ( Mom has fallen previously... before Holly Court ) So they are involved to keep mom from falling. Making sure she uses her walker. The other community made us get sitters around the clock to keep her from falling.

The staff and residents are very nice and they would be happy with Oakwood Village. It's a place I would recommend to others. We picked this community, because of the friendliness of staf and cost.

The Marketing and Admitting Staff were very helpful during the initial contact, admission process, and ongoing. The administration and nursing staff have been responsive and professional.

My loved one has been happy with Holly Court. From what I have heard, she says she likes the food, the room is beautiful, facility itself is nice etc. She is paying extra for some extra care. Staff are responsive and always sending me notices on what is going on within the facility. Overall it has been a positive experience.

The community, worked well with having my love one adjusted to the new lifestyle. I would like to see more staff added.

Overall we are very happy! The apartment is dated however my mother in law doesn't cook or anything so it's not an issue. That's the reason I gave 4 instead of 5, staff is very attentive and friendly and always call us if there is an issue. Very happy we made the move. My mother-in-law was hesitant to move because she felt she was fine in a apartment by herself however we noticed she just sat and watched tv and had no interaction besides us. Moving her to Lafreinere has been such a blessing! She is safe in her own apartment but just outside her door trained personnel are there if she needs anything. She has adjusted now and is participating in the events and games they offer and we are resting easy knowing she is in a safe environment!

My complaints may be just related to me and our situation, they are specifically assisted living and my loved one has some dementia. They are not credited for memory care, so they do not provide additional care for people who they have like my loved one. They expect residents to be a little more independent than my loved one is, even though they claim to handle that care. I saw something recently that the residents do and they are still having problems with cold food. Overall we have not been very happy with the experience so far.
