American House

Our family is having such a great experience with American House, it has been night and day in comparison to our loved ones previous community. The previous community lost multiple items and clothing that we never got back and that has not been an issue at American House. The staff just follow our loved one around everywhere and they always bring her along with them. They provide such great care and based on our experience so far we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

The building is getting a total makeover and looks fabulous! The staff are all very caring and go the extra mile. Food is great and the location on Gunbarrel is very convenient, especially its proximity to doctors offices and a good hospital.

I was able to visit this community about 3 months ago and help a family member who has been the primary caregiver for her husband with advanced dementia explore options in North KC. The staff I interacted with were kind and helpful. They had just finished an activity with a live musician in the memory care section which was nice to see. You could tell the CNA’s truly cared and wanted to help the residents. As we walked through the community I didn’t see residents alone in their rooms as they were out and interacting which was a good sign. The hallways and room sizes were nice and spacious. I feel this would be a good future option for our loved one.

My loved one is having a great time with the activities. We picked this community because, it was close to family and {name was removed} was super helpful. The food needs to improve, so more vegtables would be nice. It's always super clean.

I was the first resident to move in, and I couldn't have made a better decision. Been here for 5 years and have loved every year of it. I've made so many friends. I look back and think of the day when we sold our home and were waiting for this building to open. We couldn't wait!

So far it seems to be a great place, especially compared to another place we experienced before. I like that it's a smaller community where the staff is more attentive to the patients.

I went to Anthology to check out for a possible place for my mother. I was impressed with the facility and the staff. It was very clean and well maintained. Also, I liked that I felt no pressure at all to put my mother there. The facility spoke for itself by how it was maintained!

This facility was amazing. The employees were friendly, informative and helpful. The facility was modern, clean and comfortable. The dining room was delightful. I would recommend this facility to anyone!

My Mom has been at Anthology for two years now and when we ask her how she likes it she is always happy to tell me that this is her home and that she loves her friends. She always tells me that the staff has always been very good to her. She lives all in he activities that go on every day! I feel that they have always kept in contact with me whenever needed which makes me feel very comfortable with her care. When we were looking for a home there was no question of Anthology being the best place for her. I believe her attitude and health have improved since she has been there. The Medical staff has always been very responsive to her. Thanks again for making my Mom’s life so much better .

My parents and I visited Anthology of Burlington Creek. The atmosphere is very welcoming, employees are friendly and genuinely care about the residents. The rooms are very nice and spacious. Residents can be as private or as social as they desire. We were very impressed with all the amenities of this facility!!! I would highly recommend this beautiful facility!

Our family had an in person tour and it was a great tour experience everyone we met with and everything we say were very nice

It has been very nice for my loved one so far. It is quiet and the food is good. They clean her apartment every week and pick up the trash twice a week. The apartment is very nice - wood floors except for the bedroom. We picked this community because it is close to my home, and my loved one likes it.

We are very very happy with our experience at American House Keene. My youngest son went in to visit and he has been in a number of these facilities. He said that it is a shame that not every place is like this. He was blown away by how comfortable everyone seemed and how friendly and happy the residents were. I would highly recommend this facility to others and already have.

I moved into American House a year ago. During this time I experienced life changing events. I could not have made it thru many dark days if it had not been for the amazing staff and residents at American House. I am not in a HOUSE, but a loving and supporting HOME!!!!

I saw many options before we moved mom into AH.. We could not have been happier. She is in independent living, but we are happy there is the ability to move her to assisted living or memory care if that option is needed.She has a beautiful 1 bed apt. It overlooks the lovely gardens and pool. She gets housekeeping svcs, and handyman svcs as needed. The common areas are gorgeous and well maintained. On-site svcs, such as medical care, PT, salon, entertainment, group activities, etc are outstanding. Mom raves about the food and says she has a hard time choosing between the various options. There are also multiple opportunities to participate in off site activities..The staff members are friendly and pleasant. But also very experienced and professional. Also, Mom had to ‘stay here during the latest hurricane warning. She said the experience was perfect. The staff was very prepared for any eventuality and was very organized in handling it all.

This is my moms “home” she is so happy here , she has friends , activities , good food , and especially for me , a staff that cares so much about her and wanting to make sure she is happy . I felt so comfortable knowing through this latest hurricane, how much they did to shelter in place and keep the residents busy , fed and anything else to keep there minds off of the situation . No need to be nervous, staff was there ready to help ! I would not choose any other place for my mom to call “ home “ and I know from my heart she would say exactly the same thing !

There are a number of such facilities in this community. Many of my friends also in retirement chose other communities. I was drawn to this one because it is a newly constructed facility with modern electricity, plumbing, etc. It is also in the next to least evacuation area E, which proved to be a big advantage with the recent hurricane Ian. They were well prepared for the storm with food and employees. There is an electrical generator to provide uninterrupted electrical service. We had occasional interruptions in WiFi but standard cable TV was always available. Management is unobtrusive and friendly. The residents represent a broad spectrum of professional and geographical diversity. It is very pleasant to meet so many of them at dinner, and dining companions often change since there is random seating. The location is perfect for close shopping. In searching for something negative to say, the only thing I can come up with is that I don't like the SOFT water. I can live with that.

We searched and toured many Assisted Living Facilities for our loved one. We are so happy to have chosen American House! The facility is modern, clean and smells good too! The staff and community are friendly and very helpful. They have many daily activities to choose from and the food is excellent. It’s been a year now and our loved one is very happy and content. We highly recommend this facility!

Anthology of Wildwood is an exceptional community with such caring staff who are always willing to go above and beyond for their residents and families. It truly feels like a family environment filled with kindness, love and lots of fun.
