They just had a staff turnover of administrators. The aides are the same. Most of them are good and caring some are ok. The head lpn on the memory care side lacks compassion and is rude to some, not everyone...

I had recently taken a tour of this community and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the floor layout and thought they had a nice selection of amenities for the residents that where there. It was just no the right fit for us location wise in the end decision.

Brookdale Walnut, formerly Emeritus at Colima- I would rate as fair overall. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful, the most important consideration. The restaurant-style dining still needs much improvement - cleanliness, menu choices availability and staffing. Adequate staffing for residents is needed. The apartments are nicely laid out with an enjoyable courtyard with water feature. The studio apartments are a good size. The acitivities provided could use a bit more variety than mostly bingos. Hope these recommendations help to make it a nicer place.

The location/setting is very nice. The place is well-maintained inside and out the staff for the most part are quite gracious. The food could be better. They just turned over chefs, so perhaps it may improve. In case you didn't know, the director was replaced last December.

Food is just okay and costs $[removed]/meal as food is not included in rent. Rents are high. Upon leaving the facility, walk-thru staff said we might have to pay for entire new flooring because of a couple scratches. Ridiculous.

What we really like about Waterside Landing is that its clean, it is a good neighborhood and the physical therapy is really good over there. However some of the aids are disrespectful and others are fantastic. There is an inconsistency with the aids and they do not have a timely response when the residents need assistance. Upper management does not communicate well with each other and they do not communicate very well with the residents on how things are supposed to go

Really liked but studio is too small & expensive for what you get. Further than I want to go. But would recommend if you could afford a 1 bedroom.

Mother was satisfied. Difficult communication as staff don’t return calls. Billing issues with frequent changes in staff. Quickly, moved to memory care without exploring other options. Developed COVID and was unable to recover and return.

We visited this facility. It looks nice. However, there are very few Chinese-speaking staff to meet our needs.

Facility was clean and decent. Disappointed that when we called they had openings, but when we arrived 20 minutes later they had no rooms available. It was "waiting list only". Nonetheless, the room fee plus the care level fees were extremely HIGH in comparison to other similar facilities in nearby cities.

I chose this facility for myself because I liked the location. I wanted to be closer to my family. When I first moved in, it felt like it wasn’t operating at full speed. The staff members here are friendly but I think they could use some more training. The building itself is pretty well kept and clean. As for the food, they’re trying. Most of the time it’s good and they listen to what you tell them and what you don’t like. They are making some changed with the menu which will make an improvement. I would recommend this facility to other families.

We are still adjusting with my fathers move to this community. He is doing well, but there is some things they promised, and they did not follow through with. I was told they were able to provide a higher level of care, but we had to hire an extra aid to help my father with some extra things. This is a nice community, they do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. He is pleased with the meals. I would suggest that you do a lot of research on the type of community you want for your love one. It is still a work in progress for us in this community, but I would recommend it.

I like to say that I love this place because it has a home feeling to however the food isn't all that good . The sell was that they'll cook "anything " you want is false. The dinner staff gets a 1 and a half. One employee is rude and doesn't listen to the request of some of the residents. I sat at a table with a man named [Removed] and he ask the server for ice cream and he waited over 25 minutes for it.There were 3 servers and about 15 residents; I think it can be better. For the prices we pay the food selection should be better . Activities are half hearted at best. I guess since most of these people aren't cognitive they don't seem to care.

My mother and my daughter toured Brookdale together and they did not like it. The tour guide, I do not remember his name, was very pushy., Also, the facility had a bad smell, and it was not what my mother was looking for.

My sister is doing well overall here at this community, but there are some improvements that could be made. I would say the studio apartment they show you, and the one you move into are not the same. My sisters apartment is a bit small, and has a stove that does not work. I have suggested that they remove the stove to make it a more usable area. Also when they spray for bugs, they should do the surrounding areas not just one room. This is an older building, so there is some updating that needs to be done.

I gave A Place For Mom a budget of $1850 and they referred me to this community. They did not have anything in that amount and was a problem. The community told me the rates go up next year and we just got here in September. I had to pay a community fee that was $1,500. It seems super corporate with no personal attention. My mom is safe and in a clean community. I liked the sized and seeming more developed. The care part for me needs more focus with attention.

This is a nice community. Very clean facility inside and on the outside. The staff needs to be more helpful in a few areas. Good food is offered with a good variety. Activities are offered to help keep active. A costly expenses ,but the staff really needs to give my mom some more personal care for what we are paying for.
