Wingate Senior Living

I'd like to qualify my opinions/experience rated earlier by saying this is based on the memory care unit, I can't speak about the assisted living side, nonetheless , I feel they are valid, maybe more so. Communication needs improvement. Activities staff is above par Nursing seems to be lagging. Messages don't always get to whom they are intended. All in all, I wish I had chosen a different facility

Getting started with wellness was a lot of miscommunications. We are set up now and love the Nurse practitioners and PT people. The place is very clean. They also clean his room often and change sheets. Everyone is so welcoming. From cleaning staff, PT restaurant staff. They all say how fun my dad is. Now that it is set up care is great. But messy in the beginning they were calling the wrong people, not updated care plan.... once it was sorted out great. Admin was very communicative while making a decision then I feel like we needed an orientation or something. It was a huge learning curve to find who to speak to about what. They love it the meals and dining. I love the soup! They enjoy activities and staff knocks on the door to get them. The value comes from my dad being happy there and family gas piece of mind. If there could be a better reason for a 10 I would like to know it. I just think they should have an orientation for loved ones with wellness so communication lines can be set. And maybe review after a month once we understand needs

Nothing is perfect, and that is the reason for the 4.5s. They do a phenomenal job in making sure residents eat and are accounted for at every meal time There is nothing really that they could improve on, and we would absolutely recommend Wingate Residences to other families.

The most significant consideration was geographic location. The resident, my father, was already residing in a senior living facility, called [faculty removed]. Wingate and Wingate have building adjacent to each other connected and by a covered hallway. His current partner remains in [faculty removed], and it's possible for them to stay in contact, have dinner, visit one another, by having my father live in Wingate

Our one disappointing is the quality, and variety, of the food. We have dined there with mom quite a few times, and we would call it slightly better than cafeteria, or institutional food. That's the only reason for the lower overall score and value for the price. The grounds and facility are beautiful. They have a great patio area with walking trails and flower gardens. A very popular bistro that serves pastries and coffee during the day. A couple of very nice public sitting areas. So all in all, it is a nice community. We just wish they would up their food service game.

We chose The Inn at Silver Lake because of the location, price and the cleanliness. Staff is very pleasant and helpful if needed. I would recommend The Inn at Silver Lake to others looking.

BEAUTIFUL grounds, very helpful pleasant staff We only looked at studio room which we find adequate. Mom is so busy socializing with other residents and staff she barely spends any time in her room.

We are very happy with Wingate. The staff members make a point of knowing everyone's name immediately on arrival, which is really comforting. The activities are great, varied and interesting. The meals are good but could use a bit of an update. Fresh vegetables and grains for example. It's been a very positive experience and my mother is happy.

I would say that the staff was very caring but could be more attentive. I picked the place because it was close to my house and my mother liked it the best after touring a few facilities. I would recommend.

Very clean. Variety of daily activities. Residents seem happy and are friendly. The pool is a big feature for my mother. The head nurse has been very helpful. It's only been a couple of months so we are still getting adjusted. I do wish they provided an adjustment guide sort of thing or checked in with you about your experience as you are adjusting and learning. Once we filed out the contract and moved in no one from the front office has checked with us regarding our experience so far.

Staff very approachable and available for family concerns. Brochure says 90 min of assisted living staff but that is not always the case. Will come when called. Do clean each week and for a fee will do laundry. The place is clean and bright. Activities available each day or weekly.

The facility is great looking and very clean Seems like there is a lot for the residents to do The dining room is nice but they need to revamp their food

Beautiful facility; Director of the Neighborhood, [name removed], is very attentive and accommodating; fun activities offered; quality care, although the staff is extremely busy; mediocre food. Overall very satisfied with our choice to move our mom into the locked unit over a year ago. She is very comfortable and happy with her room and has adjusted to the routine of her day. I would recommend this facility for anyone needing the care offered.

This was a nice community and our second choice. It was further from friends and family than we wanted for our loved one.

We picked this community because, they had a special wing for dementia care support, and offered special activities geared towards people with dementia. Also, the staff to resident ratio was smaller, and they had extra amenties, which was a more reasonable rate than other places. They were a more open and brighter community.

Our tour at Wingate Residences at Haverhill was fine. They were in the running for the final three when it came time to make our decision. We decided on another facility that was just head and shoulders above all the others we looked at.

It has been a difficult transition for our loved one but the director [name removed] has just been so incredible to our family and [name removed] who works up at the front desk is outstanding. The dining experience is great the girls working there serving the meals are wonderful but the food is just a little so so. Our loved one has not taken advantage of the activities as of yet but they have so many different things for the residents to do there.

The Inn at Silver Lake was our second choice, the location was perfect and the outside campus was beautiful. The lady who was showing us around the facility was great and so responsive to any questions that we had. The building was not as nice and new as another place we were looking into, and that is ultimately what it came down to.

We had a very good tour at Wingate Residences, but it just wasn’t for us. The apartments were too small.

Wingate Residences is a beautiful facility and our loved ones apartment is a very good size that is clean, and well appointed.
