We lived there for several years. In the beginning it was great, except for the office help, they were rude to the renters, even more to the older ones. As time went on, and apartments were getting hard to rent, management would run specials. All of a sudden things changed, we were having people move in and out, once the special ran out they afford to live there, some of the people moving in couldn't even take care of themselves, they had no family, management didn't want to be bothered, so many times it was left up to us to try to help out... management has "Happy-Hour" on Friday ... they supply beer, wine and snacks... so many of the residents were on medications and had no business drinking... management said it was a 2-glass, 2-beer rule... well once they left residents did what they wanted... yes, they were of legal age, .. [removed] He had tried to become "friendly" with several women, it took almost a year to get him out of the building. We were very glad the day we left... the place is NOT worth the money you pay for it!

I was a tennant at 4250 Southwinds Pl, [removed] fot 7ys and 10 months. When I moved in the rent was $[removed]/mo. Including water. When I moved out the rent had increased to $[removed] plus water which was $[removed]/mo. That's an increase of more than $[removed]/mo. They refunded $[removed] of my $[removed] security deposit. Allegedly, $[removed] was charged for cleaning windows, blinds, bathrooms, ceiling fans, floors, baseboards, refrigerator, stove, microwave and kitchen counters. Before I moved out I vacuumed all carpets and baseboards. I cleaned both ceiling fans and ascertained that no damage to the apartment had been done. This was a total rip off. This company is totally unethical. The apartment I rented is now being advertised to rent for $[removed]/mo. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

Moved in with amenities which owner SABA has taken away. Has nothing to do with Covid. They are getting new move ins with summer Specials. Then when lease renewal comes, rent is raised $250 per month with fewer services. Would never have moved in knowing what we know now.

At the beginning of the pandemic, management sent Southwinds Elderly written threatening correspondence that said (1) If you contract Covid 19, you must move off the premises of Southwinds and quarantine at another location; (2) If you contract Covid 19, you had to tell the Southwinds' staff that you had Covid 19 and then quarantine off the premises. Difficult to get repairs. Made nine requests before old broken washing machine that spilled water on the floor and damaged my belongings was finally replaced by an old dirty washer. Elder had to run onto broken elevator that could have crushed, maimed, or killed them. Bullet was fired into an elder resident's apartment. Parking is difficult, and there is no security. Think twice before moving into Southwinds in White Plains, Maryland.

My mother lives there . everything they tell you is a lie to get you in there. The rent goes up every year. Everything in the kitchen is junk. Anything you ask them to do they take forever to do It. Management is not worth the pay they get. Never around. cheap paint on the walls and cheap carpet.
