Moved to Luther Manor Apartments when my husband was ill and our home was too much to care for. We had excellent support there - from therapy, meals, assistance with rides, cleaning services, and support from the staff and fellow apartment clients. We both enjoyed and appreciated our time there.

I find the facility as close to home as can be. We have outings in the community Dubuque Iowa, as well as times for current events, laughing at ourself & sharing a good joke. Friday afternoons are always great during happy hour & a snack, it's just like going out on a Friday nite. We also have painting activity, an exercise activity, and nursing availability to check concerns. I feel safe and confident at all times and growing older with grace and purpose. Garages and beauty salon are great.

I have been a resident of the apartments for almost 21 years. There have been many changes these years. For the most part my experience has been good - & by living here I am enjoying COMMUNITY, in a way that I would not have done had I remained alone in our house. Also, I would not have been able to handle maintenance on my house alone after my husband's death. I did have a traumatic experience with interim maintenance several years ago, coincidental with the receivership period, but I am pleased with the present staff in all areas. In particular, we are now blessed with a bus chauffeur who is top notch, caring, jovial, very accommodating & makes living in this facility a joy & a pleasure for those who no longer drive. Our present apartment manager is also a great asset. I have appreciated having physical therapy available in the building. Food service over the years but meals presently are acceptable for the most part. Our new ownership is doing well with improvements.

I was a volunteer at Luther Manor since it opened in 1969, so I knew this was where I would end up living out my days - in Luther Manor Apts. I became a widow suddenly at age 62. Enjoyed living in a condo for 13 years, but felt it was time to move here. Like the fellowship of the others. Don’t drive, so appreciate the van rides provided. I am blessed with pretty good health. Good staff mostly and thankful for help when needed.

I have a 2 room apartment with a kitchen. I eat the noon meal that is provided. I do my own laundry with the provided equipment. Our mail is delivered to a box like in a post office inside the building. Mail pickup is also inside the building. The staff is friendly and helpful. I feel the rent amount is reasonable for my apartment.
