While looking day and night for a place for my mother, I had some difficult times with the places offered in my area. The cleanliness, organization, staffing, room completion, and overall running of the buildings. Thats all something I realized I needed to look harder for so my mother could be happy. That’s when I came across Herion club at prestancia, the experience was beyond all of my expectations and all boxes were checked, the rooms were clean and complete, the building was clean, the staff was amazing and very kind and helpful. [name removed] is the person I liked the most as she was an absolutely positive and problem solving team leader. I appreciate the building and all that they stand for.

The first thing I noticed was the presentation of the grounds. It was very well kept and inviting. Upon entering the building I was pleased to see staff being kind to not only residents but to each other. They seemed to get along like friends truly do and that makes for a great atmosphere. It was clear their leader, [name removed] was supportive, dedicated, and driven to success.

I toured this space recently for my mom and the staff was so nice. [ name removed]at the front desk was very welcoming and the facility was very clean. The residents were eating lunch which looked like a good meal and some of them were playing games at their tables. Staff was walking around throughout the visit which was also reassuring.

The Canopy has a particular staff member that my mom has grown very attached to. Her name is [name removed] and she is the activities director and she is simply amazing. She genuinely cares for all the residents and has so much passion for what she does. When she walks in the room the residents faces light up. They truly enjoy the time they spend with her and she enjoys the time she spends with them. She’s so thoughtful and kindhearted and makes each of them feel special. My mom truly misses her when she has her days off. Other staff members that have been amazing are [names removed]. It helps knowing that these amazing staff members not only care for my mom but look out for her when I can’t be there. I know she is loved at the Canopy and she loves living there. The atmosphere is very family-like, as if they are like an extended family. I’m so glad I moved mom here.

As a frequent visitor to a friend in memory care at Heron Club, I want to give a shout-out to the facility's receptionist, [name removed]. From my perspective, she is the linchpin there. Beyond normal office duties, Bridget assists everyone--visitors, residents, and employees--with a myriad of problems, needs, and questions. She responds appropriately and kindly to memory care residents, even when busy with other responsibilities. [name removed] is the facility's memory bank, having been there longer than most. Her experience enables her to excel at handling a varied workload and a very diverse group of people.

I am in this Community weekly and have had the best experience with everyone. The staff and residents are always cheerful and engaged. They genuinely care about the residents and their wellbeing. The new Executive Director is committed to seeing the community grow and residents enjoy this beautiful stage of their lives.

My dad is currently a resident at Canopy at Walden Woods. It is a Clean facility, well maintained, great activities and the food is delicious… but what makes this place is the staff! So kind, caring and welcoming… they truly make it feel like home! I am especially grateful to [name removed], the Activities Director, [name removed], the receptionist, [name removed], who is one of the nursing aids… and to [name removed] and [name removed], the kitchen staff. They are like angels and go out of their way to make each resident feel loved. The only suggestion I would make is to have more staff at night. [name removed], the receptionist, would make an excellent staff member to be available 24/7… as sort of a “House Mother”… because she is very mature and the residents love and trust her… and she would be extremely helpful if needed at night! Other than that, I give Canopy five stars!

What we like the most about Heron Club at Prestancia are the staff members there, they are great and they really do a great job. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

Walden Woods now has in house care with [name removed], which makes it very easy for me. My mom is moving from out of state and does not have a local doctor. [name removed] made it easy for me. Beautiful community, all the amenities we are looking for, and doctors in house. Thank you Walden for making a hard process as easy, and seamless as possible

The building is extremely clean and staff is very welcoming. Residents were out enjoying a cup of coffee from the coffee bar or some were participating in Bingo in the activity room. Nice home like feel.

This was my 2nd tour at Walden and met the new team! It was amazing. What a difference. From the Sales person Rachel, all the way up to the Executive Director, [name removed]! The residents were happy and engaged. The food smelled so good and The feel of the building is totally different and uplifting. I’m happy I gave it a second chance, you should too! Great job Walden and keep up the good work!

When it comes to the meals and dining service I have not been there for meals so I cannot answer this. For the activities, our loved one is in memory care and I have not been there for the activities. Based on my experience with the memory care unit, yes, I would recommend Creekside on Whipps Mill Road.

Great folks at Vitality Living Upland Park. There are some growing pains that the facility is going through right now, but things are getting better. I have a duplex. It is nice size for the money. You can't beat it. It is not in the main building. It is in the active 55+ cottage. Amenities offered to residents are good.

I was looking for a place for my sister who has some special needs. The wonderful people at Sunflower Springs Trinity were glad to take on the challenges she has, had planning meetings with the staff so they would be prepared, and welcomed her with open arms --literally, they rolled out a red carpet on her arrival. The move-in was seamless, as they helped me coordinate with a designer who took care of everything, right down to the art on the walls. My sister is extremely happy, LOVES the food, feels included in everything yet free to make her own choices. She is as busy as she wants to be and has made so many new friends, both with the residents and the staff. There was a slight problem with communication, but a brief conversation with the Resident Care Coordinator assured me that they had already identified the hiccup and had rectified the situation so that it would not happen again. Staff turnover is low as far as I can see, which tells me that the folks who work there believe in their mission, care about the residents and are happy in their jobs. I would definitely recommend Sunflower Springs Trinity to others.

My mother is a resident at Harbison Shores. In the few months, she has been there the staff, especially management have been especially helpful in addressing her particular care and needs. Facility also does a wonderful job keeping residents with a variety of activities and outings.

5 for all, moms time there was short but we were very pleased with the place! I loved the location and the fact that this is an all memory care facility - it just felt right! The staff was so nice to us, mom was at a rough point but they were patient with her and us. The room was nice and spacious, we didn't do a lot there as mom passed after only a week and a half. She wasn't able to take advantage of activities much. She did enjoy a singer who came in while we were visiting.

All staff members we've seen interact with my mother- in- law have treated her kindly and - most importantly - with respect. The staff is always quick to answer our questions. The facility itself is clean, doesn't smell, is modern, and they have a lovely courtyard/garden area that my mother-in-law just loves. I would absolutely recommend The Colonnade at Carrollwood to others looking, they have been great and my mother-in-law is very happy here.

Overall the Sunflower Springs - Trinity community has been a good experience and the staff are all wonderful! However the areas they could improve on would be the the meals - they could include more fresh fruits and vegetables and serve less carbs to the residents.

If loved one is going into memory care ask what you can have in the room.

Our experience has been great. Would recommend to anyone. Great staff - they are all friendly and very helpful. My husband is very happy there. [Name removed], one of the supervisors, was so helpful with me doing all the paperwork and guiding me on the journey.
