The only bad part is the food. I wish they would please do something about the kitchen. A lot of times the food is cold, and it just looks and tastes disgusting, to the point that I'm having to bring my dad a lot of his meals. The atmosphere in the dining room is mostly assisted living people who are in really bad shape, which can be depressing for him since he's in independent living. He can opt to have food delivered to his room, but then it' s always so cold. He's not really interested in most of the activities. It would be nice if they offered more for people who are in less cognitive decline. But they have a beer tasting coming up soon, and that's the first thing he's ever possibly thought about going to. I believe they have new activities director, and this is one of the first things she put on the schedule. In general, it would be nice if independent and assisted living were more separate. They share all of the common spaces, and while I'm sure that has benefits for those who are in assisted living, it's not ideal for independent living. But the staff is really nice. And his apartment is set up nicely to accommodate mobility issues . The bathroom has a walk in shower with rails. Yet it looks nice and doesn't look like it's for old people. The housekeeping staff are really sweet. My dad really enjoys the woman who comes in and cleans. The staff in general are all very sweet. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that there's always somebody there that I can call to check on him if I'm ever worried or if he doesn't answer his phone, etc.

Can't even begin to thank this wonderful staff, from the director, marketing, med staff to the caregivers and everyone in between, for giving my granny her independence back and for being so kind and caring towards her. They really made her feel welcomed. This is a top notch community...head and shoulders above the others in the area. My grandmother loves all of the activities and has made new friends galore! Every time I see her she tells me how much she loves it there which is just music to my ears. To be honest I was really apprehensive about her going into assisted living but I know we made the right choice and I'm so glad we decided to move her there. Thank you to all the staff for everything you do because it's evident that it's from the heart.

Absolutely impressed with this place. Rooms are spacious, clean, great layout. Meals were impressive. Only negative is you pay an extra 300 a month to be on the bottom floor. I’d live her in a heartbeat.

My parents recently moved in, and the community is just wonderful: caring, conscientious, and the food and activities are great.

I would recommend the community highly. The community is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. My loved one loves it here. The staff is nice to my loved one. Some of the staff will wash my loved one's hair and polish their nails, going out of their way.

I would tell others that it is an excellent community. The staff are knowledgeable, and caring. The staff keep the families informed on their loved ones. If there is an issue, the staff call immediately and let the family know and handle the situation promptly.

I loved Greatwood and everything about it. As soon as i hâve my finances in order and sell my home I will ne moving to Greatwood. No more looking is necessary. Thank you for your assistance.

From what we have been able to see of the community it is very clean, and our loved one absolutely loves the meals they serve. They are doing the best they can with the activities during this past year they are keeping our loved one very engaged. We do feel when it comes to the value we are getting our money's worth for all the services and amenities they offer.

We did a virtual tour with the community and it was very good. The staff was very friendly and they provided lots of information. The community was very nice

This was the newest facility we saw. It was really pretty and very nice. I didn’t get to eat the food, but they had a lot more space here - bigger dining areas and recreation areas. When you walk into the lobby, it's really pretty. I met some of the people, and all of them seemed happy. The lady who took us on the tour was very helpful. She did a great job.

The team at Regal Estates was an absolute pleasure to work with. They come highly recommended in my book.

I would recommend this community to others

From our understanding our loved one really seems to be enjoying the meals, and we have heard they have great activities. The staff do a great job keeping in constant contact with the families.

My dad lived at the Pointe for about 2 1/2 years, and was treated very nicely and with great respect. He loved the food, staff and activities. He had three birthdays there, his 99th, 100th and 101st and the staff was wonderful at making all his birthdays very special. We feel extremely lucky to have found the Pointe for my father because, of course, he did not want to leave his home and move to an unfamiliar place. Because of the warm atmosphere and patient, friendly staff, it wasn’t long before he felt very comfortable. All I can say is “thank you” to the staff at The Pointe for making my Dad’s last few years comfortable, happy, and safe.

I feel the community had a good covid plan, they did have some cases but were able to keep the residence safe. They are willing to work with family members with any issues. I would definitely recommend this community to others. All the staff has been very easy to deal with even if we disagree we come to a solution.

In looking for a place for our sister/sister-in-law, we checked out many places. The first time we walked into the Pointe, we knew this was the place. It is a small, well run, very loving community. We had complete confidence that our loved one was being well cared for. Excellent staff that loves on their residents, they have many activities and fun things for the residents to do. The food is very good and presented well. They far exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for Assisted Living, etc. Cannot say enough good things about the Pointe in Cedar Park.

What we really enjoyed about The Pointe in Cedar Park was the smaller size of the facility, friendly and attentive management and level of quality of care by the caregivers. The smaller size allows for more time and personal attention, good size for activities and it felt more cozy like home. The rooms are a good size and you can decorate your front door area which is a very nice personal touch. The rooms have windows that face outside and you can get fresh air and natural light.

Overall it is a very good community, the one thing we did notice in the beginning was that they were not checking on her as frequently as they were saying, or cleaning her room as frequent. We spoke with the director and head nurse about this, and they are absolutely on top of everything now that we have established a routine. The staff members are really good we have had no problems with them The rooms are very nice, she has a lot of room. For the value it is well worth it, and they are really on top of calling us when it comes to our loved ones medication. She really enjoys the meals they serve, and she enjoys meeting other residents in the dining hall. What we do like about this place, is that they have two hour window time for breakfast lunch and dinner, and have snacks in between meal times.

We chose Garden Estates of Tyler because we liked the various options on the food menu. They have 2 specials everyday and if they didn't like what was served they always had another option. We also liked that residents went into the dining room and they tables had linen cloths and a menu so it was like going to a restaurant. The people that serve them are the nurses aids so it is people who work with them everyday. I really like the rooms, she is in a studio and it is very open. This facility has senior living and assisted. When they were allowed to go to lunch together they were able to mix and mingle, so it was like 2 communities in one. The staff have been accommodating and helpful. The director sends out emails once a week to update families on what is going on within the facility since we cannot go in. I would absolutely recommend.

We were very pleased with this community while our loved one was there. We had such a positive experience and we would recommend it to a friend. It was always spotless, and the staff was excellent under highly stressful conditions. They were very helpful and the care services were also excellent. We are with our loved one a couple of times and the meals and dining services was excellent, and the food was always prepared in an appetizing way. We also thought the value was reasonable.
