Was nice, but they could not live together in a one room apt. Mom would not be happy there.

Tour guide was very nice. She explained everything to me and answered all but two of my questions without me having to ask them. The only drawback was an odor in the hallway. It was early morning and there were what looked like soiled sheets in the hallway, so I have no question that will not be an issue on my next visit. Overall I loved the facility and staff. The residents looked well cared for and its quaint appeal would be perfect for mother.

The community is what my loved one was looking for in regards to the set up and apartment. The cleanliness isn't what my loved one expected. My loved one hasn't met the Executive Director yet. The food could be better; however, the community does provide snacks for my loved one.

Our family was able to have an in person tour, and we were very impressed with the place itself. However even though the tour guide was very nice, he did not seemed prepared to answer our basic questions. He also did not really put in an effort to find someone to answer those questions. The attitude seemed very lackadaisical for being the face of the community.

I don't think it is good enough. The food in the refrigerator has been in there for several months. The food is being delivered to the resident's rooms. They charge for everything. They raised the fees and rent several hundred dollars this year. I wish they had more staff on the third floor.

After moving in things started to go down hill. I'm not sure if this is due to a management change or change of ownership. I believe the community is doing the best they can. They recently hired a new chef for the community. The community also hired more housekeeping staff to assist with the residents. My loved ones recently had a increase in price for rent. The community has a self library. We went to eat several times with my loved ones, and it was very nice. The community doesn't enforce the mask mandate when going into the hallways for residents. The grounds are kept very nicely. My loved ones were able to get on the bottom floor, with a patio, and a doggie door to bring their dog with them. The community did transport the residents to the shopping centers and grocery stores prior to the pandemic.

My mother has been a resident at ParkPlace for almost 2 yrs. now. Before Covid I was able to be there several times a week and witness 1st hand the wonderful job the staff does caring for her and the other residents. Now...since COVID-19 restrictions prevent me from being with my Mom but the medical director [name removed] has taken measures to allow safe visit under strict guidelines resulting in NO COVID cases at a Park Place..all residents are safe and well cared for considering the challenges every day.

This facility would be a 5 star, IF, it can keep staff. Let me give you the positive. GREAT STAFF, personable, positive. However, they are greatly understaffed and over worked. One person per 100 people. 30-90 mins to answer an alert from patients. Laundry service is great, house keeping good when they can reach each room before starting over again. FOOD - poor, Chicken EVERY SINGLE DAY! I will they say they try to dress the chicken differently, but CHICKEN is still CHICKEN. While the facility is an older building, it is nice. Activities are good, residents appear to be happy.

I find that Desert Springs Senior Living does a very good job of meeting my needs. There are areas that could and should be better but I don't expect everything to be first rate at the price they charge. The maintenance is not very good, if something can be used it is not made to work as it should.

When I was searching for a home for my dad I couldn't have asked for a better caring facility. The staff at the facility were amazing and they made my dad feel loved. Each time he was taken to the hospital they welcomed him back and he really felt the love. The young people working there in the memory care facility where my dad lived worked hard and had patience. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in May. It was a really sad time for the family. The staff working in the memory care unit were great. The reason that I am not giving 5 stars is because after my dad passed, I did not receive a single call or note offering condolences from the management of the facility. I received calls and cards from everyone that handled his care including the VA Clinic and NOTHING from Desert View. I know it might not be important to some but to me it was. It is now three months later and I am able to write this review. Thanks!

The food looked good. Presented great. Staff friendly and showed compassion in dealing with my Mother.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. This community is okay but it was noticeably old. The building, rooms, and carpet all needed to be fixed up or replaced. It just looked in disrepair. This facility is a lot bigger as far as occupancy volume than other facilities. [Removed], the marketing director, was pretty good and he was willing to make some accommodations if we moved in. I recommend other families to take a look at this community.

My mother looked at Desert Springs while we were exploring different living options for her. It was a nice community, but it seemed a step down from some of the other places we visited, and overall, we just didn’t find that it felt as welcoming, accommodating, and comfortable as we would have liked.

The staff are very caring and friendly and tend to the needs of each and every resident; However, the food is subpar. We are having to bring food from home. Our mom, who has been there since April. Right now, the second time, there is no chef. She will only eat cottage cheese and fruit at dinner time. The rice is so dry she cannot eat it. The price we pay for her living here should include decent food. Breakfast is not, at times, what she orders. We are very pleased with all other aspects and would hate to depart because of the food.

I drove by this community and it looked nice. The people I spoke to over the phone were nice and knowledgable about the community. The community we chose was in a better location for us

The staff that helped me with my tour did a great job, they took their time showing me around and answering my questions. There were a lot of amenities for the residents but what I noticed was that my mother who was using a walker at the time would probably have trouble walking the long hallways so I did not feel that this would be the best fit for her.

I did not like Lexington Assisted Living when I toured. The rooms were extremely small, they were only about 200 feet which are the size of a large closet. Everyone there was nice, but it seemed like a place for people who needed a higher level of care than my father, so it was not going to be a good fit.

concern with troubles with lack of enough staff. Rooms are sometimes [Removed]. Breakfast in room is troublesome. A few times my mother did not get breakfast until she called to complain. Once she did not get her medication. Over all it is a great place.

This community is a little less expensive than the community we chose. They do not offer the same type of activities as the other community. The staff are nice. You get more of a hospital vibe from this community.

I like this community for the care of my mom.She really liked that staff that we very kind and helpful . The food seems to be good, but it is sometimes served and it seems to take a long time to get the meal. My mom did like the activities when she was there. We would recommend the care of this clean and care received to other families.
