Pleased with our experience

We chose Atria Kingwood because I liked the size of the facility, it is smaller. Also it had more of a homey type feeling as opposed to a medical facility feel. The room sizes are comparable to everything else that we had seen. My mom has been here about 4 months and she really likes it and her caregivers. The food is good and she enjoys that as well. They are doing a good job handling covid protocols and still keeping the residents safe and involved. I would recommend to others looking.

We did a virtual tour of this community and the tour was great. The staff was very friendly and they answered all of our questions. They had good follow-up and communication also.

Our tour experience

Atria was really great. I really, really liked it. The only reason we didn’t pursue it further is it was a bit too far away. But it's really nice there, like being in a fancy hotel.

A great community for a loved one

The one time we were able to visit the community is when we moved our loved one in and the place seemed fun, clean and nice. The staff members are perfect we have great communication with all of them and we are very happy with the care services. When it comes to the activities they do try their best to keep them busy and we think the value is worth it.

Good experience

We chose Atria Cypresswood because it was the nicest, the cleanest, and it looked more like a hotel rather than a nursing home like some we looked into. The room sizes here were spacious. We ate here quite often and the food was very good. I would recommend depending where your loved one is at. It would be great for assisted living.

Amazing Community

This is such a wonderful community. The executive director [name removed] believes in teamwork and it shows in the excellent care my mom receives. They truly go above and beyond. The activities director, [name removed], has done an exceptional job in keeping my mom active throughout COVID and I am truly thankful for this community and staff.

Happy Granddaughter

Our grandfather lives at this community and he is very happy there. The staff is great and very attentive. We chose this community after touring and saw so many other men in the community, we did not see this at any other community. He enjoys walking and really likes the park behind their property. We are all very happy that he is now home with other neighbors just down the hall. His meals are provided and activities are scheduled through out the day, he really likes the exercise classes

A great memory care

It is a great community. It is beautiful and the activities are wonderful. It is a smaller group so the staff can offer the residents more individualized time. There has been a lack of communication regarding our loved one running out of supplies and medications. They offer facetime with the residents due to COVID. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

A forgotten treasure

I'll make this very short and sweet. Caregiver ratio seems to be five to six residents per caregiver and that's not including the Medtech or the LPNs and the housekeeping staff. I have experienced the food that they cook daily, I believe it's very tasty compared to a few big named facilities i have been to. The residents seemed to be happy, they have activities every day (multiple times). They have vendors coming in doing music therapy, massage therapy, pt, and pet therapy on top of what they already do there. They have an on-site barber shop and Beauty Salon, so that's always a plus. Backyards are breathtaking and peaceful. The rooms are huge and they are private! They have half bathrooms in them all, and wood flooring so that's always a nice touch.

Confidence in care quality 100%

Every time I have walked into Barton House no matter the morning the evening or late at night, the staff is always friendly and prompt and they're always with a resident no matter what. The facility is always clean and there is no odd smells, either when you walk in or when you're walking around next to the residents rooms. My favorite feature of the facilities is the backyards. They are beautiful, especially when there is fireworks from McCormick Ranch going off. I can sit down and eat one out of the four home cooked meals with the staff or my family member free of charge. I love that!

Great place !!!!

First off my dad did not want to move from his residence but had to because of falling all the time. My mom is on the Life Guidence side of the facility in which she likes. They really have them some fun with [Removed].Dad has settled in but still wants to go home but he really likes it there cause he like to eat breakfast in his room. He likes his assigned seat at meals cause he has some things in common with the fellows he eats with. The facility it self is really beautiful and is kept up really good. The only draw back is I think they should have a weekend maintenance man. The director of sales is really a nice person who knows her product and presents it really well. We had looked at other facilities in the area but the Atria Kingwood was the best. Very friendly staff and will greet you and best of all you by name. I would recommend the Atria Kingwood to anyone who is looking for a place for their loved ones. You would really like it cause of the facility and the great staff that is there and pricing is really reasonable and it is easy to find. Thank all of you guys there. You are GREAT!!

Makes My Mom Feel Welcomed When There

My dad is doing very well here. The staff is wonderful they encourage him to eat at meal time and to join in some of the activities that they are doing sometimes they are successful and sometimes not but the fact they try is important to me. I can't say enough about how they treat my mom when she is there to visit dad. They have made her a parking space close to the door so she doesn' t have to walk too far. They encourage her to join in on meal time which most of the time she doesn't but appreciates the offer. The staff just makes her feel valued and welcomed

Best Assisted Living in Kingwood

Atria Kingwood is one of my favorite assisted living facilities in the area. Their staff is very friendly and engaged with the residents. They know every resident's name, family and life story. They are very good at keeping everyone active and social. The food is excellent, as well! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a social and active setting for seniors like no other.
