They were very attentive, very friendly. I called and talked to the director several times. They knew who you were, and who your loved one was. They knew the situation with the person being cared for. They had a good rapport with the hospital and the doctors. My loved one talked very highly of the food, and he enjoyed when they would sneak him an extra dessert sometimes. I'd give them a good score overall.

Overall, I rate them highly. They seem to have genuine compassion. It's a smaller place, a little more intimate. The living situation is a cottage feeling, which suits memory issues well. I haven't been able to be inside due to Covid, but the exterior seems to be maintained well, the building is in good shape, the parking lot is clean, and the landscape is tended to. From what I can tell, they're taking good care of my loved one. I would recommend them for sure.

Make sure you keep on top of everything and make sure medication is being distributed correctly and Drs. ordered are being followed. I would not recommend this community to others.

The community itself was very clean, and the care services were excellent. The activities were limited at the time our loved one was there due to covid but they did have music which was nice, we also thought the value was excellent.

This community has such caring people and they really took great care of my husband. When my husband was passing away this last week, they could not of done a better job. They were absolutely fantastic, and we would recommend this community to anybody. The administrator and nurses were wonderful, we really do not have any complaints to say.

Get here as fast as you can and get your name on the list. I have already recommended this facility to other folks. I would move in myself if I needed to. The food is wonderful and they offer a great variety. They will fix anything if you ask.

We looked at a couple of other facilities and my parents chose Country Cottage because they both liked it when we went on the tour and they felt the most comfortable here. Compared to other places we looked at, their room size is more than adequate. I would want others to know that one of the things we really like is they have a living room, bedroom, and full size kitchenette. In the bedroom and the living room they have two large windows, so they get a lot of natural light. I would recommend.

The feeling of people and skilled nurses around me make me feel safe. Better to be in a place like this than sitting alone at home.

My parents moved into Columbia Cottage, Florence, AL, on [date removed]. Mom was coming out of three months of rehab, was using a wheelchair to get around, and has some dementia. Dad is on a walker, and probably could have stayed in their home, but he wanted to be with Mom (probably due to their 71 years of marriage). This is honestly the best decision our family has ever made! Mom has thrived, now using a walker if she remembers it. She thinks she is truly the queen because everything is done for them - all she has to do is get out of her chair to go to the dining room for meals - and was so surprised when trays were delivered to their apartment when she was sick. They both love that they can get their hair done on site, without calling my sister for a ride. Both parents used to be "snackers", and we put the usual snacks in their apartment. However, because they are eating such good meals, and desserts, of course, the snacks remain untouched. We have caught them enjoying ice cream from the Country Kitchen more than once! When Dad had to be hospitalized and I came in from another state, staying in their home, Mom refused to come to the house, saying she was more comfortable in the apartment with the staff and other residents around. There could never be a greater compliment, in my eyes. "Thank you, Cottages" isn't enough for all they have done. And my sister and brother in law are so pleased with the Cottages, they are trying to get his Mom to move there, too.

Great place. They love their residents & several staff have been there for years, so you know they think of the place as home. Great management. They also go with your parent to dr appts. & they sit with them at the hospital till family arrives. That shows a lot of compassion. You can walk through their doors & tell that their residents feel at home. They are out & about.

I enjoy living here. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and the food is great.

My mom and dad were at this facility and dad passed shortly after moving here so Mom is just settling in now with a new routine. The faculty and care they have shown my parents are good. They will engage mom to join in the activities. She is meeting friends. They have 3 really good meals a day. She is in a 1 bdrm apartment and they will make her bed daily and they will wash the linens. They also clean 1x a week. The have a nice long porch with rocking chairs out there. I would recommend this community.

Plain View has excellent personal service. Everyone there is super friendly, and they seem like they care. The Director,[Removed] is a really nice guy, and so far, we've been very well satisfied. The food is really good too. It's more like home-grown food rather than hospital food. The community is also about 15 minutes away from our house, so it is very convenient to visit.

A Place for Mom was a godsend! Special thanks to [Removed] for being so helpful during a difficult time for me and my family. She directed me to a wonderful place that was affordable and fabulous. My mom is happy and I’m happy.

We like this community for good care for my mom. The staff is attentive and caring. The community is clean and I like knowing that it is maintained for my mom. The menu is average. They serve the bigger meals at lunch time and not dinner. They need more of a variety. They offer a lot of activities that she is enjoying. My mom likes the trips away from the community. They offer personal care for hair needs. My mom likes the movie nights and a lot of the card games. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.
