What we really like about Magnolia Manor is that the staff are relatively responsive and the community is used friendly. We have not had a meal there ourselves but our loved one seems satisfied. There are also extra curricular activities for our loved one that are not usually provided and that is their beauty and nail salon. What we think they could improve on or just maybe do, is the residents could get lonely at times being in a community and for families who aren't able to visit they could have support groups, or people from other communities come over and visit with the residents,

This is a good place. They have good nursing care here. I feel my loved one is in good hands. The nurses are watching my loved one carefully and has assisted the family in taking the pressure of care for our loved one off of the family. The staff communications is very good, and they are in contact with the family with questions or concerns. There are three meals a day served to the residents. The food appears to be good from what I have seen.

It is small, it's very accessible, and it's all on one floor. My mom is very happy there. Their activities is a downfall. They are working to improve it, but I haven't seen that quite yet as they don't have any activities.

Everyone was really friendly and accommodating, especially on the first day when he moved in. They gave us dollies and anything we needed to get his furniture moved in. His room was repainted and spotless within a day when we needed a quick turnaround on move-in. My loved one commented on how nice his nurses were. We did have communication problems with Angela, the head person. She wasn't really prompt about getting back to us, if she even did. They had lots of different activities if you chose to participate - things like church, singing, puzzles. Overall I would highly recommend it for elderly people, and maybe less so for special circumstances like ours with a much much younger loved one there for unconventional reasons. It was a very nice facility with no stereotypical odors and was kept very clean.

The staff at Country Cottage is absolutely great - they have been a pleasure to work with. We are very happy with our decision to move our loved one into this facility.

There are not too many activities because they are so busy. Overall, they offer good care.

Overall, its good. The facility is clean. The staff are attentive. Our complaints would be lack of staff. And the food is atrocious. That's not necessarily their fault. They lost their cook around the same time my loved one came in. But we're talking cold sandwiches, takeout pizza, and takeout breakfast. They've basically been piecing together meals since November. They have this elaborate menu on the wall that's very enticing and makes it look like people will be well fed. But that's not the case.

The facility and staff were ok, location is great.

Our family had an in person tour and we loved this community, the food is amazing, the staff was amazing and they activities were amazing, but no memory care unit which is what we wanted.

We liked Columbia Cottage, but they did not offer suites that had the living space and bedroom separated which is something we were looking for.

Right now, they're not communicating very well. They've had a changeover in ownership, and I know that change takes time. But when you're dealing with the elderly population, I feel like you need to be spot-on rather quickly to address the residents' needs. It's been 3-4 weeks now, and by this time I feel like I should be getting emails or something. My loved one can't remember everything there is to tell me. When they were The Blake, the staff were sending emails regularly, and the new ownership is not sending anything yet. That being said, I'm not moving her anytime soon. She likes it there a lot. It's very clean, and the staff seems to be very friendly. The current ownership just needs to communicate a little better.

This was a good community, not the right fit for my loved one.

The community doesn't do activities for the residents. The staff look after my loved one; however, the residents aren't as closely watched as I would have hoped. I would recommend you keep a close eye on your loved one if they are here.

They have kind staff and they are a clean community. The staff worked hard to make sure the resident felt comfortable. They couldn't provide adequate transportation to dialysis. Due to the pandemic they didn't have any activities going on. My loved one needed additional care and due to this my loved one moved out after a short amount of time.

The staff is very friendly and they do a great job. The community charges one fee for the room and service there is a la carte. I think the community could do a better job with the dietary requirement of its residence. I would definitely recommend this community to others

Every time we have been able to visited the community it has been clean, and the staff to patient ratio seems to be pretty even. Prior to COVID everything really did seem great. We would recommend this community to others

The community was great. I wish I placed my loved one here to start with. This had a home feeling, instead of like a hospital. The direct staff that assisted my loved one were wonderful. The food was enjoyed by my loved one, and they ate every meal.

I feel relaxed and secure here; there are always people and activity around me. The nurses are helpful.

The Dogwood was a lovely place. Everyone was friendly. The facility was clean. The halls were long. It would be a long walk from the new wing to the dining room.

High staff turnover. Activities often in another building. Mom complains food is bland. Long term homemakers are very good and extremely caring. I can’t say enough good things about people who devote their lives to caring for the elderly. I am able to sleep at night knowing my Mom is safe and her meds are managed.
