They are clean and friendly. There have been some security issues, and there is a lack of activities. They could probably use a little more staff. The immediate care seems to be good. The food is good.

Saw on Nov 10. New and pretty. Not a lot of out door space. Urban views.

They had a waiting list of 18 months because I needed a 2 bedroom. I wouldn't have surivived another 18 months and I think they were really expensive too.

At York Gardens you make a Care Plan for the services you want your loved ones to receive. We did that for our parents and the staff regularly skipped providing the services laid out in the plan because they were "too busy." My parents were left sitting in their easy chairs facing a wall after getting dressed in the morning until they were taken for mealtime and then returned to stare at the same wall until the next mealtime. The Care Plan specified the time and channel for staff to turn on the tv for my parents. The staff would wheel them in front of the tv and then wouldn't bother to turn it on. This past January they informed us they had a "new way of invoicing", it was actually a $40,000 a year rate hike, without adding any additional services. One of my loved ones had to be tested weekly to see if their medication needed adjustment, after leaving here we found out the tests were never performed. We had a horrible experience here and would not recommend this place to anybody.

Way to many problems. $1000 fee just to get in the apt. Ala cart services with rates that started high and just got higher. Some friendly, skilled and caring staff. But... mistakes on meds, poor housekeeping and no real follow through by supervisors has made this home a real test of our trust and confidence.

They really feel this option is a bit too high end for them, I'm still encouraging a visit, but I don't think they'll go for it.

Possible option and pricing is better, but I believe it is independent living only. The director contacted me.

At the time I visited all units were full including the "end of life" which I believe was 14 units. I was under the impression this property was directly on the creek...could see a scant view of it from the 4th floor. I also didn't like that it was located on such a busy street.

Talked to the director on 9/29. Private pay only. Studio $2750/$2900 starting. 1-bedroom $3350/$3460 starting. Continental breakfast, lunch & dinner served. Additional services separate. Unsure of option to move from assisted living to nursing care if needed.

Independent living at Loren on Park for seniors. Apartment also available to some younger tenants. Very nice place. Small but efficient. Activities offered and a multi purpose rooms for entertainment. I also toured their campus across the street. Ebenezer Towers facility has 23 flrs. Both places appeared clean and well maintained.

Private pay only. If after 2 yrs all assets have been used, would move resident into elderly waiver unit. Then cares and assistances would be covered by elderly waiver; resident would pay rent. Now it is $840/mo; could change in 2 yrs. Studio $3000/1-bedroom $3300 starting plus add'l care. All units have walk-in showers. 3 meals + 1 snack daily. On Tues and Thurs free van transportation for 4 hours.

The front desk staff is very unfriendly, during the week and the weekend person. They are very poorly managed. Food is horrible and expensive and small portions. When I've asked certain questions, no one seems to know the answers. Charged $60 for maintenance? What is that? No one can answer me.

When my parent needed a great deal of assistance after a surgery, aides were understaffed, running ragged and not providing satisfactory care. They charged thousands of dollars a month for this sub-par service so I moved my parent to a much better facility.

My dad was first in assisted living and then memory care. The assisted living facility was fine but the memory care was inadequate at best.

I cannot comment on the regular Assisted Living arrangements except to say the staff in that area seems better than who they staff in Memory Care. We have had a loved one in memory care for over a year now. The staff from Ebenezer for the most part is extremely unhelpful. Ignoring many residents, sitting around on their cell phones when they should be assisting residents. They few good staff they have had have left. You know it bad when those that are good tell you to get your loved one someplace that has adequate care. Loo elsewhere. Meal in Memory Care are very poor in quality, not at all what the regular residents get in the dining room.

Mom and I moved here in July 2020. All was really good with LifeSpark staff on-site. Now we have CareBuilders. The service is inconsistent or non existent. My Mom is 77 and I am 54. [name removed] the Director of Vernon Terrace is fully informed of the issues we’ve had and same with [name removed] the owner of CareBuilders. It’s a shame. If you need assisted living care, think twice. Otherwise the facility is nice and lots of activities if a resident wants to participate. Location is awesome. No doubt the Director will be upset with my post. I can only hope she doesn’t retaliate.
