Chateau Retirement

Chateau Valley Center is a hidden gem. I have worked in the senior living industry for 10 years. It is a quality community that is family-owned and operated. They offer longevity in their employees, reasonably priced apartment homes, fair care prices, and strive to ensure a quality lifestyle and support for each resident.

Food is great. Need more activities. The staff is great they learn names right away and warmly greet residents. Always receptive special requests or needs. The only thing that we wish they had was a bigger area for gardening for residents.

I would say the community is geared to lower cognitive functioning. It is not a good placement for healthy seniors with no memory issues.

If you’re new at this like I am I highly recommend this company to find that perfect place for your loved one. It’s hard to know exactly what to ask as you don’t know much about assisted living and the expenses until you go on a tour. Sometimes they don’t verbally tell you the overall costs which was how it went for me unfortunately. There’s not only care costs but also rent fees. I am glad I used A Place 4 Mom as it helped me navigate which location and facility was going to work best for my dad and his finances. And did you know you can write off the care expenses at tax time? Yes you can. Lots to know and learn to better assist your loved one. Never assume ask the questions.

My sister and I could not be more pleased with the care our parents have received while living at the Chateau at Valley Center. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile. The staff is amazing and truly care for the residents. The facilities are beautiful and always seasonally decorated. The food is truly delicious and the dining room staff spectacular. Our Dad needed assisted living services and the care takers treated him like their own family. The Chateau is conveniently located 5 minutes away from MD offices and the hospital. There is so much more we could say. We whole heartedly recommend the Chateau at Valley Center.

Very nice accommodations at Chateau Pacific, and I would recommend it to others in need of care. I'd live there myself! The staff did a great job for a very difficult resident.

Chateau at Valley Center has been excellent. We were so pleased with everything. My mom passed away, and they were so kind and helpful. I would totally recommend them.

The staff are very friendly. The community has activities for the residents to choose from. I wouldn't mind living her myself. The apartments have a kitchenette with nice clean carpet and walk in closets. Most of the apartments have balconies. The community will do laundry for the resident for an additional fee. The community is able to provide medication management, bathing assistance, and hygiene care as some of the care offered.

Excellent place!! I love it and my mom loves it too. We learned about the Chateau when we went to a function at the Northshore Senior Center with our mom. At first I read the old reviews on this site and was hesitant because of the negative things people said. But I decided to check into it for myself. We took our time and toured places in Bothell and in Woodinville. We ate lunch, talked to other family members and current residents and were invited to attend an activity or come back for a meal on our own at any time which we did. In comparison to the other retirement communities in the area, this one stands above all others. My mom moved in and has been living at Chateau for 6 months. I am still blown away by everything they do on a daily basis for the residents and family members. The staff is so kind, professional, informed and responsive to any and all needs. They have such positive energy. The people at the Senior Center told us about Chateau and gave us the Marketing Directors names. They both knew what is going on with my mom and made it very smooth for us. They took the stress out of the move by preparing us and my mom for the move. One day my mom said something concerning to an employee. It wasn't "what" my mom said, but it was "how" she said it. She apparently slurred her words. The employee who was not in nursing immediately told the nurse in charge. The nurse assessed my mom right away and had 911 take her to the ER. It turned out she was having a stroke. She received needed medication to help stop the problems the stroke could have caused. They care about their residents and I am so thankful for everything they do. We are so happy we chose Chateau at Bothell Landing. It means the world to us to have my mom in such a great place. I don't feel like my mom is in a place for "old people". The people who live their have fun and it shows in all that they do.

My mom has lived there for over 6 years. The food in the bistro and the brick are excellent. Staff is very friendly, lots of activities, central to services, shopping, doctors. It's not perfect of course, no place is but she loves it there, has many friends. The people in memory care have planned activities. They are never super happy places but i think the Chateau does an overall good job

Chateau at Bothell Landing was a gorgeous community! It's definitely a good option for families in Bothell. We felt it was too far from us and would make visiting difficult.

Both my client, who is now living at Chateau Pacific, and I, are very happy with his new living arrangements. I have found the staff at Chateau Pacific to be truly caring, kind and helpful, and the community is beautiful and very well maintained. I have been very pleased with the outcome of every conversation I have had with any of the staff, and I believe that they truly care about the happiness and well-being of my client. As an additional note, he tells the foo is really exceptional. He moved from another similar facility and was expecting "institution food". He has been very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the foot is, and their willingness to serve him larger portions. I am really very happy with this facility and would very willingly recommend it for other clients or others who might be looking for this type of living facility.

We were looking (literally) for A Place for Mom and she decided on the Chateau Pacific. This one, she just clicked with it right off the bat. They're the only ones that I've seen that has a heated therapy pool (not huge, but large enough for laps or exercise or to play with the kids in), plus a hydro tub. If you want to have a bath, you can go to one of the hydro tubs on each floor - it's used for therapy for arthritis patients. It's one of the few places that I've seen that will allow family to come with residents on outings. I've not seen any other communities that do this. They really facilitate keeping the families involved in the seniors' life. The sales manager came in on her day off and conducted the tour and stayed late to sign the paperwork when my mother made her decision. We were just blown away, but the swimming pool was the clincher. It's owned by a local company that owns 3 other properties. The price is comparable or even a little less than some of the other communities that we looked at. The only caveat I have is that the food is not gourmet, but it is good. That's the only thing - they have average cooks, not excellent cooks. They do make things to your specifications, though. They had welcoming committees, lots of activities and the facility was just beautiful. They're expanding their movie theater with better seating and that tells me that they're still making an investment in the community and in the residents. Right there in the front, they had 2 computers with oversized monitors available for residents

Toured after Bothell location said no openings for 6 months in budget. Lovely and has a swimming pool, family times, trips, gardening area, and more. One opening. Brought Mom in and she loved it. Moving in!

The perfect place. Just not sure we can afford. Will continue to tour, but LOVE this place!

Overall it is very good except that they were not a Medicaid buy down facility which is what had asked for. It is very clean and nice. Staff were excellent, very friendly. Care was top notch. Meals were not to my Mom's liking, but she's very particular. My Mom greatly enjoyed the activities. It seemed expensive but relative to the facility and care wasn't too out of line.

They have been doing pretty good so far. It's pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. They take good care of her though. I really liked that the rooms were quite large, larger than a lot of them that I looked at.
