Easier than distance living

Very positive kind staff. Good food. Great cleaning and laundry services. Lots of fun activities to choose from. Some inconsistencies. When we’ve had concerns most have been a right away. We do understand there has been some turnover. All in all so great knowing he is safe and that I only have to drive to Visalia instead of Motto Bay to take him to appointments! Many of the staff members are over the top kind, patient, and accommodating!

Supportive and Friendly Staff

Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care was accommodating and supportive of the needs we had for my mother, who required significant staff support. They were communicative and when my mom needed to go to the hospital they were careful not to charge us the service fees. It would be helpful for people who are bedridden to have more engagement with staff in the room more regularly. Overall, I would recommend Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care to others.

Staff is always courteous and friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and orderly. Good place to visit. I hope I don’t have to live there. Not that it’s not good it’s just not home to me but it’s good for my mother-in-law will take good care of her here.

Expensive but best in the area.

In hindsight, I realized that the first question to ask is "Is this price inclusive?" There are always add-ons that significantly increase the cost. Overall I still think it is the best in my area. It's just more expensive than I anticipated. The staff are always courteous, smiling, and attentive. Meals always look appetizing, and the menu is varied. The residents are offered a variety of activities.

A Nice Place To Be

The community does well with keeping memory care residents occupied with games crafts and social interactions. The community fails to keep track of my husband's clothes. They are marked with his name and many are missing. He shows up wearing clothes that are not his. However, the clothes he ends up with are clean and in good condition. I chose Park Visalia on a recommendation and I knew he would be kept busy everyday by what I saw when I visited. Also the ratio of men and women was good. I do not worry about him there. Therefore, I have better peace of mind.

Madonna Gardens Assisted Living review

My mother in law is doing very well there. She says all the people there are so nice. The room is very comfortable and since it is a smaller facility. She gets around pretty well. With her dementia, it is nice for her to move around without getting lost. The outside garden areas are beautiful and she loves to walk around outside.

Welcoming Place-Caring Staff

We picked this community because of the location, cost, and it's a smaller community. They have hired more people/staff, which is good. They are willing to help. The residents are very friendly and nice. I would recommend to other familes.

Really enjoyed the visit, [name removed] was very warm and welcoming. We were able to speak to [name removed], Director of Activities, and she was very pleasant. The facility was clean, bright and the environment appeared friendly. Few concerns, we weren't allowed to visit the memory care unit which is what we are looking for and the cost to stay is higher than we expected but we were overall very satisfied with initial consultation.

A Safe Place, Caring Environment

Right now, it's complicated because of Covid. But if you get to know the right staff members, like the director and the heads of each department, and you get their direct phone numbers, you can get stuff done. I think they're really trying hard to keep everybody safe. Sometimes it feels like they're erring on the side of extreme caution, but I know it's for the residents' safety. So I have to just kind of let it go. and keep in mind it's not like a normal home situation where I could let my loved ones come and go as they please.

It's An Outstanding Community, That Anyone Would Enjoy

They are very friendly at this community. I would tell people to come on. The people like to visit and be friends with you. The atmosphere is very good. The dining is average, it has it's good times and bad. The maintenance is wonderful. The only thing you have to say is I have a problem and they are they to fix the issue. There is a park area that outside with a walkway and bench area. In the center of the community there is a courtyard, and it is delightful. This is also available for the memory care unit, and it is a separate area than the assisted living. This is a very nice community. Park Visalia is an affordable option.

Toured this "luxury" facility, it is nice. But... while the base price is reasonable, the level of care my father needs, plus extra costs for this and that, it was a deal breaker. Too expensive for us.

Pet Friendly Community

Mom has been doing well here however she has been in and out of the hospital due to hip surgery so she hasn't spent much time here. She likes the place it is clean and updating. Mom loves being outside so the fact she has a private entrance to a secure patio is wonderful to her. Plus the fact its easy access for her cat to roam in and out and not have to worry about it being safe. Mom is happy with the meals they provide. With moms limited mobile issues, the staff has been helpful and accommodating to her physical limitations.

The quality has changed but I would still recommend

We found Park Visalia with the help of A Place for Mom, they were very helpful during our search and suggested new things we hadn't considered. I'm thankful for their service and they were easy to work with. When my father-in-law moved into Park Visalia the staff was very helpful and accommodating. His first couple of weeks were very good.He enjoyed the food and even had dining buddies. There has since been a personal change. The quality of the food has gone down and they run out of coffee and soups. The director and his nurse changed as well. I would have rated them a five but with all these changes the quality of the experience is now a 4. I would recommend them still.
