Aviva Senior Living

It's in a good location; close to shops, which most women like. [name removed] and I have been out shopping twice. It's also close to Skyline Hospital. My friend has had to be taken to the ER twice and was admitted once so she has received the help she's needed. Staff have been friendly enough. They also decorated nicely for the holidays... Sometimes they don't serve what is on the published menu with no advance notice to the residents. Then the substitutes can be rather weak, like pimiento cheese sandwiches for example. Actual food itself is prepared well. I know it cuts down on costs but they also only use paper: paper plates, Styrofoam cups etc. It's been an overall great experience.

My loved one was a resident at Aviva Valparaiso and all were great! I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, available and accessible. The atmosphere is comfortable and peaceful. The ambassadors that help new residents acclimate are a great idea! It is more like a college dorm for seniors. The move in process was efficient. When there is a perceived hitch, Aviva is in front working out a solution even when it is a third party issue. I would recommend Aviva West Hartford to others.

I would highly recommend Aviva, without them my husband and I would not have been able to go on our trip. I felt very comfortable leaving my mom there and she had a great time. She felt as if she were on vacation too! The staff was great , very thorough and explained everything to us and my mom's room was wonderful.

The staff at Aviva Granbury is involved and they know the family when they walk in. They give feedback on how the residents are doing. Housekeeping comes weekly and they do wonderful and leave cards behind of their being there with date and time. The maintenance staff always respond on the day when asked. We get information on Facebook of activities and we are going to a Fall Festival celebration tonight. The move in process was smooth and they had everything ready for the day we transitioned. The food is great and the staff that waits on the tables treat it like a restaurant with timely service. One thing that the staff mentioned is that it can take 3-6 weeks for people to adjust and they were right. At about the 6th week, I reminded my Mom that she still had purpose in her life and she has adapted well by being encouraged and encouraging others. She said," If I can't be in my house then this is a great place to live." After she realized the friends that she was making, it made a difference and the staff helped with connecting residents together to build these friendships. I would recommend Aviva Granbury to others, in fact I already have.

They are very good addressing any issues you might have. They are very friendly and let us know is if they see anything different in your loved one they will let you know immediately. They could take her the same day she was released from [name removed}

The staff at Aviva West Hartford is very engaging and welcoming. The place is very clean and they do a nice job with housekeeping. Communication with the family is great. During the move in process, we had all of the support that we needed. Overall, the meals are good. Mom enjoys many of the community activities which they encourage and make newcomers feel welcome to join. I think it is always a challenge for folks to get used to community meals and entering the dining room as a newbie. Expect that, but know that they do try to welcome newcomers to join at tables of established folks. I would recommend Aviva West Hartford to families looking for a good place for seniors transitioning from independent to Community Living.

Overall, Maybelle Carter was the best option for care and affordable. We picked this community because of the cleanliness, great staff and service ,and it's affordable. Positive and friendly experience. Fully staffed facility and residents seem happy, content and taken care of by staff. Would highly recommend.

Everything has been great. Loved the sales rep there. Think communication once resident moves in could be more for the loved ones family that are involved. I also have to speak highly of the support and help from [name removed] at A Place for Mom; she is incredible and was a joy to work with.[name removed] in sales at Aviva was a joy to work with when we were researching housing options for our mother. No lie, I must have contacted sixty five places and I had gone on several tours. She did not make the experience feel contractual. Moving a loved one is not easy, and was exceptional. She answered all our questions, gave tours to my sister and me and then another tour to our brother on very short notice. She cares, and gets the emotions that go along with making such a decision and we cannot thank her enough for how easy she made the process. Our mother is so happy to be at Aviva! We are thrilled with our choice and are truly grateful for the incomparable support we received. We were blown away by AMC in all categories. Best of all was the people there. They treated my mother with the utmost dignity, care, and patience in her final days.

There are 5 siblings so we checked out the top three. Everyone liked Aviva ( formerly Rittenhouse Valparaiso) . It was able to offer my mom a choice of apartments and met her needs. She is about 10 minutes from me so it's convenient. My mom is still living at Aviva Valparaiso and it's going very well . She's been there 1 year now has made friends , involved in activities. She feels safe and comfortable. The facility staff are all very friendly and treat patients/visitors with professionalism. The apartments are great.

The meals have improved with a new chef, but they have been out of several staples like orange juice or cups and they are slow to replace it. There is supposed to be bread available at all times for them to make toast and I never see any. We would absolutely recommend AVIVA Maybelle Carter to other families! They are great! So many helpful and friendly people and the residents are happy. That makes a difference.

My loved one is a resident at Aviva West Hartford. This facility appears to be the type of facility that would appeal to someone categorized as "Independent" and still ambulatory with resident parking spaces accessible to the front entrance, flexible dining hours with breakfast (anytime of day, is my understanding), a dedicated movie room with comfortable seating, a pool table or billiards (I don't know the difference), a pub with happy hours, and a chapel to steal away for quiet meditation/communion with God. If I lived here, I would be content.

We picked this community, because it was newly remodeled, new memory care director who wants to work with families also to find the best activities and options for the residents, new fall detection system. I would recommend to others.

It was a very nice facility. The staff were good. The price made the difference in choice of the community that I chose.

It is a very nice environment for my mother. They have a great staff that provide good care at a reasonable monthly cost.

I was very happy with Maybelle Carter. MC is a beautiful facility. It is a good value for ur money. The activities inside and the outings are great. The recent remodeling is beautiful. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Staff were great always helpful and management was great. My only problem was the Doctor who signed the death certificate said he died from Alzheimer's and did not get the report from Aultman Hospital which was from kidney failure and complications from prostate cancer which has caused me problems with the VA compensation. Overall I was very happy with Aviva Hills!

Aviva Valparaiso has been a really good community for our family. The staff members have been very good - they seem to genuinely care for our loved ones needs and they always answer the questions we may have. We aren't there all the time for activities but we do know they take little trips, they sing and even bring in musical entertainment. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

Memory care staff was absolutely incredible for my mom and my entire family! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]went above and beyond and I will continue to love and care about them even though my mom has passed. Again, the staff was amazing and treated us like we were family and cared for my mom with professionalism and in a kind and loving manner. [name removed]does an incredible job and is so gentle and kind Loves all the residents we were so happy to find such a friendly, loving place that truly felt like home
