Avalon Memory Care

Avalon Memory Care in Arlington has been wonderful. I always get a "live" person when I call, not an answering machine. Everyone is very professional there and communication is not a problem. The care that my sister in law receives is excellent. She has been in 4 other facilities and the difference in care is substantial. From start to move, Michelle was excellent in the transition phase. The manager and staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate people. I also like the medical care she receives in house. So far, our experience with Avalon has been great! I don't feel like my sister in law is just another "bed" in a facility of 200 residents. This is a small facility and everyone knows each other. I also see the same staff each time I visit. There is not the usual employee turnover here and there is not the usual "large corporate" feel to this place. I would definitely recommend Avalon.

Avalon is a beautiful facility that is spacious and has lots of amenities. The place is clean and well kept. The staff does an excellent job of providing care with compassion to the residents. The level of care is excellent.

We are happy with the care at Avalon Memory Care. The staff seems really caring. They give personal care for each resident. I haven't across anything that needs improving there yet. I am pleased with the experience overall.

This is a fabulous property. The people are fabulous as well. I'm very happy there.

It has been over 7 months since my mom passed away and I regret that I am just getting around to writing a review. The process of moving my mom from her home that she loved, was one of the hardest decisions our family has ever had to face. We were anxious, sad and felt like we had failed by not being able to take care of her at home any longer. The staff walked us through this very hard process. Once she was there, we could focus on her, not having to do all the caregiving alone. The staff were so loving and worked really hard to accomodate her in all areas of her care. We are so thankful for the care she recieved. I would reccoomed Avalon to anyone needing care for their loved one.

I recently lost my dad who was at Avalon for almost 4 years. Jennifer, Brenda, Cheryl and many more took excellent care of my dad during his illness and up until his death. Jennifer really spoiled him. If he wasn't having a good day, she knew just what to do to cheer him up...she would go to Sonic and get him a strawberry milkshake. I just really appreciated the little things that made my dad feel special and so loved. I have to travel often with my job, but I always had a peace of mind knowing that if anything came up, Jennifer would call me right away and she would be on top of things. All I can tell anyone who is facing this tough decision, Avalon was a real blessing to my family. I will be eternaly grateful for the care they gave my amazing dad.

Our mother lived at this residence for over three years and my brother, sister, and I were very pleased with the love, care, and concern that the staff members gave her. She actually passed away there, surrounded by loving people. We could not have asked for a better environment for her.

I think they do a great job overall at Avalon Memory care, our experience with them has been a very good one! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly and professional. Compared to some of the other communities I've had experience with I really appreciate the interest the staff here takes in the residents, there is a lot of genuine feeling and concern in the care they provide!

We recently placed my mother in law in Avalon at the location near Lake Worth. The staff is excellent and has already made my mother in law feel at home. She has only been there a week as of Friday. Overall we couldn't be more pleased. A place where she has freedom to roam about but cannot injure herself. Her meds are given daily and she has meals and snacks. I think Avalon Memory Care has done an excellent job. The staff members took good care of my loved one while she was there at the facility and really we could not be happier about that. They are just wonderful.

I think their care is excellent at Avalon Memory Care. My mother-in-law has remarked many times at how kind everyone is. She has been calmer and happier than she has been anywhere else. I will say when we first talked about moving in we were told there would be more support services if she needed go to the hospital and that ended up not being the case. I really am overall very pleased with this facility.

I toured many communities before Avalon. As soon as I arrived, I knew this was the right place for my dad. It is a beautiful place, caring staff and great rooms. Matt gave a detailed tour and introduced us to staff, residents and visitors, all of whom he knew by name. He was also available for the many follow-up questions We had after our tour. I have complete peace of mind knowing my dad is safe and in a place that truly cares for his well being and happiness. Our family highly recommends Avalon to anyone looking for this type of care.

My father was only there for 6 weeks, but they were phenomenal. They were very attentive. My father was one of the memory care patients who was belligerent and outspoken and they were just so thoughtful and so caring. I can't say enough good things about them.

From the very beginning at Avalon Memory Care the staff have been very helpful. They even got her in before we had our paperwork finalized. We thought this whole experience would be a nightmare but staff has just made the experience wonderful. I am so impressed with everything here. I am really pleased with this facility and the staff.

I chose Avalon Memory Care because it was a smaller place and my mom would not feel like a number and they have a lot of cross training. They seem to really care about the residents and it's close to home for us.

I think they've done really, really well working with my mother and helping her adjust. She has been difficult, but I applaud their efforts and everything they've done.

They have been pretty good so far. The staff is excellent. I've been happy so far. They are very good with communicating with us as soon as possible, if anything comes up. They are very caring. They are just getting geared up with activities, and they have some volunteers coming in, if there aren't any specific activities, they will sit and spend time with the residents in the afternoon. I liked the ratio of staff to residents. I really liked what Ray and Charlotte, the owners had to say. I liked the fact that it was smaller with fewer people. The owners are there all the time, and they seem to be very hands on. They are exceptionally caring and nice, and the facility is great.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. No sticking patient out of sight, but allow to see and be seen in common areas. Guests are allowed to visit with family most any time of day. Staff patient, calm and responsive.

My mother had about $80 in her billfold when she first went to Avalon. I took out $70 and left her $10. She stayed at Avalon for over a year. After she died I was going through her billfold and the $10 was still there. That says something about the staff. I was so thankful that we could join Mother at any meal. We even asked to eat our lunch outside at the picnic table. Everyone was so accommodating. Thank you to Jennifer and all the staff.

The owners and staff at this facility are first rate. The facilities are second to none. Avalon provides as close to a home-like atmosphere as possible for their residents. I highly recommend The Avalon in Cedar Park.
