My 94-year-old Mother is currently a resident at Siskiyou Springs Senior Living. If you are looking for senior residential care, please consider the following: A few days ago, [name removed], Executive Director, was spoon-feeding lunch to a resident. This act of kindness comes directly from the heart. I doubt this is in her job description! This illustrates a strong manager leading by example. She could have easily delegated this task to her staff. What does this level of compassionate care demonstrate to her team? How many other Executive Directors perform the most basic of services directly to their clients? Another asset is [name removed]son, [name removed], head of maintenance. They say the nut does not fall far from the tree. He seemingly got his heart from his Mother and his “can-do” attitude from the military. I highly recommend Siskiyou Springs Senior Living and trust [name removed], [name removed], and the staff to respect, love, and protect my Mother in this twilight of her life.

A very pleasant, calm facility. Nicely laid out and bright, with plenty of activities for residents. Residents’ rooms are attractive. There seems to be adequate staffing and good help for people who need assistance showering, getting to meals or having meals brought to their rooms. Thank you.

This community seems to be good but due to covid, we have not been able to visit. I would recommend this community to others

My mom has lived in various assisted living facilities over the past 15 years and I highly recommend Siskiyou Springs Senior Living (formerly Brooksdale). Mom has been there since 2015. The staff/team is conscientious with Mom's needs, helps with her activities of daily living, support for her health care needs, and housekeeping, laundry and transportation services. Although I live a few hours away, knowing whenever ANYTHING happens to Mom that I'm notified immediately helps me sleep better. As Mom lives quite a distance, we use GrandPad (like facebook but secure) and anytime Mom needs assistance to use her GrandPad, the team at Sisikyou is right there to help her connect with us using this video chat device. Being able to see Mom, to communicate with her, give Moms the sense we're nearby Mom is happy, well-cared for and her needs met. We couldn't be happier!!!

Excellent facility. Staff very conscientious, caring, and competent. My Mother has been there for over 2 years and we are happy with her care. Quick response to our concerns and staff notifies us in a timely manner if there is an issue. I would highly recommend Siskiyou Springs Senior Living (formerly Brookdale} to anyone looking for a terrific place for themselves or a loved one.

I have a relative living at Sequoia Springs in the assisted living facility. The staff are very friendly. They are concerned about the comfort and health, both physically and mentally, of the residents. I know, without a doubt, my relative is in good hands at Sequoia Springs in Fortuna, CA.

My mom has lived in Sequoia Springs for over a year. The transition from her home of 57 years to a whole new town and a new living situation was really hard for her. She suffers from cognitive impairment, so it was even more distressing and confusing for her. From the moment she moved in, every staff member took her under their wings. They are compassionate, caring people. I was allowed to spend several night there with her, in order to help her feel safe. The staff invited her to functions, and introduced her to ladies that she now calls her friends. Everyone there knows her name and treat her with kindness and respect. As her cognition continues to change, they help me understand what's going on and help me plan for future changes. Now that we are living through this virus nightmare and we are unable to enter the facility to visit, the staff have made all kinds of arrangements so that I can still safely see my mom without endangering anyone. They are so kind and loving and they regularly monitor her health and well being. I know my mom is very safe there, and I truly do not worry at all. Regarding pricing; I had checked into other facilities and Sequoia Springs is well within a reasonable price. In fact, the cost is below that of facilities in larger cities. There are no surprise fees. The facility is very clean and nice and they have exercise classes, interesting speakers and activities, and even a happy hour. I personally could not be happier with the decision to move my mom here. Although she would rather be at her own home, she recognizes that she is safer here, and she has adjusted. I am truly grateful.

I have been extremely pleased with this facility thus far. It’s very warm and sunny here. The staff has been wonderful in accommodating us and they are just so friendly. The community has a lot of activities like going to see plays, bingo, cocktail hours, and exercise classes. The facility is very reasonable in price and it just looks nice here. It’s warm and decorated well throughout the seasons. It’s not clustered here and there is no odor like you would expect from an assisted living facility. I would recommend this community to other families.

This is a great community for my mother's care. I like the staff and she is happy that they are caring and very attentive. The menu is good and she likes the variety.of the meals that are healthy. They have nice activities and the community is very clean and maintained. We would recommend this community for good care and a nice value for other families.

The thing that impressed me the most is the amount of care they offer. They have the most residents to staff of any communities in this area.It's the only one in the Clear Lake area that I felt was suitable for my mom. The people are very prompt and very positive. When you walk in everyone is so upbeat.

I like this community for the great care that my mom is receiving. I like knowing she does like the good variety of meals, She likes the staff and the clean community. They offer her to participate in activities with the other residents. We would highly recommend this community for the care and value to other families.

This community is very good for the care for my mom. The community is clean and always well maintained. The staff is friendly and caring to her needs. The food is very good and a nice variety. The activities are offered for her to participate in. She likes to be social. We would recommend the care and the value to other families here.

Brookdale Clearlake is going really well. The whole staff, from the nursing to the marketing and sales, work really good as team. It's not like there are certain jobs that the nurses wont do and I'm really impressed with that. It really seems like the number #1 goal is to take care of the resident.

I thought that it was a good experience for me. I thought the employees were very nice. They were rather exceptional and were marvelous in that they seemed to be able to do everything. I thought the people there were very friendly and nice. I was really impressed.

I don't think there was anything specifically I could say that they can improve on. What I would say is that the staff was very helpful to my father with his overall care. I felt he was taken care of very well and the staff really cared about his well-being. Overall I was very happy that he was there as opposed to another place.

So far everything has gone very well at Emeritus at Meadowlark. I don't have any other facilities to compare it to, but I am entirely satisfied by what they've provided. It's always clean, the laundry gets done on time, and my loved one has had good things to say about the food. I'd recommend to others looking into senior living in the area.

They've done an absolutely fabulous job at Emeritus at Orchard Park! I'd give them a 10 out of 5 if I could! The staff are very friendly, professional, and conscientious. They get in touch with you right away if anything goes wrong, and keep you in the loop about your loved ones care. And Mom absolutely loves it! She was excited about moving here, which was a big load off of my mind! I would recommend them to anyone looking into senior care, they are a great place!

My mother really likes this place. The employees are great, food fantastic, service is awesome. If I ever need a place this is where I want to go!!
