A good stay!

My husband and I stayed at Legacy at Highwoods for a respite stay and it was a pretty good experience. The staff was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. I think overall I would recommend this facility.

Too small!

The independent living side was very small, this community was more dedicated to assisted living. I wanted somewhere with a bigger group of independent living residents. The architecture was gorgeous and the woman was very frank about everything.

Grandmothers Care

A nice community. a new and modern community. Seemed like they had alot of active people. They charged extra for physical therapy. Patients were monitored differently then what we wanted. It felt like more of a apartment experience. The staff was great, but this has more of a modern feeling then a homey community. They do offer great activities to help stay active. We would over all recommend this community to other families.

My Husband Is Doing Pretty Well Here

My husband is doing well here at this community. They have a good staff, I know he being cared for well. They do a good job keeping the community well-kept, and clean. They have activities available for the resident, and they have new activities director. He is pleased with the food, the meals are nice. I know he is safe and in good hands. Overall I would recommend this community.

I would recommend this place

It is a very beautiful facility. There were some things they excelled at and then some things they did not do so well with. He was here for a month and the staff were absolutely wonderful, but one thing that made me upset was that they never got him out of bed until I asked him to. I would recommend them to others looking, the price is really reasonable especially compared to some other places that we looked into.

Our experience with The Village so far

We chose this because my mother preferred the location to me and she liked the modern, up to date look of the house, it is a very nice layout. Also the size of the closet is huge, it is almost like another room. My mother has not been able to experience the meals or activities due to covid. They are really expansive for what they offer. I would recommend as long as you can afford it.

a welcoming community

The location/setting is very nice. The place is well-maintained inside and out the staff for the most part are quite gracious. The food could be better. They just turned over chefs, so perhaps it may improve. In case you didn't know, the director was replaced last December.

Review for Rose Arbor Village

Food is just okay and costs $[removed]/meal as food is not included in rent. Rents are high. Upon leaving the facility, walk-thru staff said we might have to pay for entire new flooring because of a couple scratches. Ridiculous.

Mother was happy living there

Mother was satisfied. Difficult communication as staff don’t return calls. Billing issues with frequent changes in staff. Quickly, moved to memory care without exploring other options. Developed COVID and was unable to recover and return.

Staff could use more training and food could be better

I chose this facility for myself because I liked the location. I wanted to be closer to my family. When I first moved in, it felt like it wasn’t operating at full speed. The staff members here are friendly but I think they could use some more training. The building itself is pretty well kept and clean. As for the food, they’re trying. Most of the time it’s good and they listen to what you tell them and what you don’t like. They are making some changed with the menu which will make an improvement. I would recommend this facility to other families.

Need separate staff for dining service!

Just talked to my mom again about the long wait time before someone came to assist her to the bathroom. She is on her 4th UTI and has been there less than a year. Many good things about the place, but they should hire separate staff for the dining room instead of using the CNAs on staff because the CNAs are tied up during each meal time, unable/slow to provide assistance if needed.

Food is for preschoolers

My mother in law has been at this facility for several months. The nutrition is questionable at best. For the fees they charge, you would assume there is a nutritional offering for every meal. My mother in law gets corn dogs as a snack. She deserves salmon and filet and fresh vegetables for these prices. We are terribly disappointed

Need more qualified staff.

The place is clean and rooms are very nice. Not enough qualified staff. CNAs double as dining service staff, so schedule revolves around meal time because that is where the CNAs will be. Food could be better, unless you come to visit when there is a party. Have had to call many times to advocate for my parent. Attitude of some staff and the head nurse needs improvement.

End of life care

I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in Wellbrook. My sister in law entered wellbook as a hospice resident. Hospice should be a comfort to patient and family. Unfortunately the manager of Wellbrook, [name removed], didn’t care that it was my sister in laws end of life. Instead of encouraging her husband to spend as much time as he would like, [name removed] did just the opposite. He resented that my sister in law had a husband that wanted to be with his wife, the woman he deeply loved. [name removed] actually told my bother that he should go away & they’ll take care of everything. Except they didn’t. I would never suggest to anyone that Wellbrook was great facility.

Review for Rose Arbor Village

The staff turnover is concerning, all pointing to administrative inexperience. Staffing and care for those needing higher levels of assistance is not consistent. We moved our mother to another facility after two months when I had to dispatch an ambulance to retrieve her from a pool of her own urine and a getting a fractured elbow after her calls for assistance went unanswered for two hours. It was easier for her to ask Siri to call me in Texas than wait any longer for her cries to go unanswered. I do not recommend rose arbor for any person with acute health needs

Going under - unpaid bills

We used this service to find The Village at Heritage park in 2020. It has really gone down hill - it's for sale, it has unpaid bills and deferred maintenance - the trash bill has not been paid - trash is piling up and causing pest issues. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The administrative staff at this place are terrible. [name removed] the ED is obtuse and [name removed] the Operations VP clearly got promoted based on tenure, not skill. Both are horrible at problem resolution.
