Oregon is located on the West Coast in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Oregon is nicknamed the “Beaver State,” due to the large number of the animals that called the state home when the fur traders and pioneers first arrived. Oregon is a pacific playground with over 360 miles of beaches and more than 30 million acres of forest. Its larger cities like Portland and the college town of Eugene are vibrant and eclectic places with plenty of activity. Oregon’s majestic natural beauty combined with its relatively mild temperatures make the state a great place to call home and a wonderful location to retire.
Well, The Canyons is really just an apartment building with community activities, more than a senior facility. That's great if, like me, that's what you need. The senior residents love that there are people...
It's a great place. I would recommend to others. We picked this community because of the price, and it was the only one available.

I would say that it was a lovely place for mom to live but that they are woefully unprepared to deal with anyone with dementia who is uncooperative, in denial, and occasionally loud.

My dad had a heart attack and my parents were not able to go back to their home of 65 years. I needed a place immediately for my mom to begin to reside. Veronica at Brookdale was instrumental at securing a...
I cannot say enough good things about Suncrest Place and their staff! My dad has been a resident since January 2024 and has been treated with so much respect and kindness by the staff. The staff genuinely...
Mom did really well at Morrow Heights . She fit right in and made a lot of friends. We ended up moving away from there though and moved back to Washington state. We now reside in Wenatchee Washington. My mom...
