We toured Five Star Residences of Fort Wayne and we loved the facility itself! It's very nice! However, our tour guide seemed pushy to us and also gave us some wrong information.

In general, the staff at The Forum at the Crossing are very respectful, kind and patient. Based off of our personal experience, I would definitely recommend this facility to other families who are searching.

The meals and service of the meals is not so good. There are lots of complaints from the residents in regard to bad meals and service (long waits for food). It is a very nice community and all the residents there are nice, friendly and help each other. Our loved one also really enjoys the activities. With that area of improvement we would recommend the Sugar Grove community to other families.

Everyone was so very helpful and kind. Overall, they have been very attentive and helpful to my dad. I don't worry about him anymore because I know someone is there to help him. The cost versus value is good. Most other communities are more expensive.

My loved one is not thrilled with the meals and says that they are 'bland.' Otherwise, things are good for her at this facility. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I base my answers partly on how my sister feels about being there. Staffing and care depends on who is there. She says there are some really good care givers, others not so much. Those that I have met seem very nice and helpful, which may be the ones she appreciates that are there. Food seems to be an issue with her. Think she determines how good it is on how much better my cooking is, lol. She has said the chicken always gives her diarrhea, so she tries not to have that. To me when I've been there at meal time, it usually looks good and smells good. But I know food is usually most people's complaint. Not sure if she can choose from a separate menu or not? She's not much of a people person so activities she refuses to partake in. Overall cost for what she gets, I feel it's pretty reasonable. Due to her care level -3- she needs assistance for toilet and bathing. They do her laundry weekly and clean her room. I have no complaints regarding what they have to do for her and know her personality is not always pleasant, so they probably deserve what they get paid to deal with her type of patient. My overall assessment of The Village is I think it's a great place! I referred my good friend to get her mom moved there and think she is far more pleased with them than where she was. I'm happy my sister is there and overall ok with this as a good place for her to be.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Make the residents feel welcome and nice small community. My mom says that the food isn't seasoned well and they need better choices. A lot of the baking items are very dry. Soups are too thick. The residents need more variety of choices.

I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I toured this facility and I considered them as an option. However, they did not have a washer/dryer unit in the room which was a requirement of my mom.

Overall it has been a pretty decent and positive experience. The grounds are really well kept from what we can see and they are updating the interior of the building.

We didn't like the setup for walking her dog at Brenden Gardens. Too far to walk from the apt and the ground slopes without handrails to assist her getting back into the building.

The nurses/aids basically come in and do their job such as handing out meds or deliver food or assist with shower but are not very talkative or stick around for long to see if there are any issues needing to be addressed. [name removed] sprained her foot while there; she was taken to ER for X-ray to show no break and immediately returned to her room with no bandage, ice/heat, or pain meds to help with swelling or pain. And was made to feel as though she was a burden due to needing extra assistance.

The staff have been good to work with and do try their best during these trying times. My mom has bonded with a couple of them. And they were in contact when my mom had to go to the hospital last month. It felt like the most comprehensive for the care I wanted for my mom and it had paydown to Medicaid. Further she could stay in the same room when she switched to Medicaid and not have a roommate. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Tiffany Springs is a newer community which we really like and at the time our loved one moved in they have been fully staffed which we here is a big problem with a lot of communities lately. They have a lot of activities going on for the residents and while they do not pressure or make them get involved they really encourage the residents and our loved one to get out of their comfort zone and get involved which we really like. When it comes to the meals the serve three big meals a day which is nice but our loved one has gained weight since moving in so we wish they would just monitor the meal portions a little closer.

The staff are very nice to my loved one. I'm very happy about the care my loved one is receiving. There are lots of activities for the residents to participate in. My concern is the food as my loved one has gained weight. I wish the community would be able to assist with better dietary restrictions for low salt and sugar.

We looked at an apartment there and my Uncle thought that was too independent for him at 91. He was concerned with walking to meals. Another facility was just a better fit for him.

They have some activites, which has been pretty good. We picked this community because ofthe location, and it's close to other family members. The apartment was a good and the cost was sufficient. The people are wonderful. They need to hire more maintenance staff. Overall, my loved one is pretty happy.

Brenden Gardens has been good for me. I've told lots of friends about Brenden Gardens and two of my friends have moved here. I enjoy being around all of the people during breakfast, lunch and dinner and have made a lot of friends.

I had a good tour experience with Alexi Senior Living, the guy who showed me around did a nice job. I did not like that there were different floors. The assisted living residents who needed less care were on the first floor, but then memory care residents were on the second floor. To me that did not make sense. I just did not like the division of the residents.

We chose this community because, it was a good first impression, and was presented very well by the sales team. Overall, it has been a postive experience for my loved one.
